Fundraising and Training Coordinator

£24,804 (£19,843 pro-rata) per annum

Our client is looking for a conscientious and organised individual to provide exceptional support as part of their fundraising and training team. You will assist in the coordination of several key projects and ensure professional administrative support is provided to their External Training Lead and the Fundraising Lead. Their External Training team deliver courses like Mental Health First Aid to over 2,000 people per year. In the last five years they have also raised nearly £1m through fundraising, which they are able to invest in key services.  You will be integral in supporting both these areas to achieve their strategy as a charity. In this varied role, no two days will be the same, from supporting at fundraising events, to booking people into training courses or responding to invoicing and finance requests. You’ll feel at ease working on multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to new challenges and providing excellent administrative support 

You’ll have experience within an administration or coordination role, with good IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to manipulate data, export information and present information in a logical format. You’ll be proactive and innovative, demonstrating how to think out of the box to generate new ideas and identify solutions to problems. An excellent communicator, you’ll be able to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring that time critical deadlines are met. You’ll be able to multitask and adapt to changes in the projects or priorities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Senior policy advisor to lead our policy and strategy work on housing finance.

The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. You can find further information about the NHF on our website. 

This role is a crucial and exciting one within our policy team and the wider organisation. You will use your policy and strategy skills to influence national housing policy on behalf of our housing association members. You will build on your existing finance and/or housing knowledge to quickly develop a strong understanding of housing associations and their finances, and will build strong relationships with Finance Directors across our membership. You will use their and your specialist knowledge to shape the policy environment so that housing associations can best deliver on their social purpose.

Working with young people in a variety of educational settings, St. Giles’ SOS+ Service delivers early intervention work, through one-to-one mentoring and preventative sessions on violence, vulnerability and exploitation.  The mission of SOS+ is to prevent children and young people becoming involved in gangs and youth violence by equipping them with tools, knowledge and support delivered by experts with lived experience.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, offering support to up to 20 young people per year, who are identified by local partners as most at need of support.  You will produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, plus deliver a holistic support service, working independently or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will involve providing practical guidance on areas such social and housing support, education, training and employment options, and benefits work.

We will count on you to develop and maintain strong relationships with referral and partner agencies, including police, Youth Offending Teams, Probation, local authorities and social services, while closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a survival plan for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for on-going support is also a key aspect of this role.

What we are looking for

• To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of Greater Manchester
• Experience in negotiation with partner agencies to establish links to further aims of the project
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• Knowledge of the local community, its projects and services available to young people
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

The Role: As Digital Media Coordinator you'll be managing and boosting Encompass Trust’s presence on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X), writing and disseminating newsletters and articles, contributing to donor reports, and keeping our website up to date. About the role

The role sits within a Critical Time Intervention (CTI) team working across Liverpool City Region.

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract, family leave cover

CTI is part of a housing-led response to ending homelessness. CTI is an evidence-based model, designed for times of transition for people who require support to navigate often fragmented systems. It uses a time limited case management approach to support people through a period of transition which works towards preventing and ending homelessness.

The model is strictly time limited and prescriptive in its application and Crisis’ CTI pilot will run close to the CTI principles. The timing of movement through the phases is defined by the Programme model.

CTI consists of four main phases:

1. Pre CTI: in which the relationship with the client is developed and their goals and ambitions are identified, (no timescale – could be days, months or years)
2. Transition:  providing support & beginning to connect client to people and agencies that will assume the primary role of support and enable them to meet their goals (3 months)
3. Try out: monitoring and strengthening support network and client’s skills (3 months)
4. Transfer of care: terminating CTI and stepping right back (3 months)

The post holder will be working within the framework of CTI, supporting prison leavers from prison into accommodation, thus preventing homelessness on release from custody.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering person centred support with statutory and non-statutory services within the criminal justice system, offering coaching and mentoring, learning support and/or personal development training, ideally working to matrix standards.  You will also have an appreciation of delivering this within a time limited framework.

You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals which could include mental illness, addiction, the benefit system and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

West Mercia Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC) has been supporting survivors of all types of sexual abuse and sexual violence for over 35 years and provides a range of services including advocacy, therapy, education and prevention work.
WMRSASC’s vision is to eliminate all forms of sexual violence and the harm they cause. Our mission is to enable those who have been silenced by rape, sexual abuse and exploitation to have a voice; and to make a difference by delivering the best specialist support and prevention services.

The Person

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual to join our team of experienced professionals who are committed to making a difference to the lives of survivors of sexual violence and abuse. You will need to have a background in the sexual violence sector, or a related field, and have the skills to provide non-judgemental trauma informed support. We are seeking a dedicated Front of House Team Leader to join our team at the National Memorial Arboretum.

This role involves supporting the Food Service Manager in leading the food service team to deliver exceptional service and exceed visitor expectations. The successful candidate will implement and uphold service standards as outlined in the Food Services Strategy, ensuring top-tier service, presentation, and cleanliness across our restaurant, coffee shop, and event center. In the absence of the Assistant Food Service Manager, the Front of House Team Leader will step in to oversee operations and maintain service quality.

The Front of House Team Leader will play a crucial role in liaising with the management team, maintaining positive relationships within the NMA, and ensuring front of house staff are knowledgeable about daily offerings. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding Food Service Assistants, resolving customer complaints efficiently, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Additionally, the role involves managing stock and cash, assisting with stock takes, and training staff to deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualified candidates will have proven supervisory experience in a similar role and industry, with a good understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations. Strong interpersonal and IT skills, along with a commitment to the Arboretum's mission and values, are essential. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings is also required. Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community and move towards greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. The position is in Tower Hamlets and consists of one high support building with 20 flats and two low support buildings with 20 lower support flats spread over two sites within close proximity.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Significant experience of undertaking research and due diligence checks within a charity or commercial setting. 
• Experience of using databases and producing data-driven management information reports.
• Familiarity with trust fundraising, bid writing and donor stewardship within a charity setting.
• Proven ability to proactively seek and identify new prospects as well as producing high-quality prospect research on these individuals and foundations.
• Experience of developing bespoke fundraising proposals for trusts and foundations, or grant giving bodies.
