We are looking a motivated and organised individual to play a key role in our work to help keep children safer online. This role will be central to the NSPCC's new strategy of amplifying the voices and experiences of children and young people to help keep them safe online. The role will support the delivery of our new child safety online youth taskforce, as well as supporting other projects across our programme of work. These include work to better utilise Childline insights, deliver participation opportunities through Childline and schools and amplify the voices of children through key events and comms.

Our research found that there are on average 3,500 online child sexual abuse crimes taking place every month, and we've seen an 80% rise in grooming offences since 2017. With the recent passing of the Online Safety Act this is a crucial moment in turning the tide on online harm and abuse. We believe for this to be successful young people must have a voice on what safety online looks like to them.

Young people have been clear: 'Though we may be young, we have a strong opinion on how to keep children safe online'. They have told us that being online is a 'key part of their lives' but they can follow every rule adults set about online safety and still experience harm. Currently, there's a lack of consideration for young people's thoughts and experiences, and how these can be used to drive real change in the online world. We want to change that.

Carers UK is looking for an Account Executive to support the Income Generation and Communication team in delivering activities to maintain and grow significant income from Carers UK’s products and services, namely the Employers for Carers forum.  

This is a pivotal time for working carers as the Carer’s Leave Act becomes law, making it a statutory requirement for all employers to support unpaid carers by providing five days unpaid carers leave. We believe we have the platform to bring about change, as well as provide carers with the support they need.

You will be highly confident approaching and building rapport with prospective and existing clients with a commitment to a sustained high level of outbound communication. Collaborative in approach and with excellent communication skills you will have the ability to prioritise and manage a combination of different tasks and work effectively and efficiently to tight deadlines.

About the role

Carers UK’s Income Generation and Communication team is responsible for the organisation’s income stream. You will be a self-starter, with new business and sales experience, who will assist the team to develop, deliver and grow its earned income activities. You will carry out prospects research to support new business development, while building relationships through active client engagement. You will receive relevant training, guidance and coaching.

This role

We are recruiting for a new role providing EA support to the CEO and administrative support across the organisation. 

Justice and Care is at an exciting moment with the imminent launch of a new ten-year strategy and this role will be a key part of our team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our vision. 

This role will report to the Head of HR but will provide EA support to the CEO and ad hoc support to other members of the Senior Leadership Team. The role will provide administrative support across the organisation so will get to work alongside all teams. 

Your main responsibilities will include;

• High volume diary management for the CEO and providing ad hoc diary support for other members of the Senior Leadership Team. 

• Management of Board meetings including coordinating dates, venues and preparing and circulating Board reports. 

• Office Management including liaising with suppliers / brokers, relationship management with office landlord and overseeing office supplies and equipment

• Internal event organisation (e.g. staff away day, Christmas party, Leadership meetings), including budget management, venue booking, overseeing delivery on site.

• Management of travel arrangements for the CEO and ad hoc management for other members of the Senior Leadership team.

• Hosting visitors to the UK office including management of travel arrangements and itineraries. 

• General team administration including managing video conferencing, team calendar events, upkeep of Intranet and shared team documents.

• Managing the relationship with the IT contractor, procuring IT equipment and dealing with any breakages

The role 

Are you an enthusiastic people-person with a warm and friendly disposition?  We are looking for a collaborative, self-starter to join our hard-working support and outreach team.  Based in Scotland you will be responsible for maintaining our relationships with the main aplastic anaemia specialist treatment centres in Scotland as well as supporting our Scottish community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (AAT). Our team is small, but mighty. Our current Support & Outreach (S&O) team is managed by our S&O Programme Manager and comprises two part-time S&O coordinators who have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately, with a six-month probation period. You will work 14 hours a week during core working hours, your working hours can be arranged flexibly to suit you although we will require you to attend staff meetings which take place on Thursday mornings.

The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only UK charity providing information, advice and support to people affected by rare disease Aplastic Anaemia. Our vision is that everyone affected by Aplastic Anaemia in the UK should feel empowered and have access to the best possible treatment, care and support so they can lead full and healthy lives. We support our community through one of life’s toughest challenges – diagnosis with a rare bone marrow failure. We currently support around 2,400 people and have around 30 volunteers.

Our Finance team is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join our Accounts Payable (AP) team for a six month fixed term contract and support the work and transactions that British Heart Foundation (BHF) perform for us to fund lifesaving science.
 
As an Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you'll support the team and take responsibility for delivering a high-quality service in terms of timely, accurate and efficient entry of BHF expenditure onto our central accounting system. Working on data capture, you will have knowledge of IPOS queue management.

You'll ensure you achieve key performance indicators and individual targets agreed upon and set by the AP Team leader, ensuring that all transactions are coded and authorised to meet month end deadlines and meet agreed service levels.

The AP team provides a high level of customer service, ensuring colleagues and suppliers are kept updated in the process and that the payment process is as smooth as possible, so you’ll effectively manage your workload and escalate complex issues to the team lead.

Understanding the needs of customers, you’ll raise the profile of finance through provision across the AP team of best-in-class service both internally and externally.

About you 
 

You’ll have previous experience within accounts payable or be someone wanting to get into Finance with strong organisational skills, able to pick up tasks quickly and with ease.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

• Provide high-quality, pragmatic legal advice, with supervision as appropriate, spanning the different operational activities of the University, delivered at pace.

• With supervision, as required, assist with contract disputes, with specialist support from external lawyers where appropriate.

• Assist on technology transfer and IP-related matters (as escalated by the University’s Research Office or Imperial’s commercialisation subsidiary, Imperial College Innovations Limited).

• Support certain real estate and estates-related matters such as acquisition and disposals of real estate (supporting Imperial’s in-house real estate counsel from time to time).

• Advise upon, with supervision as required, matters such as the restructuring of Imperial group subsidiaries, share issuances and capital reductions.

Essential requirements

• A minimum of degree level education or equivalent experience.

• Qualified as a solicitor or barrister.

• Current Practising Certificate to practise law in England & Wales.

• PQE advising on a broad range of subject areas.

• Experience of working effectively within a team.

• Proven experience of reviewing and drafting a wide range of contracts with varying complexities at pace and of delivering high quality, practical legal advice at pace on a broad range of topics in relation to them.

Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX) is an organisation working towards an end to labour exploitation by addressing the systems and structures that make workers vulnerable to abuse. FLEX seeks to achieve this vision through the prevention of labour abuses, protection of the rights of those affected or at risk of exploitation and by promoting best practice responses to labour exploitation through research and evidence-based advocacy.

About the role:

FLEX is looking for someone with a passion for improving working conditions in service sectors, such as cleaning. In this role, you will support the development of more sustainable corporate responses through the development of a worker-informed human rights due diligence programme for businesses that contract cleaning services. Drawing on a 2-year pilot where we developed a worker-informed human rights due diligence framework, this work involves a strong worker-engagement element.

Above all this role requires someone with real passion and commitment for FLEX’s work to end labour exploitation and an excitement for ensuring workers are at the centre and actively involved in shaping solutions that work for them. You will be working in a dynamic team developing this programme, so this role will require flexibility and ability to adapt.

Key responsibilities:

Project Delivery :

• Planning, delivering and evaluating worker engagement activities, in line with FLEX’s strategy, safeguarding protocols and approach, ensuring the workers views inform all project outputs, including reports.
• Supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of robust safeguarding protocols for worker engagement.
• Drafting relevant project outputs, including resources for workers, company reports and other outputs for external communication.
• Collecting data and documentation and supporting assessments and critical reviews of business policies, practices, engaging with participating companies (desk-based, interviews and surveys), as relevant.
• Developing actionable recommendations to support companies to improve their policies and practices.
• Organising regular partnership meetings, preparing and sending out meeting packs, scheduling meetings, facilitating members’ effective participation, and taking minutes.
• Maintaining FLEX’s worker-informed tools, including human rights assessment toolkit in line with international standards and UK law that incorporates issues identified by workers at risk of exploitation.
• Keeping abreast of worker-driven corporate responsibility initiatives focusing on cleaning to inform the pilot design.
• Developing a roadmap with clear referral pathways for businesses identifying labour abuses and potential victims of labour exploitation.
• Delivering activities within budget and liaising with consultants and/or independent contractors;
• Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans, producing progress and learning reports for internal and external purposes.
• Extracting learnings from experience to inform FLEX’s methodologies for meaningful worker engagement.

Policy and advocacy

• Represent FLEX and networks at external meetings, as required.
• Keeping abreast of the wider relevant policy and legislative context and identifying relevant advocacy intervention opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds from companies, trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies.

Key responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Remembrance Events for an 18-month fixed term contract to lead our esteemed Remembrance Events team. Reporting directly to the Director of Remembrance, you will be responsible for leading  a team  of event professionals  to deliver the nation’s most longstanding Remembrance events.  As well as ensuring that the Festival of Remembrance and Veteran March Past the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday continue to evolve in line with our Remembrance for All approach you’ll lead the delivery of high profile one-off commemorative events.

You will be part of the Remembrance Senior Leadership Team (SLT), setting the standards for our remembrance activities and ensuring effective collaboration with colleagues, membership and other stakeholders. 

You will be responsible for bringing the Remembrance Strategy to life through programming, developing, and delivering high-profile national events. TIn your role, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the Royal British Legion’s Remembrance strategy and plans, engaging key stakeholders to ensure a trusted and transparent relationship. You will lead on relationship development and liaison with key stakeholders, ensuring that Remembrance objectives are central to negotiations and event development. You will also create opportunities for engagement and long-term relationship development that supports the Royal British Legions strategic delivery, ensuring data-driven, targeted audience growth based on research and insight. 

Operationally, you will lead the planning and delivery of events that support the development of relationships with priority audiences, including youth, diverse, armed forces, and heartland communities. You will provide direction and line management to the Director of Music, ensuring events have suitable musical accompaniment. You will ensure each event is delivered using excellent project management practices, negotiate with partners and contractors to ensure alignment with the Royal British Legion’s objectives and best value for the charity.  You will develop a process of review and continuous improvement. This role requires strong financial management, control planning, and operational budgeting to ensure cost-effective delivery of activities while meeting key KPIs.
