If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
- To maintain a policy development, review, and monitoring function as part of the RBL’s Quality and Care Standards Team.
- To support the RBL Care Homes’ Quality Improvement Programme by producing high quality policy and procedure documentation, undertaking research and stakeholder engagement when necessary and most importantly helping to further improve our communication processes.
- Ensure that the policy and guidance documentation across our Care Homes is accessible, consistent and in line with current legislation.
You will have previous experience in an NHS or adult social care setting, with experience in a policy role or demonstrable interest in policy management.
You will have excellent communication, language, planning and organisational skills and be a strong team player with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. This will include having proven skills in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
The Policy Manager role is home based with occasional travelling to RBL offices. There is also an expectation that you will spend time in our care homes supporting our management teams and staff.

Human Practice Foundation (HPF) is searching for a UK Country Manager to join the team and further establish the organisation in this market. The charity’s mission is to work sustainably and holistically to build schools and bring 1,000,000 children into a safe and empowering educational environment, with a focus in Nepal and Kenya.
The UK Country Manager will prioritise continuing the growth of the charity’s funds and will work with an existing network of trusts & foundations and philanthropic individuals, as well as continuing to spread HPF’s message.

Role purpose and dimensions:
- Design and implement a UK Fundraising Strategy, particularly aimed at foundations, institutions, corporates and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in the UK, capable of delivering significant income growth over the next 3-5 years.
- Independently manage a portfolio of prospects and funders, as well as high level volunteers, with the capacity and propensity to give significant funds in support of HPF’s work. This will involve managing and meeting all application deadlines.
- Identify, research, qualify and manage a pipeline of funding prospects.
- Develop a range of funding proposals, pitches and appeals, to successfully solicit funds.
- Design and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship programme, including a combination of events, proposals, reporting, communications and visits.
- Network on behalf of the foundation, representing HPF at the highest levels and at a wide range of events, working with existing and developing new contacts to secure vital introductions.
- Oversee the governance of the UK operation, including all statutory reporting requirements.
- Regular narrative, financial and KPI reporting to the UK Board and to Copenhagen, including provision of board papers ahead of/ presentations at Board meetings.
- Contribute towards key global initiatives and projects, and lead on Foundations fundraising across HPF.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Senior fundraising professional with proven leadership skills and at least three-years’ experience in a not-for-profit organisation
- Strong track record of securing significant donations and grants from foundations and/or institutions (six-figures +). References will be required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering successful funding applications, proposals and pitches
- Self-starter, able to operate independently, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in virtual team working with other senior colleagues.
- A proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF at the highest levels.
- Experienced relationship manager, able to build and maintain relationships with funders, as well as experience working with senior staff, board members and volunteers to cultivate donors.
- Demonstrable experience of setting and achieving ambitious fundraising strategies and plans.
- Able to work at both a strategic and operational level.
- Experience of working closely with and reporting to Boards of Trustees.
Desirable
- Strong affinity with HPF mission, values and approach.
- Track record of securing significant funds from corporates and HNWIs
- Understanding of charity/fundraising legislation and codes of practice.

The context for this role:
This new position, created to lead HPF’s mission in the UK, and lead Trust and Foundation fundraising efforts globally, is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter to build on HPF’s success and grow its income from UK and international foundations, institutions and corporations, as well as UK-based high net worth individuals.

We are looking to recruit a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) FP&A Manager to lead a newly established Business Planning team for the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The Foundation has an annual expenditure of £17m and employs 180 people in the UK, Ireland, India and the USA. We are anticipating further growth in the coming years.
Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead all aspects of the annual business planning and budgeting cycle and monthly reporting to the Foundation’s management and Trustees. AKF(UK) Senior Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European, Asian and North American government and foundation donors to mobilise resources for ten multi-sector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Senior Partnership Managers are responsible for reporting and donor relations on a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners. This role will also include line management responsibilities.
Resource Mobilisation
• Support the Partnerships team to broker and cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing ones with institutional (bilateral and multilateral) and foundations donors
• Lead the development and review of concept notes and proposals (solicited and unsolicited), including logical frameworks and budgets, in close coordination with the Global Programme Team (GPT) and country teams.
• Develop and contribute to positioning pieces and communication materials (e.g. presentations, narrative overviews) to enable regular and effective engagement with donors
• When needed, provide direct hands-on support at country level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners.
• Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way.
• Contribute to management systems, such as the Award Information Management System (AIMS).
Donor engagement and positioning
• Research, source relevant information, and perform analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities.
• Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams to enable effective donor engagement.
• Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities.
• Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests).
• Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids.
• Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
Grants management
• Manage grants through regular coordination with relevant AKDN agencies/country units and the finance department to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. Proactively support the resolution of challenges as they arise.
• Support the preparation, review and feedback process on donor reports to ensure reports comply with donor requirements and are produced on time and to a high standard.
• Be an interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to maintain a solid relationship and to address queries or challenges effectively.
Networking and building public awareness
• Participate and actively engage in relevant networking events/conferences to build awareness of AKF/AKDN with the UK and European public more broadly.
• Interface with the Communications team to identify opportunities and support the planning of events either directly targeting or planned jointly with AKF’s institutional donors (e.g., FCDO, EC).
Leadership and People Management
• Play a leadership role in the unit by setting the example of consistently high standards
• Work with the Partnerships Officers to effectively manage grants and to develop and improve quality of concept notes and proposals
• Filter the team and unit's documents ensuring improvements in standards of writing, presentation, content and context.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Directors or Regional Director for Europe & Asia.

Key tasks
- Strategic membership activities including:

- Leading Parkinson’s Europe membership recruitment and diversification

We're looking for a Research and Insight Executive to join a newly created team within our Fundraising directorate. The team have been created to work alongside the high value teams (Philanthropy and Partnerships) to provide them with the highest quality donor research, funding propositions and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.

What we want from you
We’re looking for a curious, organised and enthusiastic person to work with our high value fundraisers to support them with research and insight on new and existing funding opportunities to support our ambitious growth plans.
As well as conducting research and creating research profiles, you’ll work closely with the Research and Insight Manager to implement new prospect research processes and ways of working to maximise the effectiveness of our high value fundraising programme. You’ll also run finance and KPI data reports for the Head of Philanthropy, Head of Appeal and Head of Partnerships to ensure that we have an understanding of fundraising performance.

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in working and successfully delivering affordable housing development and preferably rural housing. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively and independently. It takes a special project manager with professionalism, enthusiasm, tenacity and a great deal of pride to stay the course and deliver these small, often challenging yet ultimately rewarding community housing schemes. The right candidate will also have sufficient technical expertise, from a formal qualification or direct experience.
