GiveOut is an award-winning international LGBTQI community foundation. Our mission is to bring together the LGBTQI community and allies to support global LGBTQI rights activism worldwide, building a world where LGBTQI people everywhere can live freely and fully.

Across the world, courageous activists are doing vital work to protect our communities and improve the lives of LGBTQI people. But they lack resources and funding is fragile, especially in the Global South and East. LGBTQI groups receive a tiny fraction of international development aid – just 4p in every £100 awarded by governments.

Our community and allies want to provide support, but it is not always easy to do so. GiveOut’s purpose is to help address this urgent need by providing a platform for our supporters to give tax efficiently in one place to fund LGBTQI human rights activism worldwide. We identify pioneering groups to support through a rigorous process of consultation, due diligence and vetting, guided by our Grant-making Advisory Panel and governed by our Board of Trustees.

We pool the donations we receive to provide grants to LGBTQI organisations around the world, ensuring they have more of the resources they need to defend our communities, tackle inequality and campaign for lasting change.

About the Role

Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, implementing a vital part of our philanthropy programme as we deliver our growth strategy.
 

You will identify, engage, cultivate and steward major donors (high net worth individuals) and charitable foundations to secure high value gifts and grants, grow long term strategic relationships in support of the LGBTQI movement, grow GiveOut's network, and provide a top quality donor experience. 

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will support them on shaping and executing strategy and work planning, coordinating the donor database and leading on related internal processes, and deputising for the Head externally.

We are open to full time or part time (pro rata) at a minimum of 24 hours, or equivalent to 3 days per week. We are also open to flexible working arrangements to be discussed. Occasional evenings or weekends out of hours will be required, such as for networking or GiveOut hosted events, for which time off in lieu will be granted. 

Key Responsibilities

• Donor and Partner Engagement

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of major donors and trusts & foundations

  • Prospect Research and due diligence on prospective donors

  • Cultivate strong relationships with prospective and existing donors

  • Write compelling grant applications and funding proposals tailored to trusts & foundations

  • Secure five and six figure partnerships and donations to support GiveOut’s mission to grow giving to support the global struggle for LGBTQI human rights

  • Donor reporting on the impact of their gift through grant partner successes

  • Represent GiveOut at events, speaking engagements, and donor meetings.
     

• Strategy and Leadership

  • Support the Head of Philanthropy on fundraising and philanthropic advocacy strategy and plans aligned with organisational goals

  • Deputise for the Head externally as needed
     

• Operations and Reporting

  • Maintain and optimise fundraising systems, including the donor database (Donorfy) and fundraising pipeline

  • Report back on pipeline and partner development to the Head of Philanthropy

  • Support the Philanthropy Coordinator on finance reconciliation process
     

• Team Collaboration and Culture

  • Work closely with the Communications & Campaigns Officer to create effective donor materials and external communications.

  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team Coordinator who supports the Philanthropy Team on reporting, grant applications, events etc.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Passion for GiveOut’s mission to grow giving for LGBTQI rights and a commitment to advancing LGBTQI rights worldwide.

• Proven experience and success in non-profit fundraising, including individual giving

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication for engaging donors and stakeholders.

• Proficiency with fundraising software and databases

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience of major donor fundraising with a track record of initiating new relationships and securing four to five figure gifts.

• Experience of securing grants from Trusts & Foundations with a track record of initiating new relationships and securing five to six figure grants. 

• Experience of running cultivation and/or fundraising events 

• Understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools, event management tools (e.g. Eventbrite)

Managing Director, Home-Start Wandsworth (HSW)

The Role:

The Managing Director sets the vision and strategy for HSW. They lead on income generation and profile raising; working with local stakeholders, building partnerships, and growing funding relationships to achieve that.  Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the MD will set annual objectives alongside long term goals - whilst providing vision and leadership to the team. The role will ensure operational excellence, providing direction & coaching when needed, to deliver innovation, sustainability & compliance. 

The Person:

• We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and empathetic leader who is committed to the Home-Start ethos.

• A track record in income generation, partnership working and team management are essential. 

• The successful candidate will combine collaboration, creativity and resilience, with a proven ability to deliver.

• Experience of leading change and driving sustainability within a small charity would be particularly valuable.

Reports to: 

• Chair, Board of Trustees 

Key Responsibilities:

•  Set the overall strategy, vision and annual objectives for the organisation, alongside the Board of Trustees.
• Be accountable for the overall performance of the organisation and leadership of the team, including guidance and coaching for direct reports.
• Develop and deliver a robust and sustainable funding strategy 
• Develop and deliver the long-term grant funding strategy, leading the bidding process for the organisation. Actively research and build relationships with grant funders to maximise opportunities and success. Write & submit grant applications, working with relevant members of the Team and Trustees. Give strategic direction to the Operations Manager, as required, on progress reporting  to grant funders.
• Develop and drive the community fundraising strategy for the charity working with relevant members of the team and Trustee committee members. Build local partnerships with businesses, schools and churches to increase regular giving. 
• Actively champion and contribute to fundraising events - and generate ideas for new activity. 
• Manage key strategic partnerships, relationships and donors on an ongoing basis to ensure income, volunteer and referral pipelines are maintained to optimise the organisation’s impact. 
• Working with the Operations lead, ensure the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation. 
• Provide regular performance and progress reports to the board as requested  and ensure the charity is compliant with all HSUK policies and procedures. 
• Set and manage the annual operational budget, and ensure the effective management of all HSW resources, IT provision and operational contracts. 

Additional responsibilities: 

• Develop and advocate for the profile of the organisation within the borough and represent it to relevant bodies, including HSUK and HSL, taking an active role in working groups.  Act as an ambassador and embodiment of the organisation’s values. 
• Deliver the annual impact report alongside the Communications Manager. 
• Ensure the completion of all Operational HSUK Quality Assurance assessments.
• Be accountable for safeguarding in the operational team, working closely with the Safeguarding lead, who is responsible for delivery.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Management experience of small/medium teams in the voluntary sector. 
• Proven track record of success in charity fundraising and grant application processes.

We have an exciting opportunity for a proven HR Generalist to partner our Commercial Enterprises and Fundraising Directorates. This role is part of the HR Business Partnering team and works with colleagues across the department to deliver HR services and our People and Culture Strategy.

As the first point of contact on people issues for senior management you will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, especially as advising, problem-solving and identifying effective and workable solutions will be an important part of the role.

You will be a member of CIPD, or graduate member working toward full membership, with significant experience in a busy HR generalist role. With proven experience of employee relations case management, you will also experience of partnering to a client group and providing support, advice and guidance to senior management. Adaptability, resilience and a strong customer focus are essential, along with the ability to influence at senior management level.

We're recruiting for someone to lead our Capacity Building & Standards (CB&S) function on a maternity cover contract.

The CB&S function aims to build the capacity of organisations and institutions to embed the processes, skills, structures and cultures needed for effective public engagement in decision making. This includes work in the public, private and third sectors.On a practical level this includes developing and delivering training courses and mentoring programmes; setting up and supporting networks; authoring good practice guides and thought leadership pieces; being responsible for our Knowledge Base and tools; leading sector-wide standards development; and, managing and other programmes and projects that supports the embedding of public participation and engagement in the UK. 

In this role you will lead the CB&S team in the development, design and delivery of impactful and sustainable capacity building and standards setting programmes and projects. You will oversee the work of the function and quality direct work of around 10 people (both CB&S team and cross-function roles). You will be a member of our management team, be accountable for the function achieving its objectives, report on function performance to the board and oversee the implementation of our impact framework supported by the impact working group.

We work across the UK, with offices in Belfast and London. Many of our staff work from home across the UK or in a hybrid pattern, rather than being based at one of our offices, though we meet up regularly as a team

The Role

This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. Collaborating closely with the Director of Fundraising & International Partnerships, you will build strong relationships with existing funders in the UK and source and build relationships with new donors. You will play an active role in the fundraising team & across the organisation contributing to an exceptional working environment.

The Key Responsibilities

• Help meet RT and LYN fundraising targets, by:

1. Securing income streams from new UK donors, including through Grants & Trust income and individuals, through researching, approaching, and applying, and
2. Developing strong working relationships with existing UK donors, seeking opportunities for deeper partnerships and securing on-going giving where possible.

• Carry out insightful and informative research on new UK opportunities, and create impactful engagement strategies for potential new donors,

• Produce high quality, professionally written proposals, and application forms, which ensure the highest possibility of securing new funds.

• Produce timely, insightful, and impactful monitoring reports in accordance with donor requirements.

• Identify engagement opportunities to keep UK donors updated and informed on our work, including full or partial responsibility for our three key events each year: Experience Revitalise, Celebrate Revitalise, and Introduce Revitalise.
• Manage a small team in delivering the above.

The Right Candidate

• Significant fundraising experience, or a similar environment in raising funds to support an initiative, bringing in c. £2-3m in funds a year, including new funding.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, able to write excellent briefs and build highly effective relationships internally and externally with donors.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential skills and experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, including a track record of securing high-value gifts of six figures.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering fundraising strategies, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts, and foundations.
• Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets. The Fundraising Director will manage a team of two within a wider organisation of 25 staff.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with donors, corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, and stakeholders, including grassroots and volunteer-driven fundraising efforts.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and reporting on fundraising performance, with a focus on KPIs and success metrics.
• Ability to set and achieve clear fundraising growth targets, ensuring alignment between current income portfolios and projected expansion.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising proposals and cases for support.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection laws (GDPR), and ethical fundraising best practices.
• Ability to work strategically and collaboratively with senior leadership teams to align fundraising activities with the charity’s mission and objectives.

Charity People are recruiting on behalf of a wonderful charity based near Stratford Upon Avon to find them a proactive and highly organised person to work in their Corporate Partnerships team. Working in a team of five, and reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, this role will also include event coordination, ensuring the smooth running of their annual event taking place on the 25^th June. You will be able to work a full day, and attend the events out of working hours that afternoon into evening. The ideal candidate will be confident, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support across corporate partnerships and be comfortable approaching a researched pipeline of corporate prospects (potential value £5k-£10k) including meeting with clients and developing proposals.
• Administer the ongoing corporate volunteering programme for the charity's corporate partners and corporate prospects.
• Help organise the event, arranging the guest list, following up with invitees and RSVPS, updating and recording on the charity CRM (Donorfy) and Excel, liaise with suppliers, sending regular updates to the team
• Research and deliver detailed and accurate research and due diligence on corporate prospects as required.
• Support the SCPM with the stewardship of HoEF corporate partners, ensuring strong relationships are maintained.
• Ensure accuracy of recording and customer data management across corporate partnerships using Donorfy and provide reports as required.
• Maintain accurate income records on Donorfy and in Excel spreadsheets, conducting cross-checks to ensure data integrity.
• Ensure corporate files on SharePoint are well maintained to a high standard of organisation.
• Support the administration of supporter care, including maintaining up-to-date records on our CRM, responding promptly to inquiries and donor stewardship.

You will bring:

• Previous corporate partnerships experience, including prospecting and stewardship.

This is an exciting opportunity for a corporate partnerships fundraiser to contribute to a meaningful cause and gain valuable experience. The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and quickly.

There are no buses or trains in a commutable distance. So, you it would be ideal for a car driver, there is parking on site. The office is quite far into the countryside, however there is no set expectation to be in the office, only when required, ideally once a fortnight, and then the week running up to the event.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Mental Health Workshop Lead to support delivery of our Family Zone project running in Southwark. This is a contractor position for 12 weeks, working 1 to 2 days per week, from the middle of May. There is the potential to continue for a further 12-14-week period in the autumn.

Family Zone in Southwark will benefit approximately 100-125 members of families where at least one parent has a diagnosed mental health problem. We have successfully delivered a pilot group and will continue to deliver additional groups throughout 2025 with a plan to continue in 2026. Each group programme will consist of ten, weekly after-school workshops lasting two hours in person (3 sessions) or one hour online (7 sessions) and the workshop lead will be expected to jointly plan and deliver these sessions leading on the parental discussions. The workshop lead will also be responsible for leading the parent only discussions during 7 on-line sessions which will run at a different time.

What does the role involve?

• Jointly plan the delivery of the family workshops leading on the psycho education element in the sessions. (10 sessions)
• Lead on the planning and delivery of 7 parent-only sessions.
• Keep a record of key issues discussed in each group, any significant incidents that occur, and any positive or negative feedback from the group for discussion with the Programme Lead - Families Children & Young People.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Professional qualification or significant experience in a related field such as psychotherapy/counselling.
• Demonstrable group facilitation skills and the ability to lead with a non-judgemental attitude, understanding the potential impact of different mental health difficulties on other group members.
• Experience of working with families in a mental health capacity.

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting for an Operations Officer to play a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operations of the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation. We have grown rapidly in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. We are now expanding our operations team to support the larger staff team and delivery of our strategy.

This role will support the organisation’s ongoing development by helping ensure the charity has necessary systems in place and operates in line with its policies and procedures. You will support the organisation’s IT systems, digital transformation, HR, finance and administrative processes. Your responsibilities will include:

· Supporting the operation and improvement of systems that maintain delivery of our mission such as office management and administration, IT and HR

· Work closely with the Operations and Officer Manager to implement digital transformation to ensure that the organisation is using the best tools and working in as efficient a manner as possible

· Work closely with the Operations and Officer Manager and Administrator to ensure financial reports are produced accurately and in a timely manner

· Support the drafting of policies, procedures and systems used by the organisation

· Act as our day-to-day administrator for our database on Salesforce, with training provided as needed

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £31,294 with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are located between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. At the time of posting this advert, none of our staff are going into the office every day. There might also be occasional travel outside London with plenty of notice. Annual leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).
