Emmaus Oxford is in the process of setting up a digital learning centre to deliver accredited digital literacy qualifications to our companions [what we call those ex-homeless men and women that form our community]. People experiencing socio-economic exclusion are further marginalised if they lack basic digital skills. A lack of digital proficiency can prevent companions at Emmaus from successfully engaging in essential life tasks, such as applying for jobs and housing, completing online forms (e.g. universal credit forms), paying bills, managing bank accounts, as well as day-to-day activities like booking / attending remote GP appointments.

We are conducting a 20-week pilot to deliver the Essential Digital Skills (EDS) Level 1 Qualification. The qualification will be offered onsite in our learning hub. Your role, as digital coach, will be to deliver the course to companions in a manner that supports their individual learning and well-being needs. The role includes recording lessons learned and making recommendations on the roll-out of further digital skills qualifications and courses

The Digital Coach will be responsible to deliver the Essential Digital Skills (EDS) Level 1 Qualification Pilot Project. You will support companions to develop digital and life skills so that they realise their full potential to find employment and move on from Emmaus when they are ready.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated evaluation manager to lead and develop a programme of evaluations. The Primary Care Network (PCN) Cancer Care Coordination Service provides an improved experience for patients beyond their interactions with clinical services. Working within a network of GP surgeries, we support both patients and clinicians, contributing to the overall holistic approach to supporting those living with cancer. This integrates the ‘beyond medicine’ approaches offered by the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) into the cancer pathway. The service undertakes holistic needs assessments and provides practical and emotional support, acting as a single point of access for patients on the cancer pathway. Working closely with clinical staff and additional roles, this role ensures a more integrated approach across the Health and Social Care sector.

This post is an exciting opportunity to work with Nottingham City’s PCN 8 (Clifton and Meadows). Using the Macmillan Electronic Holistic Needs Assessment to support Cancer Care Reviews will ensure patients have access to the right support for all their non-clinical needs. The post will also work on the preventative agenda, supporting uptake of cancer screening across the PCNs and supporting the practices within the PCNs to deliver their improvement plan around early diagnosis of cancer (in line with NHS England and NHS Improvement - QOF Quality Improvement domain 20/21 – Early diagnosis of cancer). The post holder will be expected to work a significant proportion of their time within the PCN areas, both within the community and within GP surgeries.

Job Purpose and Objectives

• Work in partnership with the practice staff, inclusive of link workers to ensure referral pathways are clear and criteria for accessing the Gateway is understood.
• Monitor Cancer QOF lists, offering support, Cancer Care Reviews, and completing eHNAs for eligible patients as appropriate.
• Support individuals to create a Care and Support plan with the aim of supporting them to live better with a Cancer Diagnosis.
• Support with the delivery of care and support plans, referring to other organisations as appropriate.
• Work within different communities in the PCN area to increase awareness of the benefits of screening programmes.
• Actively encourage and support targeted communities and individuals to take up screening opportunities they are eligible for.
• Work closely with GP practices within the PCN to ensure that social prescribing referral codes are inputted to EMIS/SystmOne/Vision and that the person’s use of the NHS can be tracked, adhering to data protection legislation and data sharing agreements with the clinical commissioning group (CCG).
• Have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and escalate safeguarding concerns.

Salary:  up to £55,000 (dependent on experience), plus generous pension scheme, flexible working culture

The Events and Fundraising Executive will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of the Lady Garden Foundation’s varied annual calendar of fundraising events which include charity lunches, brand collaborations and our bi-annual Gala Evening, This role is unique, from the breadth of responsibilities, to the ownership it allows for an individual to flourish and grow in their role.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the management and delivery of fundraising events including multiple major donor events, challenge events, brand collaborations and others as required.

• Stakeholder management (charity co-founders, trustees, guests, donors and sponsors) relating to the fundraising events

• Liaise with external events and related suppliers to ensure LGF team and co-founder needs are aligned

Tenebrae is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles, renowned for its core values of passion and precision. Since the choir began in 2001, we have aimed to move and inspire audiences all over the world through dramatic programming and immersive experiences. 

The choir performs around 60 concerts each year across the UK, Europe, the US and further afield, including at some of the world’s most prestigious concert venues and festivals. Alongside its busy concert and recording schedule, the ensemble delivers a rapidly growing Learning & Connection programme, working with hundreds of children, young people and amateur singers across schools and other community settings. In the past 5 years Tenebrae’s programme of activities has grown considerably, but in order to maintain this we now need to grow all areas of our fundraising. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to make a transformational difference to Tenebrae’s artistic scope and financial sustainability as we approach our 25th anniversary in the 2026-27 season.

The Development Manager will be responsible for:

• Working with the CEO to refresh and implement our 3-year fundraising strategy;
• Fundraising from Trusts, Foundations, individuals and corporates to support the charity’s core costs as well as artistic and educational initiatives;

Location 

After an initial period of office-based training, we are happy to consider flexible and remote working in order to facilitate other commitments such as caring responsibilities, although ideally you will be based in our office in Hammersmith for at least 2 days per week.

Hours

We are advertising this as a full-time position at 35 hours per week plus a one-hour lunch break each day. However, for the right candidate we would be happy to discuss the possibility of working part-time (4 days per week) or compressed hours. ALDER HEY CHILDRENS CHARITY

Job title: Philanthropy Assistant

Salary: £25,307 - £29,634

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working will be considered)

Location: Mix of home working and office based (office is at Alder Hey, Liverpool)

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2024. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 450,000 patients and families we care for every year.

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward.

We have recently closed our Surgical Neonatal Appeal, having successfully raised our £3m target towards a brand new, state of the art Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital. This year we will be fundraising towards a new Same Day Emergency Care Centre, providing an unrivalled experience for our patients and their families.

About this role:

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Assistant to join the Charity team here at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital. The postholder will work closely with the Philanthropy Support Lead to provide operational support and administration for the team, including events, donor meetings and visits, prospect research, data and use of the charity CRM (Salesforce).

We’re looking for a flexible team player with previous administration experience. You’ll also be self-motivated, proactive and great at building relationships. If you’re excited by the sound of this, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities will include:

· Provide support for the Charity with a programme of philanthropy events; from individual visits and tours of the hospital for donors, private dinners, through to larger events such as Gala Balls.

· Build strong relationships with colleagues and clinicians in the Trust to support, coordinate and plan events.

· Liaise with venues and third-party suppliers to ensure that events are delivered to the highest standards.

· Help to prepare event briefings for Charity and Trust colleagues, so that all participants understand their role and contribute effectively.

· Provide administration support for the philanthropy team ensuring all work is of a high standard, professional and accurate.

· Writing and sending out personalised thank you letters and cards.

· Diary management, minute taking and meeting organisation.

· Keeping the charity’s supporter database accurate and up to date.

· Support with preparing data for philanthropy mailings and event lists, including recording details on Salesforce.

· Undertake prospect research, ensuring all processes are compliant with our privacy policy, data protection legislation and prospect research best practice.

· Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.

· Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.

· Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2024. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. Our senior team has an exceptional skill set, and we recognise that candidates with all the skills we need simply may not exist. But don’t worry, if you have some of the skills we want but lack others – we will train you to fill those gaps. Our staff have the choice to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, SW London, during regular operational hours (08.30-17.30). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings/training sessions with clients. 

Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with senior team members to gain new skills and exchange ideas.  

This job will require regular travel to deliver training courses (mostly in the UK, estimated 2 to 8 days per month) and may also involve international travel, including to developing countries. So, applicants must be willing to travel (in line with UK government guidance).

Salary and annual leave 

Salary will depend on qualifications and experience but is expected to be between £35,000 and £38,000 p/a (depending on experience). Annual leave is 25 days per year plus public holidays (33 days).

The Director of Finance and Operations is at the heart of Severn Wye’s programmes to tackle climate change and fuel poverty. By ensuring the effective management of the charity’s finances and core services you will guarantee all our programmes grow and have real impact. 

The Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for the good financial management and smooth operations of Severn Wye. In turn ensuring Severn Wye projects and programmes are as effective and efficient as they can be in tackling Climate Change and Fuel poverty through the energy system. Responsibilities include finance management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting to the board of trustees, producing annual accounts, liaison with auditors and acting in the role of Company Secretary. The role manages a staff team responsible for HR, Health and Safety, GDPR, office management and legal compliance.

The role reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the executive team, sharing collective responsibility to deliver Severn Wye’s work and plan for its future.

The successful candidate will have substantial management and financial experience, with relevant accountancy qualifications, preferably with a proven track record in the charity sector.

• Organisational development and management:

As Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for the Huntington’s Disease Association, you will help deliver our strategic plans and objectives by generating and growing income through community fundraising activities. You will support our existing supporters and community fundraising portfolio as well as proactively expanding our reach with community-based groups, organisations, and volunteers, to ensure maximum financial return for the charity. Through the development of community fundraising products, you will engage with our supporters in new and exciting ways.

This is an essential role in a small, national organisation supporting people affected by Huntington's disease. This is an income-generating role, but it is also about connecting with our supporters and creating long-term relationships for the future. 

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship for supporters and fundraising groups to secure and maximise income; you will advise supporters on fundraising legal requirements, fundraising policies and regulations, ensuring that all community fundraising activities meet the high standards of the Huntington’s Disease Association. In addition, you will also manage your own financial income and expenditure targets and budgets. 

You will be able to demonstrate experience of fundraising at a charity as well as experience of budget management. You will represent and promote the work, vision and purpose of the Huntington's Disease Association.
