Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).

Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.

Location: 2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post is predominantly home based, with regular travel across the area you reside in and some travel to our Head Office in South Wales.

Objective: 

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

Context of role:

2wish supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and more recently, in the bordering counties with England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income but also to raise awareness of the work of 2wish.

This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to raise awareness of the charity, building it’s profile and engaging communities across the English counties that border Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.

Main duties:

• To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do in England
• To work alongside the support team in England, Phase I and to build on the reputation of 2wish
• Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters using mechanisms for engaging their support to develop additional sources of income
• To liaise with the public in England, Phase I who are fundraising for 2wish
• To support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
• To attend community and networking events where necessary
• To actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning for England, Phase I as a business unit during regular fundraising meetings
• To submit an annual business plan and budgets for the England fundraising team
• To submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets
• Supporting the 2wish Fundraising Team with events and community fundraising
• Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify and secure volunteers and ambassadors, meeting them regularly and maintaining engagement
• Maintain relationships with all donors including attending cheque presentations
• To work flexibly, travel, and make overnight stays when required
• To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity when required
• A ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ attitude
• Contribute on the social media platforms maintained by 2wish

General

We are seeking a Sex Worker Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (SWISVA) to provide appropriate emotional and practical 1-to-1 support to people involved in sex work, who often experience stigma and face barriers to accessing services. Working within a specialist sexual violence approach, you will be enabling people to access support and navigate services, including those directly related to sexual violence. You will support them to navigate criminal justice processes if they wish to do so. You will be working in partnership with other agencies and making appropriate referrals for people to access other services to support their wider needs. You will play a key role in advocating for improved responses to sexual violence, including pathways through the criminal justice processes.  

The post is part of a unique partnership between National Ugly Mugs, Basis Yorkshire and POW (Nottingham) to ensure more specialist support for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence, to develop good practice guidelines, develop and share learning, and to influence change in provisions for sex workers. Each organisation will be employing a SWISVA; the program will be led by a Program Coordinator who will be based with Basis Yorkshire, and who will lead on influencing of policy and sharing of learning to improve outcomes for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence   

The main role responsibilities (further outlined in the job description) are:  

• Oversee a caseload of people who have experienced sexual violence

• Ensure that sex workers have access to specialist sexual violence services, including access to the SARC and support throughout the criminal justice process

• Ensure that safeguarding practice is embedded within working practices to effectively support those at risk 

• Work collaboratively with Police, ISVAs and other colleagues to ensure the needs of sex workers are met and their voices are heard within the criminal justice process 

• Advocate for sex workers wishing to access the specialist service, challenging discrimination, exclusion and stigma both for individuals and within the wider community  

• Ensure the service maintains its strict confidentiality and protects the data of those accessing the service 

• Work collaboratively with peers in the SWISVA Partnership Program and the Program Coordinator to enable the Programme to achieve its wider objectives of quality assurance, development of good practice guidelines, learning, evaluating and influencing  

• To work within POW to support the core services including drop-in and outreach, taking the lead and driving as allocated  

Experience of the sex work industry will be looked upon favourably.

We have been delivering a pilot of the Flexible Response service for the last year and are delighted the team has now been established as part of the Dementia Support and Partnerships Directorate.  

Led by the Flexible Response Team Manager, Flexible Response Dementia Advisers have a national remit, providing operational support to our local services teams within any geographical area of England, Wales or Northern Ireland. This role is home based, for which you will receive home worker allowance. 

This team will provide interim Dementia Adviser capacity that will support and enable local community teams to meet demand whilst experiencing local staffing shortages, mobilisation of new contracts or recruitment issues.  We stay in teams sometimes for very short periods of time, which means Dementia Adviser’s regularly move to new teams, and need to pick up new services quickly.  

Our experience over the pilot has shown the benefit of having interim cover on the wellbeing of teams, achieving contractual delivery targets and ensuring the timely delivery of good quality dementia support to those in the local area.

JOB PURPOSE

This role is for Programme Leader of the BA Hons Counselling Programme. To ensure that the distinctive character of Waverley Abbey College’s counselling pedagogical frameworks are maintained. 

KEY TASKS

The key tasks that are outlined below may vary depending on the needs, and requirements, of the college’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This means that not all of the tasks outline in this Job Description will necessarily be undertaken by the post holder.

The tasks are:

• To be responsible to lead the DipHE and BA Hons Counselling academic team in the successful delivery of its teaching, learning and assessment strategies.

To be responsible for:

• Collaboratively working alongside undergraduate tutors in the planning and implementation of the successful delivery of the DipHE/ BA Hons Counselling programme
• Collaboratively working alongside the DipHE/ BA Hons Counselling tutors in the planning, devising, writing and delivering of programme content

To be responsible for the structure and delivery of the DipHE/ BA Hons Counselling. Responsibilities include:

• Writing, reviewing, maintaining, developing, and teaching the content for the DipHE/ BA Hons Counselling Programme
• Keeping all training in line with academic and professional requirements as appropriate

• Initial selection of students, taking due account of standards and Postgraduate admission procedures

To support, encourage, develop and manage the Year Group Leadership team, assisting them to deliver courses to the highest standard. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing selection of Year Group contract tutors, in consultation with the head of the counselling Faculty
• Overseeing selection of other associates, in consultation with the head of the counselling Faculty (role players, supervisors, facilitators, etc.)
• Line manage and provide oversight of Year Group Leaders, including teambuilding and individual appraisal and feedback
• To conduct two appraisals of Year Group Leaders each year 

Supported by the head of the counselling faculty, to be responsible for the welfare, spiritual well-being and psychological safety of students, within the parameters of the course. Responsibilities include:

• Offering pastoral support, dealing with student complaints and grievances, and handling any cases of academic misconduct, in line with Waverley Abbey College policies and procedures

• To attend residential training teaching blocks and to provide oversight of the quality of the delivery of the programme
• To oversee and engage in some marking and lecturing responsibilities, including facilitating small groups: process groups, group supervision groups, observed practice groups etc.
• To continue personal professional development through professional conferences, further education and training etc.
• To maintain a personal counselling caseload (e.g., in private practice or at an agency) in accordance with the highest standards required by professional bodies, including having professional indemnity insurance, clinical supervision, and any other requirements in accordance with the context of the practice (e.g., DBS check)

Weston Hospicecare is seeking a passionate and self-motivated fundraiser to develop and grow our Legacy and In Memory fundraising activity.  This is an important area of income for the Hospice, and we are looking for someone who can either bring their existing expertise to this role or who is keen to develop their current fundraising experience within legacy fundraising.

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who will:

· Lead on the development of Weston Hospicecare’s Legacy and In Memory fundraising strategy, using your expertise to analyse activity and grow this area of income, building the financial resilience of the Hospice.

· Inspire support by developing a compelling Legacy fundraising proposition to encourage support from existing and new supporters.

· Deliver results through inspiring communications and promotional activity, bringing to life the extraordinary work of Weston Hospicecare and driving legacy pledges and support.

· Build strong relationships with a range of people, including local firms of solicitors, supporters, patients and their families and members of the team.

· Utilise your exceptional attention to detail and expert knowledge to monitor and administer existing estates, working with solicitors and executors to expedite settlement and where possible, accurately predict timelines for income.

· Provide excellent stewardship to existing supporters and pledgers through regular updates and inspiring events to demonstrate the impact of support and develop and nurture these important relationships.

· Devise an effective In Memory strategy to build upon and support this area, monitoring existing opportunities and developing new activity. Sensitively use personal stories, images and testimonials to strengthen this key area of income and offering a lasting tribute for families.

· Amplify the work of the team through sharing ideas and knowledge. Keeping up to date with sector developments and ensure best practice across all Legacy and In Memory fundraising activity.

· Work with an ambitious, positive and creative approach, with experience in working collaboratively organisation wide.

About the Role

The Head of US Death Penalty Projects is responsible for overseeing Reprieve’s work against the death penalty in the United States of America.

 Background to Reprieve’s work against the death penalty in the US

 Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as a more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.

The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.

About You

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies in which each of Reprieve’s methodologies—investigation, litigation, casework political and public engagement, support for and (where possible and appropriate) advocacy with affected communities—connect with one another to achieve positive outcomes in the death penalty landscape and address structural rights violations.

Location, contract and salary

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance. Reprieve works across a number of jurisdictions; as such this is a role that may require work outside of core hours from time to time. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Reprieve’s small, collaborative and dynamic fundraising team to help manage and grow our grants income, with a focus on trusts and foundations, and statutory donors.

Reprieve is fortunate to have the support of many long-standing funders who believe fervently in our mission, and in Reprieve’s ability to drive change. Working with the Head of Development, you will take ownership of relationships, build strong partnerships with donors, and harness opportunities to add value, and deepen our collaborations. You will be responsible for securing new grants, facilitating grant management in line with donor requirements, and leading on the preparation of accurate and compelling reports and communications.

You don’t need to have any knowledge of or experience of autism, but you do need to be organised, efficient, enjoy completing lots of different types of work every day and feel confident working with a high volume of different people every week. We think this role would suit someone who has worked as a social worker, a teacher or a social prescriber. It is an incredibly rewarding and interesting role, working in a kind and happy team.

Although the role states home working as an option, this would be in the form of blended working. There is an expectation that the postholder will spend around 1/3 of their hours in the offices in Eastcote, 1/3 of their hours in location in the borough being supported, and 1/3 of their hours from home. Job Summary

CAAS provide the Autism Support and Advice Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Specialist Autism Advisors.

In general, the role will provide information, advice, and support to autistic adults in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing autism-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, and some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support.

There is no requirement for any experience of, or understanding of autism / autistic adults, as we will provide training on the condition. This role will best suit someone who is very organised, who is able to task switch easily between mentoring work, group facilitation, public facing board meetings and administrative duties and who is able to work with a high number of clients each week in order to provide a sufficient number of appointments to meet our funder requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with vulnerable individuals and demonstrate confidence, composure during crises, quick thinking, and adaptability. A genuine acceptance of diversity and a keenness to learn are essential.

A significant part of the role will involve consultation and co-production with autistic adults to ensure that the service meets the needs and aspirations of our local autistic population.
