The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community that supports young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses and have sought asylum in the UK as unaccompanied minors. Our two focus areas are rehabilitation and justice.

This is a unique oppertunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.

As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. You will be responsible for strategising and carrying out a successful program of fundraising from small, medium and large charitable trusts and foundations to an agreed annual fundraising target. You will also assist in delivering Baobab’s individual major donor programme, helping to set up and deliver communications and events related to this income stream. There is scope to explore further fundraising activites including events, corporate and community fundraising. You will play a central role and work closely with our operations team, as well as recieving expert monthly mentoring from a senoir fundraising consultant. 

This role is for 4 or 5 days per week depending on your preference, it will include Fridays which is when staff meetings are held.

Mental Health:  All of the young people Baobab supports suffer significant mental health and developmental difficulties and many function in an unstable and more immature way than their chronological age. Due to their experiences it takes time to gain trust from the young people in our community. As a core member of our team, you will understand the impact of specific human rights abuses on the development of children and young people in exile and their individual experiences of loss, trauma and grief on their mental health and well-being.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Communication and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic social mobility charity which exists to remove the barriers that prevent children and young people having meaningful access to the natural world.  Through a week on one of our three heritage farms, Nethercott House in Devon, Lower Treginnis in Pembrokeshire, and Wick Court in Gloucestershire, children and young people experience increased learning and engagement, improved connections and wellbeing, and leave us with an enhanced sense of environmental citizenship.  Visiting children are immersed in the natural world of countryside through a food and farming offer that allows them to participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens; caring for livestock and looking after the land; and cooking up a home-grown feast in the farmhouse kitchen. About the Role

This role will be responsible for developing the vision and direction of the Communication and Marketing Strategy but will fundamentally be an operational management delivery role. Responsible for developing and rolling out a multi‐channel communication and marketing strategy that will:

• raise the profile of the charity by communicating news about projects, programmes, and partnerships on social channels, on online and print media outlets, TV networks,
• deliver communications to generate sales to secure a pipeline of farm residential visit bookings from beneficiary groups (being children from schools in disadvantaged communities, youth groups, young carers, children in care, etc) across England and Wales.
• secure income from fundraising by communicating the charity’s mission, vision, and values to donors, funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.

The successful applicant will have considerable experience of developing and delivering a communication and marketing strategy as well as experience of designing and delivering multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns. Excellent people skills are key, as you will need to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Raising the profile of the Charity by devising and implementing a beneficiary‐focused communications strategy that supports both the sales and fundraising function, including print, social, and online communications that target teachers and other adults who are key decision makers for our beneficiaries.
• Developing and embedding an integrated communications and marketing strategy to deliver the ambitions of the Business plan, to reach new markets and successfully translate connections into bookings (‘sales’) or generate income from funders to support fundraising.
• Leading on the management and development of all channels of communication for the Charity: social media, website, YouTube channel, print media.

This position is home based but you will be required to travel to our farms and Head Office based in Exeter as required in order to fulfil the role.

Hours:

Objective:

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of the families, so they don't have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

However, we know that gaps in support for those suddenly bereaved still exist outside of Wales. And so we are expanding into England and are on the lookout for passionate and committed individuals who want to help push the charity to the next level.

Context of role:

2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We provide immediate, and longer-term support to families, individuals, professionals and witnesses. Since we were established in 2012, we have grown to deliver our service across the whole of Wales.

In January 2024, we expanded the geographical area and recruited a brand-new team to deliver the service in the border counties of England and Wales, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. This will be the first of several phases of expansion and the aim is to deliver our service throughout England and Wales in the coming years.

The post holder will lead an effective and cohesive management team across England and Wales overseeing the development and delivery of specialist services for individuals affected by sudden and unexpected death in children and young people aged 25 and under. They will ensure the team provide the highest standards of support, and that services are shaped by the needs of those who access them.

The key objectives of the post are:

• To lead upon delivery of support services across England and Wales, ensuring services are delivered consistently to a high quality and are embedded across a growing geographical area. To embed a growing team and develop relevant strategic priorities.
• To motivate, lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic services to families, friends, professionals, witnesses and individuals affected by sudden death.
• To establish pan-phase partnerships with key stakeholders to embed and develop referral pathways and raise awareness of the charity and its services.
• To work closely with the CEO, Director of Operations, Director of Transformation and Strategy and the wider Leadership Team promoting effective cross-team working that contributes to the overall objectives of 2wish and 2wish Cymru.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

1.0. Support services:

• To oversee outstanding service delivery across England and Wales that responds flexibly to emerging need in line with the business plan, key deliverables, budget and policies and procedures
• To leading on effective delivery and scaling up of services throughout the expansion phases
• To work closely with the Director of Transformation and Strategy to ensure a consistent approach to service delivery that aims to embed the service within existing child death procedures
• To oversee and monitor financial performance, ensuring effective deployment of resources and compliance against agreed targets/budgets
• To be responsible for Safeguarding and work with designated Safeguarding Officers to ensure services are safe for supported persons, staff, counsellors and therapists, volunteers, external partners and other key stakeholders
• To carry out regular risk assessments for services. Ensuring safeguarding concerns are followed up systematically, including making referrals to statutory services
• To oversee high-quality assurance of the service through monitoring of quality assurance systems, audits, management of complaints and learning from disruption
• To work with managers and Senior Leaders in the development and definition of new services, ensuring that operational procedures which support service delivery are fit for purpose
• To taking a hands-on approach to dealing with complex or difficult cases, particularly in new areas as we expand
• To oversee and further develop monitoring and evaluation processes to clearly demonstrate the impact the service has on individuals supported
• To contribute towards applications and reports for funders/ grants etc. in line with milestones /objectives and funding agreements
• To attend formal and informal meetings with the 2wish Senior Management Team and as required with the Trustee Board to review and report on progress

2.0. Leadership:

• To provide clear and visible leadership for a growing support team, with a specific focus upon leading and developing the support managers, taking overall responsibility and accountability for their management, performance, quality of their outputs, including recruitment/retention, induction, training and development, performance management and succession planning
• To lead and motivate staff in the performance of their duties in a way which encourages loyalty, dedication and high professional standards, in line with 2wish Cymru and 2wish ethos, values and determined by the Leadership team and Trustee Board in our strategic plan
• To further develop a positive approach to change and growth in line with expansion plans and the subsequent changes to staffing and areas of service delivery
• To establish and maintain effective working relationships on a local and national with referral partners and key stakeholders including police, health and professionals involved in child death procedures
• To oversee the development of training packages to encourage education and awareness around the experiences of those affected by sudden death
• To work closely with the CEO and Leadership team to support the work of 2wish nationally
• To ensure that the voices and needs of those affected by sudden death in children and young people are at the centre of decision making in Wales and England
• To work to the policies and procedures of the organisation, to promote these with staff and to ensure that they are maintained and developed appropriately. Keeping up to date with regulation, guidance, standards, government policy and research relating to sudden child death

3.0. General:

Head of Corporate Fundraising

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Corporate Fundraising to lead the Corporate Fundraising to raise over £1m annually, from existing and new corporate partners, through a clear team strategy, pipeline development, cultivating and managing high-value partnerships and supporting team members.

We are looking for a Head of Corporate Fundraising who will drive the organisation’s fundraising revenue by looking for opportunities to optimise and grow. You will use data, insight and subject matter expertise to inform strategy and deliver the corporate fundraising strategy.

You will focus on partnership growth and extensions, as well as winning new business and achieving the annual targets agreed for corporate fundraising. About the role

We’re hiring our first Corporate Fundraising Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a key moment in our growth and shape our approach to corporate fundraising for the future. We’re aiming to generate £100,000 of corporate partnership income in the next twelve months, while laying strong foundations for growth from there.

You’ll report directly to and work closely with our CEO in expanding our network of corporate partners to increase our income, the opportunities we can offer young people and the scale of our impact.

• Leading on identifying, researching, engaging and converting new corporate prospects and relationships. We work with a range of partners, including Wild Cosmetics, PA Consulting and Newsflare.
• Management of new business pipeline and prospect lists, including use and maintenance of corporate prospects data via Airtable.
• Proactive networking with early careers, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility leaders to develop new partnerships that grow GoodWork’s impact.
• Working with the CEO to develop our propositions, periodically refreshing our corporate offer with creative ideas, proposals and content to inspire decision makers.
• Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing corporate partners in order to generate sustainable income and opportunities for young people.
• Getting involved with the delivery of our programme, to build your understanding of our mission and how we work with young people. What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with a track record of securing significant income and managing corporate relationships. There is scope for this to become a permanent, full-time position and for the successful candidate to become a key member of GoodWork’s leadership team as the organisation grows.

• A strong track-record in corporate fundraising, with demonstrable evidence of five-figure new business income generation.
  • We will also consider candidates with proven business development experience in the private sector, with a well-articulated desire to move into the third sector and ability to rapidly build relevant knowledge and skills.

Ways of working

Our team works together in-person two days a week at Fivefields (Mon/Thurs) and we’d like our Corporate Fundraising Manager to join us for at least one of these days.

This contract is for 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week). We work flexibly, provided all our team can fulfil the requirements of their roles and collaborate effectively with colleagues. With this in mind, we’re open to requests to split these hours across three or four days of the week as best suits the successful candidate.

You’ll need to be able to attend occasional in-person events, including possible evening sessions for which time off in lieu will be given. You should also expect to attend regular in-person meetings with our London-based employer partners.

Support Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Stoke and North Staffordshire.  We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to join us in delivering a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Service across the region.

Position: S11199 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Stoke and North Staffordshire. Extensive travel will be required as part of this role (travel will also include team meetings or other work related meetings)

The Role

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their carers

· Providing personalised information, advice and support to address any needs identified

· Completing Needs Assessments with stroke survivors and supporting them to develop a stroke recovery plan

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world. HBF delivers a specialist Model of Integrated Care that addresses the complex needs and vulnerabilities of survivors.

The expertise of the Foundation is renowned in the field. The Role

The role involves managing the effective administration of the Medio-Legal Report Services including liaising with our medico-legal report writers, with instructing solicitors and with clients. It involves scheduling appointments, preparing the documentation to be provided to the writers and dispatching the final reports.

It will involve managing MLR doctors and recruitment and management of volunteers to support these functions, in order to ensure the smooth processing of referrals for medico-legal reports and robust production of these, from the point of acceptance to delivery and invoicing.

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sense's engagement team at this exciting time, as Head of National Events. You will be leading the National Events team to deliver against Sense’s ambitious strategy, inspiring and supporting the team. This Includes:

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

• Lead, motivate and inspire the Events team, a team of 4 at present
• To carry out the relevant people management for the team including recruitment, annual appraisals, motivating performance, management of sickness absence and, where necessary, applying HR policies and procedures

We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to join our Delivery Leadership Team as Programme Lead: Education. You will have a strong background in education, curriculum development, and stakeholder engagement, as well as a keen interest in promoting the wellbeing and resilience of young people. You will be confident in delivering training, managing a team, and driving projects to achieve positive outcomes. You will also have excellent communication, networking, and IT skills, and a commitment to Ygam’s vision and values.

Role Requirements 

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

• Support and lead the team to embed Ygam in the local communities where the charity is based, reaching out specifically to educational organisations (i.e. schools, colleges, Local Authorities, youth groups) who support the development of vulnerable young people. 

• Work with SLT, DLT and Training & Engagement Managers to maximise awareness by positioning Ygam at principal education conferences. 

• Develop relationships at a national level with key stakeholder groups (i.e. academy chains, college groups) to position Ygam and increase the number of practitioners attending our workshops.

• Attend conferences, seminars, educational and organisational events in support of or representing the Chief Executive. 

• Work with stakeholders to increase Ygam’s Alumni

• Foster an entrepreneurial spirit among the team to maximise the opportunities that arise from national campaigns around mental health, digital resilience, e-safety and financial capability. 

• Lead the team to deliver high quality training within the education space 

• Support the Resource Development Lead to develop new and innovative resources and materials for schools and youth settings 

• Support and lead the team to develop highly visible, effective and quality workshops 

• Support and manage the portfolio of delivery, ensuring all training is staffed adequately 

• Deliver training and information sessions to Ygam’s stakeholders 

• Support schools and youth groups to embed Ygam’s training within their organisation 

• Monitor KPI’s and feedback across programmes to ensure continuous review and development 

• Confidence in writing funding and impact reports 

• Follow-up workshops and training to acquire evidence of completed work, case studies etc. 

• Assume leadership of and drive your work to achieve agreed outcomes.

Person Specification  

• Significant experience of working within an education setting

• A detailed understanding of the PSHE and RSE curriculum as well as knowledge of curriculum in the devolved nations 

• Experience of promoting or selling services 

• Experience developing lessons and or training 

• Experience of engaging stakeholders within the education and youth sector 

• Confident public speaker 

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. 

• Outstanding networking skills. 

• Outstanding understanding of I.T applications (Microsoft word, excel, access & PowerPoint especially). 

• Experienced in stakeholder engagement and mapping 

• Project management experience 

• Experience of driving projects to achieve agreed outcomes. 

• Experience of leading the full range of employee HR processes. 

• Experience in managing and monitoring programme delivery and budgets 

• Ability to work in a highly organised manner with a keen eye for absolute detail. 

• Self-administrating experience. 

• Direct experience of working within education or mental health is desirable. 

• Experience utilising CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)

Carers’ Hub plays a vital role in Lambeth, supporting the many unpaid carers across the borough with 1 to 1 and peer support, signposting, training, workshops and social activities. Our work stems from the fact that carers often go about their roles despite the toll it might take on their own wellbeing, often having to make sacrifices that hamper their own ability to lead a normal life. About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Office Administrator to join our team. To manage the overall running of the Carers’ Hub office, including overseeing HR admin, implement policy and procedures, including Health and Safety, maintain administrative processes, manage stakeholders, serve the trustee board, and work closely with the Carers’ Hub team in the implementation of events and projects.

The Office Administrator role is a new position that will provide a wide variety of operational support to the Carers’ Hub Leadership Team as we develop our offer and increase the number of carers who access our services. This job description will be reviewed on a regular basis and may be subject to change, particularly as the needs of the charity change.

About you

As the Office Administrator you will be responsible for managing the overall running of the Carers’ Hub office and administrative processes.

The post holder will:

• Work collaboratively and have excellent communication skills. 

• Be organised, self-motivated and able to manage your time effectively

• Have the ability to solve problems effectively and make decisions in the face of competing priorities

• Be adaptable and flexible, able to embrace change and quickly adjust to the evolving charity’s needs

• Be able to work unsupervised and under pressure.

• Be technically proficient, experience of a CRM system is desirable
