We are looking for an experienced manager who understands and is passionate about community and volunteer-led fundraising, who keeps the supporter at the heart of what they do and is focused on delivering results. This role

Smart Works is looking for an experienced and motivated database manager passionate about using data for good. This role will be crucial in managing and developing Smart Works' CRM systems that underpin the running of our key functions, ensuring data integrity, providing support to all users across the UK and enabling strong outcomes for the women we support. The post holder’s work will be essential in allowing staff across the charity to use data to improve our operations and outcomes for the women we support as we enter our new strategy cycle.
You will also play an important role in training and supporting staff across all Smart Works locations to use these systems, enabling them to harness the power of data in their day-to-day work. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff will be vital to the success of this role.
The role will be a hybrid position, based out of one our UK Smart Works centres. but the role will work across Smart Works, providing support and maintaining digital infrastructure across all the teams.

Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign to raise £150m. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing six and seven-figure gifts from High-Net-Worth Individuals.
The Senior Philanthropy Manger will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, the Senior Principal Gifts Manager and the rest of the Philanthropy team, feeding into the overall strategy of high-value partnerships. They will manage a portfolio of funder accounts which deliver long term, high-value strategic partnerships as well as building new relationships.
The Senior Philanthropy Manager will also manage 2 roles – Patrons Manager and a Philanthropy Manager (HNWI and Legacies), with oversight of both the Patrons Programme and Legacy programme.
The Philanthropy team is growing and there will be substantial opportunity for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation.
Main tasks and responsibilities
· Manage a portfolio of prospects, in the UK and abroad, capable of making six and seven-figure gifts.
· Raise income in line with agreed personal and team fundraising targets.
· Working closely with the whole Philanthropy team to coordinate on the overall strategy and targets for maximising philanthropic giving to the NHM.
· Manage a team of 3, which includes line management of a Patrons Manager and Philanthropy Manager (HNWI/Legacies), whilst motivating them to meet key objectives and targets within the overall Philanthropy team.
· Work alongside the Philanthropy team, Special Events team and Corporate team in the preparation of written donor proposals, donor stewardship and the planning and execution of events related to the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors.
· Work independently to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the six and seven-figure level by creating bespoke cultivation and solicitation plans that utilise senior stakeholders effectively.
· Actively solicit funding personally, as well as plan solicitations for senior staff as appropriate.
· Build strong relationships and partner with key staff across NHM in line with our strategic ambitions.
· Prepare written briefings for senior management and with donors and prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.
· Ensure full and timely records of all activity are kept on the database in adherence to set policies and procedures.
· Promote best practice in fundraising across the NHM.
Person Specification
Essential
· Significant fundraising or income generating experience and a proven track record of securing income at the six-figure+ level.
· Demonstrated success in managing a high value and diverse portfolio of major donors that include complex relationships (e.g. interests and relationships across a large organisation).
· Experience of working within a results-oriented environment, with a record of achieving personal KPIs and targets.
· Exceptional written communication skills with an ability to convey detailed or scientific information in a concise and engaging manner.
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills and with proven experience of managing or liaising with either clients, customers or charity donors.
· Proven experience of cross-team working and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
· Good understanding of the process of fundraising.
· Excellent administration and organisation skills, demonstrating the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure.

· Ability to attend early morning and evening events as required, acting as an ambassador for the Natural History Museum.

The Delivery Officer coordinates meetings, events and training on behalf of the region. This includes sourcing of venues, coordinating and tracking attendance of participants, liaising with other teams to ensure the smooth running of events and where necessary, note-taking in meetings and acting as a point of contact for the team, participants and Consultant Social Workers.
This role has a high level of autonomy and the potential for significant skills development. The Delivery Officer is crucial in supporting the work of the wider team by supporting colleagues to ensure the efficient use of resources and scheduling that achieves the smooth delivery of the Approach Social Work Programme across the regional hubs.

- Coordinate and organise meetings and bookings as required, including collating agendas, and taking notes as required.

General Statement of Duties
The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital has a loyal donor base, and we are now able to grow the major donor portfolio significantly to build our long-term sustainable income. The Grants & Partnerships Officer will lead on delivering a best-practice grant-giving programme as part of a wider major donor programme.
Alongside the Executive Head of the UK Office, the Grants & Partnerships Officer will develop new major donors prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies as part of a wider fundraising strategy.

Main Responsibilities

· Know and understand the longer-term financial strategy of the organisation and work with the Finance Director and Executive Head of UK Office to ensure the appropriate identification of funding needs.
· Work with the Executive Head of UK Office and other colleagues as required to develop compelling cases for support and funding packages that channel funds to where the need is greatest and that ensure our financial security.
· Work with the Executive Head of UK Office to manage the grant-getting budget to ensure the successful and cost-effective delivery of annual activities and understand and follow finance related procedures such as income forecasting, reporting and Gift Aid.
· Support and deputise for the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising), as required, to establish and manage strong relationships with past, current, and prospective community donors and partners, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.
· Provide project support as required to the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising) to ensure the successful implementation of community engagement and fundraising programmes.
Person Specification
Essential:
· Educated to degree level or equivalent career experience.
· Minimum of 3-years’ fundraising experience with a demonstrable track record of developing stakeholder and donor relationships with a responsibility for securing a minimum of six-figure gifts from grant-making bodies.
· Experience of working with high-value Trusts & Foundations.
· An exceptional and eloquent communicator, both written and verbal communications skills, and a natural relationship builder, you will have solid experience of presenting, negotiating, networking, and influencing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Senior Operations manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Ops in ensuring we have efficient systems and processes across the organisation and providing support on contracting needs for the businesses. Occasionally we are asked to help support the operational development of our clients. The role will involve:
- Operations oversight (40%)
- To take a systematic view of all operations across the business and make sure we have the correct operational tools, systems and processes in place to support our internal needs as well as delivery of work to our clients.
