Spectra are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and proactive individual to promote, co-ordinate and deliver sexual health and well-being outreach and support for targeted groups in commissioned London boroughs, focusing on those at increased risk of poor sexual health.

You will develop targeted and general sexual health outreach and HIV-specific programming, providing knowledge and skills, and empowering individuals to access the support that they need.

You will establish and maintain relationships with local services and professionals supporting these groups.

You will be confident and knowledgeable of issues faced by diverse and often marginalised individuals. You will deliver HIV prevention and support programmes to targeted groups across London including offering STI screening, HIV point of care testing, condom distribution, support accessing PrEP, ChemSex support, support for retention in care, and onward referrals.

You will be able unequivocally to respect, support, promote and work within LGBTQ+ and other diverse communities.

The Role:

Our Project Coordinator for In-Person activities in Oxford is a key leadership role at the heart of our sociable and fun team. You will coordinate all aspects of our inspiring and unique in-person session programme with six sessions a week spanning gardening to sports, recruit and support our exceptional volunteers, and be the primary contact for them and our community. 

Each day as the KEEN Coordinator is very different. In one day, you might be a guest speaker in a local school or business, then running a Zig-Zag dinosaur themed crafts session for our under 10’s, before training new volunteers in adaptations they could use in our young adult’s drama session. On another day you might be in meetings with the local authority about enhancing inclusivity, finalising a KEEN fundraising application and then attending a volunteer social in the evening.

The Role

Reporting to the PR Manager, the role will help deliver key media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Working as a team to deliver a proactive, effective and 24/7 press office, building relationships with identified media and opinion formers, and ensure timely media responses based on organisational and reputational priorities.

About You

You will have experience of:

· Generating media coverage, ideally in the charity sector.

· Using media to deliver calls to action to the public (eg donating, fundraising, campaigning) and/or decision makers (eg policy change).

· Planning, executing and monitoring media plans against identified briefs and overarching objectives.

· Working alongside Policy and Public Affairs colleagues.

· Creating, posting, and managing social media content.

· Reputation management and working with crisis communications teams.

This new post will deliver the Society’s activities around our policy work; producing draft guidance notes and consultation responses for our committees to comment on, working with policymakers and stakeholders to raise awareness of our members’ collective evidence-base and best practice knowledge.

You will work closely with the Executive Director to understand the Society’s priorities and support the delivery of our strategy by developing relevant guidance and policy projects, whilst horizon scanning to seek opportunities for the Society to have influence externally.

Your activities will make a demonstrable difference in raising awareness of the Society’s work amongst external stakeholders, leading to opportunities for collaboration and income generation.

There will be a requirement to coordinate work on behalf of the Society and to attend occasional conferences and events, throughout the year.

About You

Educated to degree level or equivalent you will be an established Policy and Public Affairs professional, with good attention to detail, agile in approach with excellent communication and influencing skills. 

Passionate about the natural environment you will place the Society at the centre of debate, advocating best practice around soil science and land use management across government departments and cross sector actors. 

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of coordinating and delivering policy responses, working with internal and external stakeholders in the development of policy and projects, and raising awareness of an organisation’s profile with politicians, policymakers and opinion formers.

You must have the ability to assimilate complex policy topics quickly, a solid understanding of political and policy processes, and be an excellent communicator.

The Person

We are looking for a skilled trainer who has experience of working in the sexual violence sector or an aligned field and has knowledge and understanding of sexual violence and its impact’ to join us in this critical work in preventing ongoing sexual harm. The Role

This exciting new role will be part of a multidisciplinary team that brings together a range of knowledge and skills to support adult survivors of sexual violence with trauma related mental health needs.

Summary of Position:

This role will be required to develop and deliver sexual violence practitioner training and support the delivery of groups for survivors of sexual violence with trauma related mental health needs.

Primary Responsibilities

- To research, develop and deliver a programme of sexual violence practitioner training for delivery in single and multiagency settings through a range of blended learning formats.
- To support the development and delivery of a programme of psychosocial education groups for survivors of sexual violence.
- To support the team is completing assessments for clients accessing the service.
- Collaborate with a range of multiagency partners to ensure the most appropriate pathway of support for the individual survivor.
- Advocate on behalf of survivors of sexual violence to ensure they can have access to a range of services based on need.
- Ensure all risk and safeguarding processes and procedures are followed.
- To promote awareness of training and group offerings for survivors with a range of multiagency partners
- To undertake evaluation and outcome meetings and data reporting to ensure continuous development of training products delivered.
- To manage booking process and associated administration for training delivery
- Represent and promote WMRSASC in meetings and events

This role is based in Worcester. The role holder will be expected to travel across West Mercia as and when there is a need.
Hybrid and flexible working is available and encouraged as part of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours/negotiable
Salary: £29,439 - £32,020 per annum pro rata

We’re seeking an enterprising and accomplished Fundraising Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment in the charity’s history, with the opportunity to work on a stand-out campaign that will secure the legacy of Westonbirt Arboretum. 

Our fundraising approach is due for a shake up, after we’ve spent the last couple of years refocussing our efforts and consolidating our approach. We’re looking for a candidate that can continue to build on our successes, boosting the donations and opportunities we already have, but importantly can take the lead on launching a stand-out year of fundraising to celebrate our 40 years as a charity. It’s a role that needs creative vision and dedicated delivery to make 2025 everything that it has the potential to be.

We’re embarking on an intensive 3-year fundraising strategy that will enable Westonbirt Arboretum to achieve their 10-year vision. We work with a bid writing agency to secure all major grants, and we’re looking for a Fundraising Manager that can add equal attention to our individual giving strategy. The successful candidate will manage our existing fundraising real estate including our benches, leaves for life, and Wills & legacies campaigns, while adding a fresh view on opportunities for our birthday celebrations next year.  You will Chair our Joint Fundraising Committee with our partners at Forestry England; lead on the pipeline development; project manage activities across trust & grant fundraising, individual giving, major donors and appeals; and support the CEO with awarding grants and reporting the impact.   

The role reports to the CEO and is responsible for developing and implementing our fundraising strategy as well as managing relationships with key stakeholders. 

If you are a [tree]top Fundraising Manager with a successful track record of managing fundraising activity, the skills to deliver and monitor campaigns, and a proven ability to exceed agreed fundraising targets - then this is the job for you! 

Essential skills & experience 

• At least 3 years of experience in fundraising 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 
• Experience in managing stakeholder and funder relationships. 
• Strong understanding of a range of fundraising methods and tools and best practices, with the ability to create engaging and effective fundraising appeals. 
• Events project management and delivery 
• A thorough understanding of relevant legislation/charity law affecting fundraising practice. 

Desired skills 

• Experience of communicating charity impact to stakeholders at all levels. 
• Experience in managing expenditure budgets or allocating grants 
• Experience managing a fundraising team.
• Proficient in Raisers Edge CRM and Office 365 software suite.

About You 

Can you use your expert media relations and proven line management skills to help put nature into recovery with one of the UK’s best-loved environmental charities? 

The Trusts’ small, but brilliant national media team creates billions of opportunities to ‘see’ their work in print, radio, online and on screen each year: from their commentary on Government policy to stories about their work on the ground, our interviews, quotes, videos and press releases are used in national and international stories as varied as action on peat to whale sightings. They regularly appear on BBC Countryfile, Springwatch and BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, as well as in international media such as National Geographic, Times of India and Washington Post. In 2023 alone, the team achieved c.43,000 appearances in the national media and a reach of over 530 billion opportunities to see. This coverage ensured that thry remain at the heart of the national conversation on why they need nature. 

But they’re not standing still because the nature and climate crises demand greater and more urgent action. They’re therefore looking for a resourceful and strategic thinker who can exploit new opportunities for The Trusts to continue to raise their profile and use their communications to drive greater awareness of and engagement with the things that need to happen to turn things round. 

This is a senior role and they’re looking for an experienced media manager with an excellent track record in media relations for high profile organisations, who can confidently deal with high-profile reactive media as well as developing and delivering evidence-based creative, innovative media strategies. You will be leading a small media team, so line management experience is essential to ensure the consistent delivery of high-profile, high-impact media activity, supervising the team’s research, writing and editing. Working alongside the Head of Media you will build an environment where your team can continuously develop to be their best and have space to innovate and find new channels to reach broader audiences with our messages. In particular, they are keen to do more to highlight the role of people power (community organising) in nature’s recovery. 

You will have significant previous experience of generating compelling news stories and features, and ideally you will have been involved in publicising policy and campaigns. There is never a dull moment and you will need to thrive working in an extremely fast-paced environment where organisational skills, prioritisation and attention to detail are a must.
