Your ability to coach people from a diverse range of backgrounds, with different learning styles and neurodiversity, will help you to develop a culture of inclusivity and mutual support. You’ll develop strong relationships within the organisation and identify and establish valuable collaborations with local employers and training providers.

Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager

Founded in 2012 we are a UK charity that provide support, advice and information to patients and their loved ones who are affected by cancers of the head, mouth, neck, chest, and those throat cancers caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). We also campaign for universal HPV vaccination to prevent any future devastating throat cancer cases. Raising awareness of HPV and how it causes throat cancers has been and continues to be a large part of our work.
About the role
The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, the management team, and Trustees to implement, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets the charity’s challenging income targets. This post will play a vital role in helping us to deliver our range of throat cancer support programmes to patients, families, as well as to medical professionals and the scientific research sectors. This is a unique and challenging role, which will see the successful applicant working on a variety of projects at any one time, whilst working under pressure to deliver results. It is therefore important that anyone in that role has great communication skills as well as experience of managing fundraising events on a nationwide scale.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fundraising duties as required.
- Be the customer service face for all fundraisers and fundraising activities.
- Play a key role in the development and implementation of TCF’s community fundraising activities and third-party events.
- Work with the Business Development Manager and CEO to develop key messages, briefings, and positioning statements to ensure consistency and maximise the impact of our work
- Create, manage, and deliver robust project plans for allocated events delivering on set income targets.
- Review and adapt current events in the portfolio to maximise supporter engagement, retention and income growth.
- Booking and liaising with all suppliers involved with events and building and maintaining strong relationships with them.
- Working across the charity and externally, to significantly grow both volunteer numbers and activity.
- Develop the way we speak about volunteering, our brand, and associated materials, in order to attract more volunteers with the skills we need.

About the Role

The Role

Support Coordinator
Here at Stroke Association, we’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in the Salford area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.
Position: S11201 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Salford, however, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Circa £16,043 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum) (inner London weighting £2,370 per annum or outer London weighting £1,260 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)

The Role

In this International Finance Manager role, you will:
- Be fully responsible for managing two finance service providers in the UK and New Zealand entities, ensuring that all invoices are processed and approved in time for fortnightly payment runs handling GBP and other currencies through different systems.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of accounts updated by the finance service provider, identifying variances and hold meetings with budget holders in the programmes team to support quarterly forecasting and maintain an 18-month rolling forecast.
- Ensure all reconciliations are completed by the finance service provider and present quarterly report summaries to the leadership team, and work with the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources to prepare reports for board presentations.
- Ensure annual year-end accounts are produced and reconciled, oversee the external audit process, and address any outstanding questions and lead the annual budgeting process with budget holders and review financial policies periodically to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Utilise your experience working within charities with complex funding streams by leading in the production of donor reporting and work with the finance service provider to establish standardised donor reporting processes.
