Lead on Individual Giving projects: Plan, deliver and manage effective initiatives such as our flagship Light Up A Life donation campaign, our Regular Giving programme and seasonal donation asks, maximising donations and donor retention.

Forge meaningful supporter relationships: Working closely with our Marketing Team, you will create compelling communications and materials to show local people the impact they can make by supporting Dougie Mac.

Maximise Gift Aid opportunities: Lead our efforts on maximising and promoting our Gift Aid scheme.  Dougie Mac currently claims over £170k of Gift Aid every year!

Provide an excellent donor experience: Help to serve supporters who visit or contact our Fundraising Hub to make fundraising enquiries or to pay in their donations. Showing compassion, gratitude and keeping them well informed.

Qualities we value:

Excellence: Striving for excellence in everything you do, with a strong attention to detail.

Great communicator: Whether it’s face-to-face or producing compelling written communications, you’re confident, compassionate and creative.

Networking: Connecting with supporters and internal colleagues, you know how to build quality, meaningful relationships to benefit the hospice.

Strategic Thinker: You see the big picture and know how to align fundraising with our hospice mission.

Results Driven: Capable of seeing a project through from start to finish with the end goal of success and year on year growth always in mind.

In return, what you’ll get:

Meaningful impact: Your work directly impacts children, young adults, adults and the families we support.

Supportive Team: You will be part of a bigger Income Generation Team with this job being responsible for around £300k income and growing. Our Community Fundraising Team work closely together with a focus on delivering an exceptional supporter journey. We are a team of 4 staff and regular volunteers. Joining this team would take our headcount to 5.
