BACKGROUND

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.

JOB PURPOSE

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Engagement Partner will be responsible for the remote engagement of schools, teachers, children and young people and the communities in their allocated area. They will support schools with the setup, rollout and continuous improvement of breakfast provision, engage with the wider school community to educate on the importance of breakfast on learning and to enable increased uptake in a barrier and stigma-free way by optimising provision and encouraging reach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•To develop a relationship with the supported schools to enable, preserve, embed, enhance and extend stigma and barrier free breakfast provision.

•To educate and engage with the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people on the importance of breakfast and implications of hunger as a barrier learning through various online support including assemblies, staff meetings, online events and regional events throughout the academic year, all supported remotely.

•To remotely engage with the wider community to advocate for the importance of breakfast, the work that we are doing in existing schools and to support our campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.

• To develop brand awareness in schools and local communities in line with our marketing strategy

• To support the recruitment of new schools with remotely launching new breakfast provisions, adapting to the requirements of the school and children and young people, and advising on best practise

• To remotely support any supporter visits, volunteering or any funder related requirements

• To remotely support any media requests as directed through the Policy & Engagement team

• To capture and report on “storytelling” to enable the organisation to utilise qualitative data to support external communication

• To explore, share and deliver on new engagement ideas across the department and organisation

Scope

The RHN is a leading national centre of excellence, providing adult person-centred services that span the entire care pathway from post-acute rehabilitation services to end of life care, for people with complex Neuro-disability and their families, underpinned by a strong research and education programme.

The Fundraising Department is a small and friendly team, responsible for raising funds for a variety of vital therapies and services for the patients and residents. The role:

The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:

1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Senior Technical Engineer – Infrastructure

We are seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for leading the Infrastructure team and ensuring that the organisations infrastructure is maintained, is secure, is available and has the correct capacity to meet the organisation’s needs.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: Salary circa £39,655 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,100 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)

Contract: This is a fixed term contract for 12 months

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) is the charitable arm of  CWGC. As CWGF’s Trusts & Corporate Fundraising Officer, you'll generate income by creating exceptional written applications and reports. To do this, you'll dive into research, keeping tabs on all fundraising opportunities. Working with different teams, you'll craft strong grant proposals.
 
You'll bring in new corporate supporters by building relationships, sponsorships, and extra support. In this dynamic team, you'll plan costing, and execute various activities in a charity experiencing an invigorating period of expansion. Job Title – Solicitor - Senior Solicitor (Education Law Team)

Job Description​

Delivering the Philanthropy plan​

• Work with the Senior Philanthropy Lead and Head of Fundraising to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy ​
• Build and maintain a portfolio of existing and new major donors who give or can give £15,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey​
• Line manage the Philanthropy Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance​
• Work with our Prospect Research & Administration Intern to identify new potential Bookmark major donors, working with trustees, staff, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to secure introductions and make asks of prospective supporters​
• Lead on philanthropy events, working with the wider team in delivering income generating, cultivation and stewardship activities ​
• Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand​
• Work closely with the rest of the Fundraising team to ensure opportunities to maximise income for the fundraising team​

Person specification​

Essential​

• A successful track record in high value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five figure gifts, to meet or exceed targets​
• Experience developing relationships with high-net-worth individuals through all stages of the donor cycle​
• Experience working on successful charity events that meet fundraising targets​
• Great verbal communication skills, demonstrated by strong relationships with donors and colleagues. You will have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate​
• Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a major donor audience​
• Experience growing and managing a pipeline, planning for your portfolio and increasing income​
