We are delighted to be partnering with The St Martin-in-the-Fields Trust who are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to increase levels of engagement, interest and financial support from trusts and charitable foundations for the St Martin-in-the-Fields Trust.
St Martins is an iconic 300 year old church in Trafalgar Square in London, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, and The St Martin-in-the-Fields Trust exists solely to raise money to support the costs of maintaining and conserving the historic buildings, for developing new faith based initiatives and projects to support homeless people in London and for the advancement of their world class music programmes across the globe.
In this pivotal role, the new Trusts and Foundations Manager will focus on securing gifts through applications to trusts, foundations, livery companies and statutory funders.
Primarily responsible for the management of an existing pipeline of a diverse pool of trusts and foundations, both existing and prospective, you will maximise philanthropic support for St Martin-in-the-Fields and its Trust. You will have:
- A proven track record in developing and writing high quality communications, (fundraising applications, proposals and impact reports).
- Specialised knowledge of trusts and grants fundraising and management.
- Effective relationship management, cultivation and stewardship of trust and foundation funders with the ability to continue to build a prospect pipeline based upon sound research techniques.
- An approach to thorough and meticulous attention to detail.
The role will require an individual with excellent organisational skills and creativity who is used to working at an efficient and effective pace and the ability to build strong working relationships with a broad range of people internally and externally.

Sight Scotland is Scotland’s leading charity providing specialist care, education and research for people with vision impairment. The Supporter Fundraiser will join Sight Scotland at an exciting stage, with a newly formed Cause and Engagement team, a new organisational strategy and direction, and a roadmap for fundraising planned. The charity is recruiting for 5 other fundraising roles alongside this role.
This role gets to see the full spectrum of what Sight Scotland’s amazing supporters do for the charity. You will spend time out and about meeting supporters across Scotland, understanding their fundraising goals and supporting them to achieve and surpass them. You will engage with community groups, speak at schools and workplaces, recruit and manage volunteers and support the delivery of fundraising events.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships with people across a wide spectrum of age, background, disability, and motivation. A willingness to travel is a must as you will need to be out from behind a desk to build those all important relationships. This role is an excellent starting point for fundraising as a career path, but some experience within charities would be useful for this role. The charity was set up in December 2003 to ensure that bereaved children and their families receive the best possible support following the death of someone close. The organisation is a leading UK bereavement charity, providing free, professional services and support to 1,000 bereaved children, young people and their families a year. What the job involves
We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.
Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.
Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.
You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.
In this role, you’ll also need the ability to prioritise tasks and handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and manage challenging conversations when needed. Experience with online community moderation and staying informed on current web tools and trends will be advantageous as we continuously improve our site.

The Finance Business Partner will report into the Senior Finance Business Partner and provide Directorate and departmental support in achieving financial and operational objectives. Strategy and leadership:

Sightsavers works with partners in over 30 countries across Africa and South Asia to eliminate avoidable blindness and support the empowerment of people with disabilities to learn, earn and participate equally in society.
Sightsavers’ Empowerment and Inclusion Strategic Framework explains our rights-based approach to social inclusion and our commitment to the progressive mainstreaming of disability throughout our programming. It underpins all our social inclusion work and complements our other global strategies on eye health, education, NTDs and research. The core objectives of the unrestricted portfolio include increasing access to economic empowerment pathways for people with disabilities, removing barriers in market systems, and leveraging initial seed funding to secure larger donor investments.
Purpose
The key purpose of this evaluation is to review and document the experience of implementation from the past two years to inform future strategic decision making. Sightsavers is seeking a Consultancy to conduct a comprehensive evaluation aimed at understanding the models and approaches that demonstrate effective pathways towards inclusive employment, contributing to the evidence and knowledge base of Sightsavers’ economic empowerment portfolio. The evaluation will place a particular emphasis on how the design and delivery of programmes might be enhanced for future programmatic work including a deep dive into two specific project approaches, IT academies and agriculture.
The Consultancy will be expected to evaluate the project level data and materials as well as primary data collected and consider if and how the projects have contributed towards the programme theory of change.
Scope of Work
The Consultancy will evaluate:
- If the purpose of the unrestricted portfolio has been achieved
- What models or approaches demonstrate improvement in economic inclusion of people with disabilities
- What partnership models are effective in providing leadership on inclusive employment
- What prevents or motivates the provision of a full range of products and services by financial institutions to people with disabilities. How we can use this knowledge to drive greater financial inclusion

Timeline
The consultancy is expected to be conducted between December 2024 to end of August 2025.
Sightsavers will welcome expressions of interest from qualified independent evaluators or consultancy companies. An individual or team with members located in the relevant countries (Malawi, Kenya, Nigeria) would be preferred. The Consultancy and team members should have the following core competencies and experience.
Consultancy’s expertise
- Depth of knowledge conducting evaluations of economic empowerment programmes
- Previous experience working in West and East African countries, particularly Malawi, Kenya and/or Nigeria
- A proven track record of working on disability inclusion
- Previous experience developing and evaluating Theories of Change

A consultancy with a proven track record in the above will be procured to undertake the project through an expression of interest process.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3250 children in 2024-25.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.
Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a Manchester Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to children facing disadvantage communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base, but who is also able to travel frequently around the Greater Manchester area to visit schools.The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year. The weekly hours for this role (currently 12-14 p/week) are likely to increase in future.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers
• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms
• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and communicate this to others

• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE POST
