As a marketing executive at Frontline (known internally as a marketing officer) your work will directly impact the success of the charity. You will hold responsibility for creating and optimising content across a wide range of digital channels, to attract leads, increase brand awareness, encourage engagement with our work and drive recruitment to our programmes.

Working closely with the communications and marketing manager, you will help to shape our marketing strategy, and to plan and evaluate marketing campaigns, including our Approach Social Work recruitment campaign. You will need creativity, analytical skills, and extensive knowledge of marketing channels and trends.

The communications and marketing team sits within the wider external relations division. You will work closely with your communications, evaluation, Fellowship and fundraising colleagues to achieve our wider external relations strategy. And you will use your marketing knowledge and skills to support teams across the entire charity to create engaging communications that are on-brand and achieve results.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate, implement and evaluate multi-channel marketing campaigns to support programme recruitment and fundraising, using emails, social media, website, display ads and more.
• Write and edit copy for a wide range of audiences and contexts.
• Use content creation tools such as Canva and video editing software to create high quality content that supports wider objectives.
• Evaluate and optimise digital content, including Frontline’s website, to improve performance.

This role will suit someone with excellent writing and editing skills, wanting to contribute their experience and knowledge to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to create and deliver tailored content as part of successful marketing campaigns.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) exists to relieve the suffering of British wildlife, to encourage respect and tolerance for wildlife and to further its conservation. SWWR strives to do this by:

· providing a public rescue, rehabilitation, and release service for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife.

· providing a learning and outreach programme, public education, and access to a unique wildlife experience.

· disseminating information and data, delivering professional training, and helping conservation projects, to improve knowledge and raise standards of wildlife care across the UK.

To maximise the potential funding available for Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR), particularly through obtaining grants from trusts, foundations, local authorities and other sources.

This role will also be responsible for enhancing the reach and value of legacy fundraising at SWWR and building strong relationships with corporate supporters to help secure the financial sustainability of the Charity. 

Our Fundraising Manager is responsible for planning and preparing all fundraising and grants working alongside all departments to ensure projects are fulfilled from inception to fruition. The post holder takes care of medium- to long-term activities,  budgeting, planning and strategy, as well as being responsive to emerging opportunities and adapting to change. The Fundraising Manager is also the main point of contact for new and existing supporters, providing support and stewardship to the amazing individuals and organisations who want to help wildlife.

Alongside the above, the Fundraising Manager will also provide support to the current fundraising personnel and activities at SWWR, coordinating and supporting a range of tasks and functions to aid in the smooth running of the Charity. 

Fundraising is integrated into every part of SWWR’s operations. The Fundraising Manager works closely with colleagues in Education, Retail, Events, Finance, Volunteering, and Wildlife Care to understand their needs and provide support to aid in the smooth running of the Charity.

SWWR’s annual operational costs are approximately £900,000. The majority of funding is raised through supporter donations, fundraising events, trading activities and legacies.

Job Summary

This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.

PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. This has led to an increased number of referrals with a focus on employment, an expansion of our in-house social enterprise capacity, and more employers keen to work alongside us to diversify their staff base.

This role for us is the next step in doing so, allowing us to increase our job coaching capacity and providing more dedicated resource for students on their employment journey. Frazzled Cafe is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet on a regular basis to talk and share their personal stories. 

We run our free meetings online every single day of the year for anyone who needs them, and anyone can book and be included to talk, share, listen and to feel heard.

As part of our exciting plans for growth, we are seeking a Development Manager to lead on the organisation’s fundraising and communications to fulfil our mission and play a key role in supporting the next phase of Frazzled Cafe’s growth and development.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy with a range of fundraising activities focusing primarily on trusts and foundations but also individual donors, corporate partners and fundraising campaigns. You will also lead on creating a communications strategy to significantly grow our reach, brand and impact. Working with our Training and Programmes Manager, you will support our plans to expand our network of fantastic Volunteer Facilitators. 

This is an exciting, creative and flexible opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrable successful track record in fundraising, alongside the skills of a talented and persuasive communicator and relationship builder. They will be creative, solution focussed, willing to get stuck in and have good humour.

MAIN TASKS

Fundraising

● Lead on developing and delivering an annual fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for growth, securing a minimum of £250k per year from Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, fundraising events and campaigns, and corporate partnerships.

● Research and generate a pipeline of funding applications, including multi-year grant opportunities from Trusts and Foundations

● Lead on writing compelling applications and conversations with funders, talking persuasively and informatively about Frazzled Cafe’s work and impact

● Work with the CEO and trustees to develop new relationships with individual donors and strengthen partnerships with existing supporters

● Work with the CEO and Head of Training and Programmes to develop new opportunities for corporate sponsorship and partnerships

● Lead on organising fundraising events such as dinners with major funders and initiate and develop other opportunities for fundraising.

● Lead on Frazzled Cafe’s annual Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign and identify any other fundraising campaign opportunities throughout the year, with support from the Project Support and Administration Officer

● Prepare regular reports and updates for our funders, engaging them with our work and the impact of their support

● Ensure that Frazzled Cafe’s fundraising work is GDPR compliant and meets best practice standards.

Marketing and Communications

● Lead on the development of Frazzled Cafe’s first communications strategy to drive awareness and demand, grow our audiences and scale our impact.

● Work with the Project Support and Administration Officer to manage Frazzled Cafe’s socials, newsletters and website, growing engagement across all our channels

● Work with the Head of Training and Programmes to develop a communications strategy to attract and recruit more Volunteer Facilitators and attendees for our programme

● Help deliver Frazzled Cafe’s rebrand with external agency and lead on ensuring consistency in messaging across the organisation

● Lead on developing a suite of resources and materials that can be used to promote our services

● Work with and support the Project Support and Administrative Officer to capture and interpret data from our communications to maximise impact

● Bring innovative ideas to promote the charity externally to develop a national brand and awareness of what Frazzled Cafe offers.

Other:

● Work with and support the Project Support and Administrative Officer in relevant fundraising and communications tasks, delegating where appropriate.

● Participation in other projects/initiatives as required as a core member of the management team

● Work with the CEO and team to develop innovative and compelling ways to articulate the impact Frazzled Cafe has on its community

● Develop and maintain appropriate databases for recording our fundraising and communications work

Person Specification:

● Proven experience of successfully developing and implementing a fundraising strategy

● Demonstrable experience in a communications, or similar, role

● A demonstrable track record in writing successful funding applications and securing funds, including multi-year grants, from grant-making organisations

● Outstanding written and verbal communication skills demonstrating ability to produce persuasive and compelling copy and content

● A natural relationship builder with ability to influence and negotiate at all levels

● Competence and knowledge using communication tools and platforms  (Frazzled Cafe currently uses X, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn; Canva, Squarespace and Mailchimp)

● Strategic thinker and ability to turn ideas into action

● Pragmatic, project management approach to work and ability to meet regular, competing deadlines

● Excellent attention to detail and a positive, can do attitude

● Will have attended at least two Frazzled Cafe meetings ahead of the interview to understand our approach.

Start date:  As soon as possible (subject to Enhanced DBS Check and satisfactory references).

Salary:  £25,496 - £27,845 per annum, pro rata. 

Contract: This is a 9 month maternity cover contract, with strong possibility of extension to 12 months. 

Hours: 21 hours per week.

Place of work: CARA premises in Colchester and some remote home working if a suitable environment is available.  Some travel to other locations in Essex may be required, particularly during the induction period.

Holiday: 25 days per year, pro-rata, plus additional closure days between Christmas and New Year.

Job Description

The First Contact Navigators play a central role in the CARA team, ensuring that our service users and other agencies receive a high-quality service from the moment of first contact. You will work as part of a wider team of First Contact Navigators across Essex and the post liaises with clients, the CARA team and external agencies, providing advice, support and information. 

The First Contact Navigator will engage with individuals who are experiencing, or who have experienced, sexual violence and or sexual abuse who require information, signposting and short-term support.  You will be the first contact and conduct first meetings, managing your own caseload and co-ordinating personalised support for individuals on their pathway to wellbeing. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will support people who use CARA services to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, maximising their independence and engaging in appropriate community or clinical resources. You will work collaboratively with service users, the CARA team and other professional agencies to navigate and coordinate services.

The main responsibilities of the post are:

• To act as a first point of contact for new referrals and enquiries, providing information, emotional support, advice and signposting.

• To complete first contact calls and assessments with clients over the telephone. 

• To ensure information about new referrals/enquiries is accurately recorded on CARA’s database in real time.

• To work collaboratively and build trust with service users, agencies, personal and professional support networks to collate relevant information to effect individualised support requirements.

• To assess and engage service users not currently engaged in appropriate specialist sexual violence services.

• To seek and respond to referrals from a variety of internal and external sources.

• To assist survivors and relatives/supporters of survivors in understanding the range of resources and services available to them.

• To support service users to engage effectively with appropriate services to meet their individual needs and aspirations.

• To work as a link between clients, CARA staff and external agencies, ensuring appropriate information is passed on. 

• To work closely with the Essex-wide team of First Contact Navigators and Information and Referral Coordinators to ensure effective referral processes across Essex.

• To act as a point of contact for external agencies making referrals to CARA, answering queries about our referral process.

• To cover the enquiry line and the office phone and deal with enquiries as required. 

• To pro-actively promote CARA’s services to external agencies, ensuring they are aware of our referral procedures.

• To contribute to development of promotional information, to ensure information about the referral process is clear and accessible.

• To attend regular team meetings and to work with colleagues to further the objectives of CARA.

• To adhere in full to all CARA’s organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding procedures.

• To report to the Service Development Manager, Head of Operations, CEO and Trustees as required, including the production of regular written reports.

About Synergy Essex

CARA is part of Synergy Essex – the Essex Rape and Sexual Abuse Partnership.   We work closely with SERICC Rape and Sexual Abuse Specialist Service and Southend-on-Sea Rape Crisis (SOS Rape Crisis) to deliver the contract for the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex for services for victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse across Essex.

Personal Specification

Essential

• Minimum of 1 year (Advisor) or 2 years (Senior Advisor) of full-time experience of providing 1-1 specialist legal advice and information on housing and welfare benefits.
• Experience of working to strict deadlines and managing a heavy caseload.
• Experience of supporting asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.
• Knowledge/ experience of working in the not-for-profit sector.
• Understanding of key recent and upcoming changes on housing, benefits and other relevant legislations and the effects of these on our clients.

The Role:

As the Director of Finance and Resources, you will:

• Provide strategic direction for the finance function, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practices.

We’re looking for a qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (ROVI) to work for an important charity offering a wide variety of services to vision-impaired people across Cheshire, Halton, and North Wales.
 

Position: Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (ROVI)

Location: Home based with regular travel across Wrexham, with the requirement to work from the Council Offices and company offices on occasion

About the role:

As Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, you will identify, deliver and evaluate professional rehabilitation interventions to vision impaired people to enhance their skills and confidence to maximise their independence.

You will provide a person-centred outcome-focussed approach to rehabilitation; supporting people to identify measurable outcomes, carry out assessments and develop a plan that will support each person to achieve their outcomes and meet their needs, reducing risks and lessening the impact of their VI.

The Vision Rehabilitation Specialist will work collaboratively with other services within the organisation to ensure individuals are receiving support whilst waiting for assessment and rehabilitation.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Triage – To carry out an initial conversation, in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act, to identify further actions, and risk factors, refer and signpost to the organisation’s wider services and other organisations to meet the individuals’ desired outcomes.
• Assessment - To undertake specialist VI assessments with the person to identify their needs and aspirations to promote independent living.
• Plan – To agree a plan with the person about how their needs can be met, through other services, equipment and rehabilitation.
• Rehabilitation and service provision – To implement, evaluate and review rehabilitative services to the vision-impaired person aimed at maximising and maintaining independence, safety, dignity, and choice.  Rehabilitation may include, but not be restricted to:
  • Daily Living Skills – to include the teaching of new skills or adapted practice for all aspects of daily living, home management, employment and leisure.

• Communication Skills – to include all forms of access to communication including but not limited to print, Braille, Moon, audio description, ICT, telephones, Deafblind manual and block alphabet.

• Mobility training – To develop planned programmes of training to develop independence in indoor and outdoor mobility environments, including training in guiding skills, pre-cane, long cane, orientation (including specialist equipment) and route planning techniques. 

• Low vision - To provide training/therapy in coordination with local NHS low vision services that help individuals make the best use of functional vision.

• Risk –To identify, assess and mitigate risk throughout the rehabilitation provision.

• To work with vision-impaired people who have additional complex needs.
• To assess and recommend minor works of adaptation and liaise with all relevant parties in line with appropriate budgets and policies.
• To provide statistical information to feed into quarterly contract monitoring reports.
• To enable the Local Authority to maintain their Partially Sighted/Sight Impaired and Blind/Severely Sight Impaired Registers.

Key skills required for this role:

• Foundation Degree in Rehabilitation Studies (Visual Impairment) or equivalent.
• Ability to develop clear plans and communicate these to service users and other staff.
• Recognised rehabilitation work qualification (or currently working towards it)
• Proven experience in performing rehabilitation assessments with visually impaired people and providing mobility, communication and daily living skills training.
• Working knowledge of good practice relating to safeguarding.
• Ability to deliver training/advice sessions to individuals or groups of service users, carers and other organisations.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including lone worker policies.

Offering a wide variety of services for vision-impaired people across Cheshire, Halton and North Wales, including counselling, digital skills, financial wellbeing and benefits advice, home visiting, community outreach, and peer support. These services complement rehabilitation to create a wraparound service for our clients. 

The organisation delivers the vision rehabilitation contracts to four local authorities across Northeast Wales. The team are managed and led by qualified and experienced Vision Rehabilitation Specialists (VRS), ensuring the best support from people who understand the role. You would be a part of a wider team of VRSs, meeting regularly to share learning and to give and receive support.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Philanthropy Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and sevenfigure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Major Donors, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.

In thisrole, you will be pivotal in our Development Team, directly reporting to the Head of Development. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK's most prominent philanthropists. Your objective will be to achieve targets by proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with major donors and channelling their interests towards our key projects (medical research, patient and staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment, and 'the area of greatest need.'

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development- The post holder will manage philanthropic income and secure an annual income of £500k+ towards the total Development team target of £1.5m. The Philanthropy Manager will manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of, five, six and seven figures gifts.
• Management—Responsible for managing an established prospect pool and identifying new donors while effectively reporting against income projections. Demonstrate potential for line management capabilities, with the opportunity for supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.
• Governance and Compliance- ensuring philanthropic giving complies with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management—Working with the Head of Development, I am responsible for managing philanthropic income and expenditures to meet an individual target.
• External Relations and Communications- working with the Head of Development and the Marketing & Communications Team, supporting corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency in relation to major donor giving.

Location 

This position can be based either in our co-working space in the Netherlands (Utrecht) or London (near Liverpool Street). The position is hybrid, and applicants are expected to commute to either the Utrecht (NL) or London (UK) office at least once per week.
