BAPRAS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to manage and grow a small team that will help its members to raise an awareness of the breadth of plastic surgery as well as promote innovation in teaching, learning and research.
The Head of Operations will work collaboratively with other team members and the Officers and Trustees in all aspects of:
- managing the day-to-day operations and project delivery of the organisation to ensure the effective coordination of events, communications, committees, governance and member support & services.

We are looking for a senior campaigns, media and PR specialist to lead our recently expanded communications team to deliver a compelling and influential comms and campaigns strategy.
You will be responsible for the strategic development and operational delivery of all our campaigns and external communications, finding creative ways to build our brand, increase understanding of pregnancy loss and grow our income. You will manage relationships with the media and lead on securing coverage across online and offline channels, through, for example, press releases, human interest stories, case studies and position statements.
Acting as a key ambassador for the MA, you will also support the CEO to develop and maintain strong relationships with, and represent the charity to, a diverse range of stakeholders. The Senior Fundraising Officer will play a key role in the Fundraising Team helping to generate significant and increased income from charitable trusts and foundations and corporate partners.
The role will be responsible for ensuring a regular pipeline of new and existing income from both areas and ensuring partners are stewarded appropriately to maximise engagement with the charity’s aims and objectives.

enhancing the rights of all pregnant women, new mothers and their families to employment,
social security and health care.
We are seeking an experienced policy professional to lead our employment and social
security policy work.
About us
We are a small charity that has grown over the past four years. We have a longstanding
commitment to working from home, and we offer our staff genuine flexibility. 23 of our 27
staff work part time, and staff are located across the UK.
We have an active programme of policy and campaigning to protect and strengthen the
rights of low-income pregnant women and new parents. Our in-house legal team delivers
advice and casework support to over 3,500 pregnant women and new parents across the UK
each year and our 50+ online information sheets are viewed over 1.3 million times.
About our policy and campaigning work
Maternity Action’s vision is a society which fully respects the rights of all pregnant women
and new parents to employment, social security and health care.
To achieve this vision, we undertake thoughtful research and policy analysis which is
grounded in the lived experiences of pregnant women and new parents, and which draws on
the expert knowledge of our legal team and evidence from our advice services. Our work
influences law and policy with the aim of reducing poverty, improving health and advancing
equality and human rights for all pregnant women and new parents.
We prioritise issues affecting low income and marginalised women and have an active
programme of research, policy and campaigning work on employment, social security and
healthcare.
Key areas of campaigning on employment rights include ending pregnancy and maternity
discrimination in the workplace and promoting a more equitable framework for maternity and
parental leave. Our work on the cost-of-living crisis is highlighting the underinvestment in
maternity pay and maternity benefits, the limited support available for migrant mothers and
calling for improved financial support. We have an on-going campaign and programme of
work around NHS charging for maternity care, which affects some of the most socially and economically vulnerable women in the UK.
Our policy and campaigns work has a strong focus on partnership working with voluntary
organisations, health professionals and unions to support women to exercise their rights. We
convene the Alliance for Maternity Rights and the Maternity Entitlement Group to promote collaborative campaigning on employment rights and on charging for NHS maternity care.
We work closely with a range of voluntary organisations in our policy and campaign work,
including smaller frontline organisations working with marginalised women.
About you
We are looking for an experienced Senior Employment and Social Security Policy Officer to
undertake policy analysis, campaigning and research on employment rights affecting
pregnant women and new parents, including maternity discrimination, precarious work,
health and safety, maternity and parental leave and flexible working.
You will be able to form relationships with Government, Trade Unions, business groups, Equality and Human Rights
Commission and voluntary sector organisations. Working with staff across the organisation
you will be able to communicate about employment policy effectively to a wide range of
audiences.
You will have an understanding of the social security system as it relates to pregnant women
and new parents, and an ability to analyse policy developments relating to the Department
for Work and Pensions.

The role
This is a hybrid role to be delivered from home and our office in Finsbury Park, London.
Total hours to be worked each week is 21; other than Thursday, which is a core day, we are
flexible about start/finish times and days worked, within normal business hours. Hours can
be spread across three, four or five days. All staff are required to travel within the UK
occasionally.

Designed in partnership with UCL, In2research is a year-long programme that aims to improve access to postgraduate research degrees and careers for people from low-socioeconomic and underrepresented backgrounds. Through workshops, mentoring, professional development days and an eight-week research placement, participants receive the development opportunities and insight they need to progress onto postgraduate research degrees and careers in STEM, Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities subjects.

Duties and responsibilities:
The purpose of the Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2research Programme.
Your specific duties will include:
Programme Delivery

Manage participants and volunteers from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation.

Maintain excellent working relationships with funders and delivery partners and other external stakeholders to further the delivery of our work. This will include working and communicating with academic and professional services staff at universities, consultants, placement supervisors, mentors and workshop leads

Create and develop engaging communication materials about the programme including programme guides, presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text and images.

What the job involves

Our focus is on making Prostate Cancer UK widely recognisable and building a deep understanding of the cause for our brand to be sustained. Following audience insight, we gain the attention of priority audiences at tactical calendar moments through creative content and storytelling.
You’ll be helping to tackle some of the biggest issues facing prostate cancer, from building public support and momentum behind our ambitious research programme, to increasing public understanding of risk factors and treatment options.
With your expertise and understanding of the national health agenda you’ll plan, develop and deliver large scale integrated campaigns which result in high quality, engaging and impactful media coverage, working collaboratively with colleagues across Communications.
You’ll provide expert media and PR guidance to teams and individuals across the charity, including the Executive Team, Research and Support and Influencing teams, and will build long-lasting relationships with key influential journalists and stakeholders to ensure prostate cancer remains an issue high in their agenda.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Post Summary
Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation. Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.

Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Special Events Team as Senior Special Events Fundraiser.
We have some exciting events coming up including a reception in October and a high-profile dinner at The Design Museum in November, so we need somebody to come in and hit the ground running. Please note that these events are in the evenings so the role will require some flexibility.
