As part of the wider Enterprise team, our Commercial Marketing Assistant will help devise and deliver marketing campaigns and strategies that will grow audiences and increase revenues across our key commercial income streams. The successful candidate will oversee, coordinate, and manage our commercial marketing channels concentrating on finding and developing new partnerships alongside the Head of Enterprise, marketing and promoting our major sites for partnership working with external organisations.

They will:

1. Assist in the production of marketing collateral and material for the B2B market and the promotion of the Champing brand.

2. Work alongside the Communications team to assist in drafting content and key messages for social media, websites and PR, all of which should adhere to CCT brand guidelines. Handle incoming commercial marketing enquiries as appropriate.

3. Liaise with prospective filming enquiries and work with the local teams to help deliver commercial filming contracts.

4. Build positive working relationships, with internal and external stakeholders, to build on existing opportunities, promote and drive engagement with commercial opportunities.

5. Conduct marketing and audience research, to help support and deliver future revenue growth and gather data to report against KPIs and targets.

6. Support in the delivery and wider administration of commercial operations, working with the Enterprise team and freelancers on the ground. The overarching goal will be to grow CCT's commercial revenues.

Job summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Administration

· Maintain all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems outlined in the DSWF Financial Handbook’s processes and controls

· Maintain up to date records on the finance system (Sage 50)

· Monitor and record income from all sources and ensure accurate and timely recording, including fund allocations

· With the fundraising team, ensure accurate and timely recording of income into the Raiser’s Edge CRM

· Daily reconciliation of all bank, control and intercompany accounts to Sage

· Banking of cheques and petty cash control in a timely manner

· Maintain the purchase ledger including receipt of invoices and expense claims, authorisations, cost coding and posting into the Sage system

· Process all bank payments, card payments and direct debits

· With the CFO, provide support to the Conservation team in analysing project financial reports, making grant payments and preparing financial reports for donors

· Liaise with the Art team over the production of sales invoices for the subsidiary Trading company as well as processing of e-commerce and offline sales

· Provide support to the fundraising team in the financial elements of event planning (including hardware and processes for receiving income at events) and producing full financial reconciliations and ROI reporting at the conclusion of each event

· With the CFO, provide support to the fundraising team in producing budgets for applications for funding

· Manage the negotiation of card and transaction fees with payment providers

· Complete month end accounts checklist and relevant journals to trial balance

· With the CFO, prepare monthly management accounts for SMT and staff

· Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for the charity (using partial exemption principles) and the trading subsidiary

· Liaise with the fundraising team to ensure gift aid is maximised for every income stream and produce and submit gift aid claims on a monthly basis

Budget Management

· Support the preparation of the annual income and expenditure budgets

· Ensure income and costs are allocated correctly per agreed budget and highlight areas of variance

Annual Audit

· Preparation of papers for annual audit in conjunction with the CFO

· During audit be the main contact for collating all documentation and samples requested by auditors

Financial control systems

· Ensure financial policies and processes are fit for purpose, developing new ones where appropriate and deriving and implementing improvements to existing ones

About this role:

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Assistant to join the Charity team here at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital. The postholder will work closely with the Philanthropy Support Lead to provide operational support and administration for the team, including events, donor meetings and visits, prospect research, data and use of the charity CRM (Salesforce).

Samaritans is looking for a skilled Delivery Manager to join our Digital Services team. You’ll join a passionate and supportive team of experienced individuals, all with the same common goal – of futureproofing our international digital services footprint. 

We’re rolling out a cutting edge CCAAS platform (Amazon Connect) which is the central digital platform for contact services including online chat and voice). This platform will be used to deliver a phone call every 10 seconds to our 20,000 volunteers, 24/7 hours per day, 365 days per year. Your role will help to reduce the number of people who die by suicide.

You’ll be a strong people manager, understand about rolling out service management frameworks such as an information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) and be familiar with service desk operations and IT service management. You’ll be passionate about understanding all of the integration points across a vast network of carriers, platforms, vendors and quality assurance partners. 

• Fixed term contract until 27 June 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: You’ll lead a group of highly experienced and passionate team mates.

• Procedural Documentation: Collaborate with team members to document current and future processes, develop standard operating procedures, and provide training and support.

• Transitional Preparation: Prepare and maintain documentation for our platform transition, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure seamless knowledge transfer.

• Service Desk Management: Clarify roles, establish procedures, develop a service catalogue and SLAs, and implement KPIs for efficiency.

• Change Management: Coordinate change efforts, develop comprehensive plans, and ensure effective communication and training.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships, facilitate workshops, and keep stakeholders informed of project progress.

The Service Manager will directly link in with both the Head of Partnerships for WithYou and the Sector Manager, as lead providers, to ensure clear communication and a mutually agreed delivery of service. Safeguarding those we provide our services to, sharing your concerns and putting the right interventions in place is key to the success of this role.  You will work with a dedicated team of people, building strong relationships with other agencies to deliver the comprehensive support needed by those using our services. You will lead your team, providing development and clear direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for WithYou externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

What we're looking for

The most important thing you can bring to this role is clear and inspirational leadership. We’re open to discussions with candidates working in leadership roles outside of the drug and alcohol arena - for example, in mental health or housing. We’re most interested in your ability to demonstrate motivational leadership skills, with the drive to promote staff development and retention. You’ll have the support of an exceptional Head of Partnerships and a wider team of experienced and dedicated stakeholders across the organisation.

Working arrangements
