Your new role

• Cash management - monitor daily cash balances and cash flow projections to support operational needs.
• Banking relationships - cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, serving as the main point of contact for treasury-related matters. Coordinate bank account opening, closing, and management.
• Cash forecasting - develop and maintain cash forecasting models to accurately predict short-term and long-term cash requirements. Analyse cash flow trends, variances and risks.
• Financial reporting - prepare regular reports on cash positions, liquidity metrics, and financial performance for senior management and external stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of cash flow statements and other treasury-related disclosures for financial reporting processes.
• Risk management - identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including currency risk, interest rate risk and counterparty risk. Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate exposure to financial risks and safeguard the institute's assets.

What you'll need to succeed

• Professional certification such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is desirable.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is essential.
• 3+ years of experience within a treasury, cash management, or financial analysis roles is essential. Preferably within a global organisation or within the not-for-profit sector.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, banking operations and cash flow management.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experience with the financial system Workday is preferred.

You’ll work with teams across the charity including marketing, product, retail, and health to develop insight plans, manage research projects and deliver insights to inform decision making.

In this role, you’ll inspire colleagues to value insights and evidence. Your work will help teams see the power of using insights to shape their decisions and strategies.

Using a variety of quantitative and qualitative tools and methodologies, you’ll run in-house research projects end-to-end. You’ll carry out data analysis and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders such as by delivering reports, debriefs and workshops.

You’ll also manage projects that are outsourced to external research agencies – including procurement, project management and quality assurance throughout the project.

This role sits within the Customer Insight and Analysis team, a team of researchers, data and digital analysts, and data scientists. We work across the BHF to ensure the organisation’s strategy is led with high quality, timely intelligence, and our colleagues can access high quality insight to support decision making, drive growth and improve our products and services. 

Working arrangements

18-month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment. 

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

Naturally analytical and curious with in-depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, you’ll have impeccable attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.

You’ll have experience conducting a range of research projects, in a pure market or social research function (agency or client-side).

You will have the ability to encourage user engagement with the service through proactive contact. Maintain project logs and collate data from the logs for Team Managers. What the job involves

We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Events and Community Team. A high performing team who are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.

Our team raises funds through a range of activities including:

· our own events (e.g. March for Men)

· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)

· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)

This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Facebook Fundraising. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.

You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

Team Lead: Modern Workplace

About the role:

We are seeking a Team Lead to provide engineering and technical leadership in the delivery of enterprise-wide IT modern workplace services to the Museum's circa 1,000 staff and for the partners and guests who visit and use the Museum's services. The role manages the 3rd line engineers responsible for the Museum's modern workplace across visitor and security services, operational and curatorial departments.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Technical and team leadership -
  • Manage the design and project delivery of new modern workplace services.
  • Engage with the Museum to understand how core modern workplace solutions are consumed and make recommendations on how best to improve the end user experience.
  • Provide team leadership, mentoring and support for team members.
• Operational support -
  • Responsible for ensuring the team maintain availability and performance of the Museum's IT modern workplace solutions. Liaising with senior managers, 3rd line colleagues and service delivery staff to ensure ITIL incidents and problems are resolved effectively.
  • Active role in the Change Control and System Architecture processes.
  • Ensure all systems are well maintained, documented, monitored and alerts are responded to appropriately.
• Vendor management -
  • Ensure the IS department maintains excellent functioning relationships with its main software and application suppliers.
  • Manage vendors including: selection processes such as RFP and scorecards to establishing operational SLAs and KPIs.
• Process and policy -
  • Responsible for ensuring the team follow the appropriate policies and procedures to deliver services and change control.
  • Contribute towards operational and project budgeting.

About you:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Technical skills - Cloud SAAS, Microsoft Office 365 (Intune/ Teams/ One Drive/ SharePoint); software management and provisioning; strong 3rd line IT Support and ITIL service delivery; mobile working methodologies; active directory, domain services and GPOs; detailed understand of how IT services are delivered and consumed by the customer; excellent documentation skills.
• Previous work experience as a Senior Applications Analyst or Senior Modern Workplace Engineer.
• Managerial skills - Team leadership either direct reports or during major projects; experience in leading the delivery of application services and change programmes; management and selection of 3rd party suppliers and vendors in delivering application services; proactively engaged with the IT Industry.
• Interpersonal skills - positive communicator and team player; analytical thinker and achievement focused; highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.

Our small, ambitious team works in a collaborative and supportive way. A big focus of the role is prioritisation and planning, so you’ll support the Director of Programmes, Head of Impact & Effectiveness and wider team to prioritise, forward plan, manage diaries and prepare for meetings. This is a great role for someone wanting to develop their administrative experience and exposure to board and executive level working. You will have responsibility for supporting a Trustee level grant making committee. You’ll get exposure to the strategic overview of the Charity and insight into managing teams, grant-making and charity operations. You’ll quickly see the impact you can make within the team to improve our effectiveness and ways of working; and what we’re working to achieve as a charity. 

Maudsley Charity works primarily with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, as well as a range of voluntary and community organisations to fund ideas, big and small, that drive service improvement and support people who experience mental illness.
