About the role:
The role of the Services Manager is pivotal to leading the delivery of our services; developing and improving our existing services; and creating new services to widen our impact on veterans and their families, ensuring our clients are supported into meaningful and sustainable employment, with an approach that is tailored to their individual needs.
You’ll be managing a delivery team of up to 8 people, supporting them to deliver our services to veterans and their families to a high standard, and working closely with other service managers to ensure consistency. You’ll also lead on engagement & outreach for your designated region, to raise awareness of our services, to ensure we reach all veterans and their families who need our support.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Working as part of the veterans and families leadership team, contributing to the strategic, cultural, & technical development and service delivery for the organisation and the veteran and families services team and deputise for colleagues where required.
- Working closely with other Service Managers lead on the delivery of our services, ensuring these are effectively and safely delivered, monitoring performance to meet agreed targets, identifying any concerns and taking appropriate action and escalation where required.
- Lead on and contribute to the improvement of existing services and development of new services, aligned with the charity’s strategic objectives, based on evidence and data to meet the identified needs of the UK armed forces community.
- Manage a team of up to 8 people, providing leadership, support, and direction as needed, including recruitment and onboarding of new employees, empowering them to achieve their potential and in a style that best suits them.
- Provide high-quality supervision and caseload management, to ensure good management of individual and overall caseloads, identify any opportunities to improve the service and manage any risks to service delivery.
- Work with the communications team to ensure an overarching outreach & engagement plan is developed to best represent and support our services, to ensure partners and veterans can easily refer to our service and are clear on what we offer.
- Lead on engagement & outreach for each area of responsibility, aligned with the overarching plan, to raise awareness of our services, to ensure we reach all veterans and their families who need our support.
About you:

Key skills required for this role:
- Experience in service development and evaluation in a similar or related industry.

- Experience in developing and delivering engagement and outreach plans to ensure services are widely known and attract appropriate client referrals.
- Experience in delivering high-quality supervision, an understanding of the different approaches and how to best apply these to individuals.
- Experience in monitoring performance to agreed targets, and how to best achieve this in an environment that supports empowerment and creative thinking.
- Experience in people management and working as part of a collaborative leadership team at both operational and strategic levels.

Our Finance team is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join our Accounts Payable (AP) team for a six month fixed term contract and support the work and transactions that British Heart Foundation (BHF) perform for us to fund lifesaving science.
As an Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you'll support the team and take responsibility for delivering a high-quality service in terms of timely, accurate and efficient entry of BHF expenditure onto our central accounting system. Working on data capture, you will have knowledge of IPOS queue management.
You'll ensure you achieve key performance indicators and individual targets agreed upon and set by the AP Team leader, ensuring that all transactions are coded and authorised to meet month end deadlines and meet agreed service levels.
The AP team provides a high level of customer service, ensuring colleagues and suppliers are kept updated in the process and that the payment process is as smooth as possible, so you’ll effectively manage your workload and escalate complex issues to the team lead.
Understanding the needs of customers, you’ll raise the profile of finance through provision across the AP team of best-in-class service both internally and externally.
Working arrangements
Please note, this is a part-time role working 4 days (28 hours). This is for a 6-month FTC.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you
You’ll have previous experience within accounts payable or be someone wanting to get into Finance with strong organisational skills, able to pick up tasks quickly and with ease.
With excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, you’ll be able to build strong working relationships within Finance and across the BHF and be comfortable communicating finance information to non-finance colleagues. The role involves dealing with internal & external customers via email and over the phone, so you’ll be confident communicating in both conversation and writing.
To excel in the role you will have:
- AP experience: A strong understanding and experience of BACs, invoicing, reconciliation, finance administration, and Account Payable processes. Familiarity with HMRC requirements for VAT and payments within the UK banking system, and a good knowledge of GDPR.
- Proficient in IT and financial systems: Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and financial application software packages.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills: Outstanding attention to detail with an analytical approach to data. Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach to identifying and resolving issues independently.
- Team player with a can-do attitude: A self-starter who is proactive and a good team player. Exhibits a can-do attitude and is able to manage workload with direction from the team lead.
- The role is working within a high-volume, fast-paced team, so you’ll have excellent time management and organisational skills.

About the role
Location: Coventry (community based) with some elements of home working.
It is an exciting time to join Alzheimer's Society and the Group Facilitator role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support they need whilst enjoying meaningful and often exciting activities, this is an exciting time for you to join us and make this role your own.
We aim to support everyone affected by dementia, giving an opportunity to those attending this service to access elements of information. The role requires delivery of weekly and monthly face-to-face groups for people affected by dementia, including Activity groups, Singing for the brain and a Dementia café. The successful candidate will be managing a supportive and experienced team of dedicated volunteers.
You will:
- Setup, promote, establish, organise and facilitate or deliver group(s) and ensure that all attending are supported to fully engage in the session.
- Recruit and guide volunteers so that the volunteers have clarity about their roles and undertake appropriate training.
- Take views and feedback of service users, taking into account the individual needs of members of the group.
- Assist the service users to feel welcome and to understand the aims and benefit of the group(s), and welcome all new attendees, providing information about the group.
- Proactively support an inclusive and welcoming working environment where all people we support feel able to be themselves.
- Complete recording on our computerised systems to reflect safety of service in line with the society’s legal obligations and good practice.
About you
We are looking for a compassionate, supportive person with a good understanding of dementia and how it impacts both the person with the diagnosis and the carer. Our role requires excellent communication skills to engage people in group activities, ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as the carer.
You will need:
- To understand the importance of volunteers in group services is essential, plus the ability to role manage volunteers to support them in their role.
- Good knowledge of dementia and an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers
- Experience of coordinating volunteers
- Excellent computer skills are required to facilitate virtual groups, and to complete accurate records on the computer system.
- The ability to travel independently to the locations the service covers.

Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.
We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.

THE ROLE
Purpose: To manage the effective implementation of programme delivery and development of Merseyside, Tyne and Wear, and Tees Valley Regions. This role will work with staff, schools and corporate partners to ensure that we deliver impact for the girls and young women we serve.
Manage The Girls’ Network mentoring (and other) programmes in your region:
Partnership development:
- Develop effective partnerships with new schools, recruiting them into The Girls’ Network’s programme to enable your team to meet regional targets. Maintaining relationships for successful renewals.
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues during the engagement process of new corporate partners, to ensure regional targets and needs are met e.g. income, mentor numbers, programme content.
- Oversee delivery of mentor opportunities for the region’s corporate partnerships, ensuring Memorandum of Understanding are met, referring any issues of concern to the Fundraising team for support and guidance.
- Provide relevant information to fundraising and Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning colleagues on any Tier 1 partners in the region, to enable production of evaluation reports
- Lead on delivery of the region’s awareness events, acting as the key contact person.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising & Communications team on key campaigns, e.g. International Womens’ Day, to reach key audiences and help build awareness and support income generation.
Mentor Community Development:
- Work with programme colleagues and the fundraising team to identify regional mentoring needs and coordinate the implementation of a mentor recruitment and engagement plan in your region, ensuring your region has an appropriate amount of mentors to run programmes.
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of the region’s events, acting as the key contact person.
Safeguarding support and leadership:
- Provide day-to-day safeguarding support for the Programme team in the North of the country – escalating issues to the Safeguarding lead where appropriate.
- Provide feedback on key safeguarding risks or issues, and needs for development or training to the Safeguarding Lead
Monitoring and evaluation:
- Oversee the collection of regional data and ensure that your staff keep Salesforce up to date with mentee, mentor, schools and partners relationships to effectively track the progress, and impact of mentoring relationships.
- Periodically evaluate and report on the progress and impact of The Girls’ Network initiatives in the region.
- Hold overall responsibility for regional targets, reporting to Senior Leadership Team.
- Manage and allocate the budget for the mentoring programme in the region, to cover workshops, celebration events, travel etc
Line Management of region’s Network Managers:
- Manage Network Managers in the region, through regular 1:1s and accountability of reporting.
- Support the wellbeing and professional development of your regional team.
- Cover or support with programme delivery when needed.
Grow our network in your region:
- Identify opportunities for growth in North region and work with Senior Leadership Team to develop regional strategy
- Advocate and promote The Girls’ Network at every opportunity to raise awareness of the charity and encourage community members to become mentors
Programme Leadership within The Girls’ Network Team:
Learning & Development
- Provide shadowing opportunities to Network Managers in other regions.
- As agreed with the Co-Executive Director - Programmes (Interim), travel to other regions to provide targeted training to other Network Managers.
- Coordinate Network Managers’ induction and recruitment.
- Contribute to The Girls’ Network culture of shared learning
Responsibility for an additional workstream:
- Each senior network manager is responsible for progressing aspects of programme workstream to timelines agreed with the accountable member of Senior Leadership Team. These may vary with need over time. Workstream to be agreed with Line Manager, but may include worksteams such as:
- Programme Process and Resource Development
- Safeguarding
- Sales Development etc

The Role
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help to maximise income through fundraising appeals, provide beneficiary support and increase supporter retention through digital channels
Key responsibilities will include:
· Plan and implement digital fundraising campaigns

This role provides advice and advocacy to LGBTQ+ people who contact Stonewall Housing because they are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The goal is to help people understand their rights and navigate their housing options in order that they have somewhere safe to live. People usually contact us because they are in crisis, the Case Worker’s job is to calmly assess their housing needs, provide them with immediate advice and sign posting and, where necessary, provide advocacy case work to ensure they get access to what they are entitled to.

Main Duties of the Post
Casework Sessions
· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our advice and advocacy service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.
· To assess each individual’s current housing situation and form a view with regards to risk associated with their case.
· To explore all options available to the service user allowing them to make informed decisions.
· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing the advice and advocacy to develop and review individual work plans and risk assessments.
· To have regular case work sessions to provide structured support, in relation to Housing specific issues.
· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.
Liaison with Landlords / Other Agencies
· To support service users to report repairs and work with landlords and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to contact local authority, voluntary and private sector landlords to report anti-social behaviour issues and advocate where necessary.
· To support service users to present to local authorities as homeless, where appropriate, and advocate where necessary.
Other Duties
· To establish and maintain accurate and complete records in all areas of work
· To complete statistics for the collation of performance and funding information

About the Role

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an Insight Executive with data experience to join the Strategic Insight team.
As the Insight Executive, you will be providing quality data to teams across the organisation for marketing and supporting purposes. You will be working with our software to extract data, build communication journeys, and run data processes. This role is key to the organisation, and in ensuring we are raising funds to support children and young people with cancer.
This role is an opportunity to work across a range of data led projects and challenges. Our team is continually adapting and improving; we are looking for a candidate who can shape this role over time, and who we can support to grow in this role.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the Job Description.
• To select and extract data from the database and fully clean the resulting data before sending on to be used for campaigns and other areas of work
• To maximise the benefits of our database by working with team colleagues to deliver data selections, data reports, and data exploration
• Be responsible for incoming data administrative requests and run regular administrative tasks to keep data clean and up to date on the CARE CRM system (our supporter database)
• Be proactive in learning to use new software – we use FastStats, and are currently bringing in PeopleStage, a product to manage supporter data, and the Insight Executive will be regularly using this software .
• On an ongoing basis, to identify areas for improvement including data quality, and increasing internal and external stakeholder satisfaction

We are looking for an experienced Senior Stakeholder Communications Officer to join our Communications and Engagement Team. You will seek out, capture and write compelling stories reflecting activities across our organisation and you will also work with our Education Directorate as a communications business partner.

This is a permanent role working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

We’re looking for a dynamic and a highly motivated individual to join a new role in our Compliance and Data Protection team.

The Role
Reporting to the Compliance Lead, the Data Protection Adviser will drive the development of an improved Compliance culture throughout the charity whilst ensuring that we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws. The role would suit a candidate looking to develop a career in compliance and data protection.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Acting as a knowledge expert on compliance and promoting a culture of compliance within the charity in relation to data protection, fundraising and the provision of support services, by the provision of advice, guidance, internal communications and training.
· Assist in the development of new training materials and communications relating to Data Protection and Compliance including overseeing the relevant intranet pages.
· Help to review existing processes and policies and assist in the updating/development of these, along with tracking changes in the external environment that may have an impact on these policies and procedures.
· Overseeing, managing and responding to queries from the departments different inboxes including those for Data Protection, individual data rights requests and data breaches.
· Project managing a number of key actions from an external review of the organisation’s Data Protection practices.
· Assist the Compliance Lead and Associate Director of Legal and Governance in producing ad hoc and annual compliance reports along with any annual submissions to regulators, 3rd parties or external bodies.

You have experience in, or be able to demonstrate:
· Knowledge of Data Protection and willingness to learn in other areas of compliance

The post holder reports to the Head of Department for Global Health and Infection, working under general direction within a clear framework the post holder will manage their own work to achieve their agreed objectives. The role holder will play a key role in supporting the Divisional leadership team to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the University, Professional Services & their Division.
