To help us in this next phase of development, we are recruiting for a newly created position - Senior Evaluation and Data Manager. This exciting role will report to the Director of Learning and Impact and work alongside the Senior Evaluation and Research Manager. The role will have two main areas of focus. First, the role will help lead a rolling schedule of formative evaluations on activities in local sites including pre-and-post quantitative outcomes analysis. Second, the role will support local learning and high-quality implementation through harnessing the power of quantitative data.  

You will be a skilled evaluation and learning professional with strong skills in quantitative data analysis. You will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and committed to the need for continued learning and improvement, as a basis for achieving Thrive at Five’s ambition to develop an effective and replicable place-based model for supporting early childhood development.

Ruils is a charity that supports disabled children and adults, to live independently, be part of their community and to live life to the full. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families. The Adult Services Team Manager is one of 3 team managers reporting to our Chief Executive Officer. The services managed include Direct Payment Support across Richmond and Wandsworth, Befriending and Community Activities, our Benefits and Housing Advice and Information service and our Counselling service.

We constantly research and develop services to meet the identified needs of the community and this role would suit someone who wants a good level of autonomy to develop new ideas.

The Adults Services Manager works alongside our Children’s Team Manager and our Social Prescribing and Community Development Manager, supported by Finance, Fundraising and Campaigns and Communications Managers.

Purpose of Post

• To be responsible for the management of the Support Services to Direct Payment clients in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To be responsible for the research and development of adult services in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To oversee promotion, monitoring and delivery of the CILS, Pathways and Counselling services.
• To provide leadership and supervision, performance evaluation and general support for all of the adult services team managers and leads.

Main Duties include:

Management of Direct Payment Support Service

• Lead and manage the Direct Payment Support Service across Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs through the Direct Payment Leads.
• Provide support to the DP team leads to resolve complex DP HR management issues around the area of employment law.
• Support the team leads in their work with the local authority to set targets for the project, monitor performance against these targets and identify and resolve any issues that arise.
• Provide performance data to finance for invoicing purposes.
• Report quarterly to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees.
• Work with the DP team leads and the CEO on new DP projects and funding applications as required.

CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams

• Lead and manage the delivery of the Community activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.
• Work with the CILS partners to ensure that the service is meeting Local Authority targets.
• Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees.
• Responsible for ensuring active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and to ensure representation of Ruils at networking events.
• Work with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to ensure projects are fully funded and demand is well managed.

The Research Officer will join our Applied Research and Evaluation division to contribute to work and projects of the Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC). CORC brings together organisations and individuals committed to using and improving evidence to improve children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The post-holder will be skilled in the R programming language in order to validate, clean, analyse and visualise data for reports. They will be involved in interviewing research participants, so the ability to build and maintain relationships with project participants is key. Experience of research design, ethics approval and data collection is essential.

The successful candidate will join a friendly, cross-disciplinary team in which staff are continually developing their quantitative and qualitative research skills. They will liaise directly with practitioners and partner organisations to discuss data, analysis and findings. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to reports and academic publications. The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.

In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC)to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.

Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated User Researcher to join our charity. Your work will contribute to improving products and services for our communities, including carrying out user research projects for our corporate partners and to improve RNID’s products and services. You will also contribute towards optimising our internal processes for carrying out user research both within RNID and externally with corporate partners. If you have a passion for user-centred design, a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and a desire to make a positive impact with the communities that we support, we would love to hear from you.

You will:

1. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gain deep insights into the needs, preferences, and challenges faced by people who are deaf and those with hearing loss and tinnitus. Apply a variety of innovative research methodologies as well as standard approaches, such as interviews and surveys, to understand user needs, behaviours, and motivations.
2. Collaborate with partner organisations to provide expert user research insights, recommendations, and guidance to support the development of inclusive products, services, and experiences. Consider their business objectives and align research goals to meet their needs. Use your expertise to scope out projects and develop quotes.
3. Work closely with the RNID Digital and Innovation team and other cross-functional teams. Engaging with users to gain deep insights into their needs and preferences, you will share the insights and findings with the team, facilitating the iterative improvement and refinement of our products and services, and ensuring they meet the needs of our communities.
4. Contribute to the enhancement of user research processes within RNID. Identify opportunities for streamlining and optimising research methodologies, data collection, and analysis techniques. Implement best practices and develop guidelines to ensure research is conducted ethically, efficiently, and effectively.
5. Analyse research data and extract meaningful insights and trends. Synthesise findings into actionable recommendations for improving products, services, and user experiences.
6. Present research findings and insights to internal teams, external stakeholders, and corporate partners in a clear and accessible manner. Select and use appropriate formats for communicating research findings to varied stakeholders, including senior leaders, designers, and people in technical roles.

We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by supporting the charity’s growing research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.

The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Research and Evaluation Manager. The team is also supported by a number of colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.

The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

• has a degree in a subject involving applied research (e.g., economics, education, policy, psychology, sociology, statistics).

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Growth & Branding, the Research & Development Manager will be responsible for leading Research and Development function at Enable. 

Working closely with colleagues in the Growth Team and managing the R&D Officer, this person will manage conduct research, summarise findings and make recommendations in line with Enable’s strategic plan. 

The Growth Team is a newly created team at Enable. They will be responsible for accelerating growth and development throughout our services and bringing Enable’s Strategic Plan to life! As a member of the Growth Team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our company, working collaboratively across departments to identify new opportunities, develop solutions, and implement strategic initiatives. Main Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Use quantitative and qualitative research methods to develop and support research across Enable’s many product and service offerings
• Work collaboratively with Business Development colleagues to understand Enable’s business model, current projects and potential growth areas
• Review and summarize data and research findings and make recommendations to Enable teams and services 
• Analyse current and prospective bids and grants, gathering supporting evidence and presenting findings to the Leadership Team 
• Work closely with the Business Development colleagues and other well-connected Enable colleagues to identify and engage with stakeholders who can support aspects of the R&D process (for example, community organisations, universities, think tanks). 
• Lead the development of an R&D Strategy and R&D Action Plan to guide Enable’s and the R&D Team’s approach to R&D. 
• Conduct and lead feasibility assessments of initial R&D ideas (sourced from Business Development, broader Enable colleagues, and/or community) to determine feasibility of an idea to progress to the proceeding R&D stages (i.e. research, design, development) 
• Lead data gathering and design-thinking workshops with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. potential consumers) to feed into the research, design and development of new products or services and/or the expansion of current products or services. 
• Test prototypes or early-stage versions of product/service with potential consumers and stakeholders and iteratively refine based on feedback and testing. 
• Lead analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected through research, design and development stages (including monitoring and evaluation, and consumer testing feedback) and summarise into recommendations presented to Leadership Team / Growth Team to assist with the implementation of proposed R&D projects. 
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop communication and marketing products (i.e. emails, flyers, consent forms, presentations) to support R&D activities. 
• Collaborating with services to ensure social impact other tangible outcomes are being measured 
• Budget and forecast new research plans and developments.
• Line management and leadership of the Research and Development Officer, including performance and workload management, skills analysis and identifying and supporting opportunities for professional development. 
• Represent R&D as a legitimate and integral function in internal and external engagements. 
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks for prototypes and the launched product and/or service, and lead quality assurance.
• Any other relevant duties that the Head of Growth & Branding may see fit

Skills and Experience: 

• 3-5 years of experience in a Research and Development role and  Experience designing and leading research studies through mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) with diverse community groups
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills (internal and external) through a range of engagement pathways (i.e. roundtables, meetings, emails) and platforms (virtual, in-person)
• Strong Project Management skills for research studies and interventions (including resource identification, workflow management, and budgeting)
• Experience developing strategies and action plans to guide work processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and efficient time and workload management.
• Experience managing research projects or programmes within timeframes and budgets
• Excellent communication, spoken and written skills 
• Experience developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure performance. 
• Proficient written and oral communication skills, including evidence of writing for a range of audiences and translating technical information into comprehensive and accessible communication materials and products.

The NGSN Communications and Partnerships Manager role is crucial to the successful coordination and delivery of the communications for GambleAware and the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN). The role will sit within the GambleAware communications team and will work in collaboration with the System’s Commissioning team, focused on building relationships with the National Gambling Support Network providers and act as an interface between the providers and GambleAware Communications team.

The Partnerships Manager will:

•  be the main point of contact for the NGSN providers on the day-to-day development and delivery of communications 
• be responsible for understanding the communications needs across the NGSN, working alongside the wider Communications team to address these needs, developing and delivering against a communications plan 
• encourage the uptake of communications assets and materials across the wider partnership network. 
• be responsible for upskilling providers in partnership activity and take a collaborative approach to working with those across the Network.

This is a key role, developing and shaping an innovative portfolio of career development programmes helping the next generation of researchers reach their full potential. You will be primarily responsible for managing the Academy’s Cross-sector programme, bringing together researchers and innovators across life sciences sectors at regional cross-sector hubs to promote innovation. In addition, you will lead the team delivering our scientific conference for clinical academics and manage INSPIRE, our programme to encourage medical, dental and veterinary undergraduate students to undertake research.

In this role, you will lead on developing and maintaining our partnerships with external organisations we fund to deliver the cross-sector events around the UK, building relationships with key people and working with them to ensure work is delivered to a high quality and evaluated to demonstrate we are achieving our aims. You will identify and implement innovations to improve our events and other activities, manage relationships with funders who support these programmes and contribute to funding proposals. You will also engage with the wider grants, programmes and policy teams work, connecting in relevant researchers and sharing your expertise in career development support. In addition, all Academy staff are encouraged to take part in cross-team projects, for example in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in our activities and to contribute to initiatives such as staff learning sessions and networking opportunities.

This role is offered as a secondment or fixed term contract of 4 months from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research and Evaluation Specialist to join our Research and Performance department at The Active Wellbeing Society. Our head office is based in Tyseley (Birmingham) and we are offering this as a hybrid role, including working from the head office, across Birmingham and home working, with national travel when required. This role is responsible for research and evaluation across all areas of the organisation to support strategic and operational decision-making. This includes primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, participatory research etc.) and data analysis skills to produce recommendations and actionable insights to drive behaviour change, and adapt and improve our practice.

You should have experience of designing and leading mixed method research projects (quantitative and qualitative), using a range of tools to analyse and evaluate a variety of datasets and interpreting your findings into robust recommendations. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt these to different audiences. The role will support the Research and Insight Manager.

Ideally, you will bring a high level of expertise across all the knowledge and skills we are looking for, as set out further below. We will consider candidates who require some development in areas of their knowledge and are willing to learn whilst in the role.

The role of Volunteering Manager will work to review and expand Concordia’s Volunteering programmes to ensure a variety of attractive opportunities both in the UK and abroad. They will ensure effective management and administration of all opportunities, initiate new partnerships with UK charities and hosts, and represent Concordia at international events and network meetings.

ROLE OBJECTIVES

• To maintain, review and develop current Concordia volunteering programmes and partnerships
• To actively research & seek out new partnerships for hosting volunteers coming to the UK and UK volunteers travelling overseas
