This is a very exciting time to join our expanding Visiting Caseworker Service. We are seeking two new colleagues, who will join our current team of two caseworkers covering the UK and Ireland. These newly created positions will be regionally based, one covering South West England & South Wales, and the other North West England & North Wales (with other travel across the UK on occasion).
Visiting Caseworkers each deal with an approximate caseload of 70-100 cases / visits per year. Central to the role will be supporting and advocating on behalf of vulnerable applicants, or those who are living in particularly complex or challenging situations. The job will be wide-ranging and include elements of advocacy, support, income maximisation, mediation, partnership working and processing our own grants where appropriate, with the overall aim to reach long-term sustainable solutions for Anglican clergy households.
Working closely with the Visiting Caseworker Manager and the wider Charitable Services team, key responsibilities will include:
Receive referrals from applicants via the Grants & Services team, for potential casework and home visits
- Assess and prioritise urgent cases on a weekly basis.
Conduct home visit (or online meeting)
- Provide thorough assessment of current situation, taking into consideration time available and wellbeing of the applicant.
- Conduct general income maximisation check (welfare benefits, grants check etc), where necessary.
- Identify, discuss and escalate (to Designated Safeguarding Officer) any safeguarding concerns within the household.
- Gather information in order to create individualised action plans with the primary contact and other household members.
• Assess and prioritise urgent actions during the meeting.
Develop an action plan
- Complete a written summary of the meeting and draft an action plan for possible areas of help and support with allocated responsibilities and agreed timelines.
- Prioritise urgent actions and agree responsibility for each action with applicant.
- Liaise with other agencies (e.g., DWP, Social Services, NHS, other charities, voluntary organisations, occupational benevolent funds, Dioceses, CofE Pensions Board etc.) where necessary.
- Refer to our own partnership support services if appropriate for help and support.
- Research and identify any local organisations for longer-term support.
- Consider and recommend most appropriate grant support through our own internal grants programme.
- Advocate on behalf of the applicant (e.g., complete internal and external applications, liaise with other external agencies, members of the Church where necessary).
- Act as third party for complaints, mediation or appeal hearings with applicants, either in person, online, or helping prepare a written submission.
- Keep accurate and objective notes and communications within our CRM system and ensure this is kept up to date on a daily basis.
Follow-up
- Manage and update action plans, while keeping in contact with applicant on a regular basis.
- Encourage and empower applicants to complete their actions and know when to step in, as and when necessary.
- Only in exceptional circumstances, consider a further home visit, if deemed appropriate
Other reasonable duties and projects commensurate with the post
- Support and work closely with other VC colleagues sharing areas of expertise.
- In particularly busy times, act as an overflow for grant applications, to support colleagues in the Charitable Services Team.

To be considered for this position with great scope for growth and development potential, applicants should demonstrate:
- Significant experience of working within a charity / not-for-profit or grant making trust, supporting individuals and families with complex health and care needs, elderly, or vulnerable applicants, face-to-face, online and over the phone.
- Significant knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Welfare benefits and submitting appeals or complaints.
- Mental health support
- SEN education advice including SEN support, EHCPs and SENDIST tribunals.
- Local authority and other statutory support such as Social Service Assessments and services, complaints, DFG entitlements.

Responsibilities & Main Duties:
Financial Management
- Act as an effective internal business partner to all colleagues across the charity, providing timely, accurate and relevant information to support the financial planning and performance of all services and functions.
- Day to day responsibility includes leading month end processes including reviewing and posting journals, purchase ledger, sales ledger, adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations to make sure month end reports are delivered within agreed timelines.
- Working with the team to produce the monthly management accounts pack including P&L, cashflow, balance sheet and other management reports with financial analysis and comments as required.
- Working with budget holders on the cycle of budgeting and reforecasting including working to an agreed timetable, setting up templates and working with budget holders to get them completed, plus finalizing them for senior management.
- Supporting the execution of all day-to-day financial operations and processes including management of payroll, gift aid, charity VAT, membership subscriptions, donations and other charitable income and expenditure.
- Assisting in managing external relationships with auditors, banks, pension providers, payroll partners and insurers.
- Managing relationships with stakeholders in relation to efficient issue of invoices, processing of payments, resolving queries etc
Risk Management and Compliance
- Assist in administrating the charity's risk register in timely manner.
- Assist the Director Finance & Corporate Resources in managing internal assurance and governance processes, including internal audit and compliance testing.
- Assist in compliance with contracts with suppliers and landlord as well as supporting compliance in the delivery of charitable service contracts
- Working closely with Director of Finance and Corporate Resources to ensure that Garden Organic is compliant with all regulatory requirements such as data protection, health and safety, the fundraising regulator etc.

General
- It is the nature of the work of Garden Organic that tasks and responsibilities are, in some circumstances, unpredictable and varied. The Role
This is a dynamic new and exciting role which will play a key part in our strategy for development and growth at Link to Change. Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is the UK’s leading health and research charity for pulmonary fibrosis. We are seeking an organised, driven individual with excellent written communication skills to help us grow income from grant making trusts and foundations. This role will raise vital income that will help us support more people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, and fund ground breaking new research that we hope will help stop lives being lost to pulmonary fibrosis.
APF supports people affected by pulmonary fibrosis - a cruel and terminal lung scarring disease that cuts thousands of lives short in the UK each year. There’s no known cure, and it’s on the rise. We want to stop lives being lost to pulmonary fibrosis, and as we enter a new five-year strategic period, income growth underpins our ambitious and exciting plans to grow research, support and influencing.
As Trusts & Grants Coordinator, you will produce inspiring funding applications and reports, and develop relationships with new and existing funders. As well as building on our pipeline of grant making trusts, you will also support the development of income from statutory bodies such as local authorities.
We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, and who is able to write impact-driven funding proposals and reports to inspire sustainable funding. The Digital Healthcare Manager is a new and exciting role at the College. This role will lead the development of the RCPCH Digital Health programme, aimed at understanding the range of technologies in use by the membership along with the digital confidence and competence of the membership through analysis of survey data. This analysis will help to provide details of key digital solutions for the workforce. The Digital Health programme will also support the workforce to embrace and implement digital health technologies into clinical practice.
As Digital Healthcare Manager, you will lead activities related to the integration of digital health technologies into mainstream paediatrics by participating in relevant Committees and working groups and reporting to Project Boards on the programme’s progress against agreed timelines, deliverables, risks and issues.
Based within the Research and Evidence team and reporting to the Head of Research and Evidence, you will work with colleagues internally and externally to embed digital skills into the paediatric workforce as well as developing education and training resources for paediatricians, to help build capacity and capability.
You will also work with the Head of Grants and Partnerships to identify sources of funding to support future work within the Research and Evidence remit and work with communications colleagues to create and implement communication plans and resources/assets related to the RCPCH Digital Health.
With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science or digital healthcare
component, you should have experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.
You should have experience of collaborative ways of working across multidisciplinary teams and programmes of work and have the ability to manage competing demands and conflicts whilst maintaining productive working relationships with stakeholders.
With excellent organisational skills and the ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work, paying careful attention to detail and capable of following standard procedures and ways of working, you should also have demonstrable programme management skills, being able to work autonomously and take personal responsibility for your projects.
Knowledge of research methodology, including literature searching and data analysis, along with a project management qualification and an understanding of the education and training pathways of paediatric healthcare professionals would also be desirable.

The Finance Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the Charity and providing timely and accurate financial information. The team is responsible for ensuring there is a strong financial control environment, and for providing support and advice on all finance matters to employees across the charity.
This role requires you to be in the office at least two days per week, and combines daily tasks, which require attention to detail to accurately record data and maintain records, along with a broader responsibility for employee expense claims which requires a proactive approach and initiative in resolving issues and helping others around the organisation.
This role requires excellent focus, time management and prioritisation as it involves daily, weekly, and monthly tasks which must be carried out methodically in accordance with documented procedures, and which may vary in complexity depending on queries and requests received. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Answering the Finance Team telephone line.

· Sending non-cheque vouchers to the relevant agencies.
· Year end audit assistance, collating documents such as invoices, cheques, or bank statements for auditors.
