We are seeking an Interim Head of Diversity and Inclusion (maternity cover), Fixed term, starting start of September 2024, up to August 2025. Between full-time and 0.6 FTE part-time available as options.
We are open to applications proposing to hold as a job-share and other flexible working arrangements, so long as we are confident those can deliver the necessary leadership and management responsibilities for the Diversity and Inclusion team and activities.
The role
We are recruiting for an Interim Head of Diversity and Inclusion for a period of up to one year to provide maternity cover. This is an exciting and high-profile role, working externally across the engineering profession and internally across the organisation. As Interim Head of the Diversity and Inclusion, you will lead a team of skilled and dedicated diversity professionals and steer the course of our portfolio of programmes and activities.
You will report to the Executive Director, Programmes, providing oversight and leadership across the whole portfolio of activity. This includes:
- Our Industry activity supporting the promotion and embedding of inclusive cultures in engineering businesses. These include inclusive engineering leadership programmes, D&I toolkits and resources, inclusive recruitment programmes and more.
- Education support, including our Higher Education Diversity Impact Programme supporting higher education institutions to support D&I approaches and develop a community of practice to facilitate learning and sharing of ideas across the wider engineering higher education sector.
- Our diversity and inclusion research programme which provides insightful and rigorous research to identify barriers to achieving our goals and informs actions and recommendations on diversity and inclusion.
- Our work with professional engineering bodies to embed diversity and inclusion.
- Our work to embed diversity and inclusion through all Academy external programmes and activities, and working in partnership with internal teams, including supporting our HR team with expert advice, to build and maintain inclusive cultures and embed D&I good practice into Academy operations.

An experienced diversity and inclusion professional with an innovative mindset, strategic thinking skills and well-honed judgement, to help input into delivery of key Academy diversity and inclusion programmes.
As well as having experience working with both internal and external stakeholders and contractors, you will need experience of managing complex, multistakeholder projects and be able to design and implement innovative, impactful diversity and inclusion initiatives. Experience of line management with the ability to provide support and empathy to your direct report(s) while empowering them to maximise their potential is also essential for this role.

Location
Our primary light, spacious offices are based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office-based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

About the role
Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Business Development team as our Partnerships Executive. This is a full time, 12 month fixed term, position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

The Head of Support Services will work with the Director of Support Services to create a positive, supportive culture of personal growth, underpinned by a holistic and empowering health and wellbeing approach.
Supported by the trustees, the CEO, staff and service users, the postholder will be a leader and will provide a constant stimulus for self-improvement in a learning, supportive and diverse environment. A candidate with a proven track record of delivery, they will provide high level and efficient management of Betknowmore UK support and community programmes, including all three primary services, GOALS, New Beginnings and Peer Aid, as well as bespoke projects which include the development of Hubs within key London Boroughs and creating digital activities.
The postholder will work to ensure impactful service provision and outcomes; recruit, train and supervise a team of staff/mentors/volunteers to deliver support and community activities; and oversee service integration and collaboration with the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) partners and other key stakeholders.
A key aspect of the role will be to work closely with people presenting with gambling-harm issues and/or people impacted by someone else's gambling. The Head of Support Services will oversee sustainable recovery interventions which may include structured psycho-social 1:1 and group activities, counselling and therapy, peer and mentoring support, with services co-produced by clinicians and health professionals, and insight and knowledge from experts by experience.
The candidate should demonstrate previous experience of management and oversight of similar programmes of work, within mental health, addiction or community NHS or voluntary sectors.
Experience of gambling support and treatment and/or harm minimisation programmes is desirable, but not essential.
Working with other members of the Senior Management Team, they will input into the management of the charity, as well as supporting grant, contract and tender submissions, operational management, governance, performance and contract monitoring and outcome reporting. This will include financial planning and budgeting.

Development and Delivery
- Manage the strategic and operational performance of services to agreed standards and targets with the Director of Support Services and CEO.

The Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for the good financial management and smooth operations of Severn Wye. Responsibilities include finance management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting to the board of trustees, producing annual accounts, liaison with auditors and acting in the role of Company Secretary. The role reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the executive team, sharing collective responsibility to deliver Severn Wye’s work and plan for its future.
The successful candidate will have substantial management and financial experience, with relevant accountancy qualifications, preferably with a proven track record in the charity sector.

This role will include
- Organisational development and management:
- In partnership with the CEO, the executive team and Trustees, ensuring the development and implementation of the charity’s strategic plan.

We are looking for someone with

We're looking for a highly motivated ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to work across Derbyshire. The role will support people aged 18 and over who have experienced sexual abuse or rape at any point. The successful candidate with join our friendly, professional and passionate team, working across Derbyshire remotely and in person.

What the job involves
The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.
You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.
The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.

The role
A hugely exciting opportunity has become available to join the Football Foundation as our Community Engagement Lead. Job Summary
CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers. Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.
As Director of Services, you will work closely with the CEO, leading on the management of the Adult Services, Youth Services and Family Services workstreams within the charity, ensuring the high quality service provision for which we are known. The role sits within the senior leadership team at CAAS, alongside the Finance Director, and manages the Youth Services Manager, the Family Services Manager and the Adult Services Manager, who in turn manage around 20 staff between them.
The Director of Services provides a crucial role in ensuring the infrastructure and operational workings of the charity are effective for the more than 30 staff we employ, and the more than 11,000 instances of support we provide each year. Therefore, we are looking for a capable, calm, self-motivated, organised and hard-working Services professional who has worked in a management role directly responsible for service delivery in another charity.
The role requires strong organisation skills, excellent communication and relationship building skills, significant experience of operational service delivery, team leadership experience, the ability to articulate and drive our impact, and a good understanding of fundraising and monitoring requirements in a medium sized charity. Job title: Patient Support & Advocacy Officer
Reporting to: Regional Project Manager
Location: Based at home, situated across the Salford and Greater Manchester region with regular travel to assigned renal units.
Hours: Full time hours, 35 hour per week. Must be sufficiently flexible to work irregular hours as demanded by the requirements of the post.
Contract: fixed term post until the end of May 2026

An opportunity to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. You will engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients.
This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place.
The role will cover the main renal units and satellite dialysis units across your designated area in Salford and Greater Mancherster. Frequent travel and attendance is expected at some sites.
Responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing
• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location
• To support patients to build the skills and confidence needed to positively navigate the challenges presented by health, social care, benefits, and financial support pathways, and to overcome barriers and promote independence
• To support patients to connect with services to ensure that they are engaged in shared decision making and that their voice is central to shaping the care and support they receive
• To raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefits of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service amongst kidney patients, their families, carers, and professionals across the region
• To be a primary source of, or gateway to, local information and access to:
◌ Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice services, supporting income maximisation
◌ Kidney Care UK Patient Grants programme, raising awareness of the programme and supporting applications
◌ Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients emotional and psychological needs
◌ Reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
◌ Benefits and finances, including employment, housing, and grants from charities including Kidney Care UK benefits and welfare service
To provide insight on patients’ concerns and unmet needs to inform Kidney Care UK research, campaigns, and new service development activity
• To maintain patient records to allow effective reporting on key performance indicators about patient activity and service outputs
• Identify and create relationships with key services and professionals across the region, to ensure patients, their families, and carers can easily access the Patient Support & Advocacy Service
• To work in a way that respects the personal, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of the individual and maintains the confidentiality of information they may have shared with you
