As an Apprenticeship Adviser, you will:

• Deliver both virtual and face to face presentations to students from small groups to larger assemblies to raise awareness of apprenticeships, and other technical education routes.
• Deliver bespoke sessions to students in supporting them to register and apply for apprenticeships.
• Deliver awareness raising sessions to parents, teachers and local stakeholders.
• Support the coordination and booking of school events, working with teachers and careers advisors to assess their school/college apprenticeship delivery to date.
• Work proactively with key partners and stakeholders promoting CXK across the region.

You will:

• Have some experience and knowledge of the work-based learning sector and wider routes into Apprenticeships. Full training and support will be given to build on experience/up-date knowledge.
• Have planned, delivered, and evaluated virtual and face to face sessions engaging students, teachers and parents.
• Have a network of stakeholders and partners across the region to enhance the support to schools, colleges and partners.
• Have a proven track record of successfully working towards targets and KPIs.
• Be able to engage confidently and sensitively with schools at a range of levels of seniority up to and including head teacher level.
• Be an articulate and confident communicator who has experience of presenting to and engaging with an audience of children/young people.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• To effectively plan and deliver an employability curriculum whilst embedding functional skills (Entry 3-Level 2) and/or delivering maths and English qualifications at these levels. 
• Provide engaging teaching sessions that promote skilsl development and independence in the workplace.
• Implement appropriate assessment, target setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of the progress of the interns. 
• Identify interns skills to enable them to participate in a variety of work-based tasks to build marketable, competitive skills leading to employment. 
• Collaborate with the employers (Gardeners and Charity Shops) to create meaningful internship opportunities and facilitate successful work placements.
• To work alongside job coaches to perform specific workplace analysis, job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities
• To seek appropriate future employment consistent with the interns interests and skills 
• As a personal tutor, be responsible for the emotional and social welfare of the interns. 
• Work with parents, local authorities and other supported internship stakeholders to support the progression of the interns

About the Role

The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife.  Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.

No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.

Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.

About the role: as School Membership Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to combine flexible working from home with hands-on delivery of impactful programmes in schools, supporting our members.

About the Role:

The Assessment Coordinator is the conduit for young people to access the youth accommodation pathway in Greenwich.  As well as triage and intake, the role supports young people by navigating their journey either by facilitating their safe return home, or into longer term suitable supported accommodation.

You will provide specialist assessment and interventions for a designated caseload. You will provide mediation where needed and advise/ facilitate restorative work with the young person and their family. 

About you:

• You have two years’ experience of assessing the needs of young people in a residential/ accommodation setting. 
• Proven experience and skills in delivering casework and planned support for young people. 
• A strong understanding and practical knowledge relating to issues that typically disrupt progress in journeys towards independence.  E.g. mental health, substance use, self-harm, domestic violence, anger management etc 
• Evidence an ability to navigate between and across specialties whilst working with clients to create a multi-agency support plan. 
• The ability to work within systems and families, to enable young people (that can) to return home.

Scope of the Job

The Finance Officer at Alfanar will play a crucial role in delivering an effective and efficient finance function across the organization's group structure. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer will be supporting various financial tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash and reserves management, accounting processes, and financial risk mitigation. The role requires a focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and development to ensure high-performance standards and exceptional finance services for Alfanar's teams.

Reports to: Head of Finance

Main Responsibilities

· Manage all receivables and payables following agreed processes and ensure timely payment.

· Prepare monthly payroll and set up salary payments

· Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis

· Producing Monthly Management Accounts with the help of the finance system and Excel templates.

· Review donor reports prepared by the country office for accuracy and cost allocation

· Claim gift aid on a regular basis

· Support organisation budget and proposal budget process.

· Support organisational audit process.

· Any other duties as agreed by the Head of Finance.

Financial accounting

· Be an integral part of ensuring effective and efficient financial control environment across Alfanar’s group structure

· Operate key financial controls including balance sheet schedules, intercompany and income reconciliations

· Support the continuing develop of effective financial management procedures, increasing automation and efficiency

· Ensure accurate and complete records for restricted funds

· Active involvement in payroll to ensure an accurate and up to date payroll

· Manage the payments process using Xero financial software ,review and set up payments at the bank

· Support Head of Finance in developing and implementing  Finance processes across the Alfanar group.

· Ensure Alfanar is up to date and compliant with its statutory duties relating to Payroll, Pensions, VAT , Corporation Tax and  other statutory submissions.

Reporting

● Support Head of Finance with the preparation of  annual accounts in line with financial reporting standards, including consolidation of future group entities, ready for Audit.

● Support Head of Finance during organisation’s external audit

● Liaise with external accountants, including on all filing requirements

● Prepare financial information for the trustees annual report and liaise with the communications function on presentation

Financial management reporting and finance business partnering

● Support budgeting and reforecasting process led by Head of Finance. Ensure relevant team members receive guidance notes and documentation in relation to the budget and forecast processes and templates

● Manage the month end close procedure, including preparing journals to record the required accruals and fund transfers

● Prepare, review and analyse management accounts, seek variance explanations, prepare commentary and summaries based on budget holder responses, and ensure management understand any required actions.

● Continue to develop monthly management reports and budget Vs actual reports for budget holders.

● Work with the fundraising team to ensure that income data flows are documented, and finance and fundraising metrics are clearly defined and accurately calculated and reported

Tax, cash, risk and reserves management and group operations

● Working with the Head of Finance, manage, review and improve Alfanar’s (online) banking arrangements and relationships, across the group structure

● Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and requirements and ensure appropriate cash management and transfers across the group structure.

● Should it be required, support with Alfanar’s registration for VAT, set up and operate the required changes to the accounting systems, and prepare and file VAT returns, including other entities within the VAT group

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

● Experience of supporting in accounting, payments, transaction processing, financial reporting, tax, and cash management with international operations ideally in a growing group.

● Experience of automating financial processes and developing  reporting functionality from accounting systems

● Knowledge and experience of using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.

● Experience of providing financial management support/business partnering to managers/budget holders, who may not have a financial background.

● Qualified affiliate accountant or working towards a qualification (UK ACA, CIMA, ACCA ,AAT or equivalent)

● Knowledge of data protection legislation, risk management and other governance regulations including confidentiality.

Desired

● Bachelor or Master's degree in accounting or finance.

● Experience in Finance Function in a not-for-profit setting, whether gained in a paid or voluntary capacity

Experience of working with high volume payment processing supplier systems and integrating the associated data flows into internal databases

● Knowledge of UK requirements for accounting for restricted funds

● Willingness to travel to the MENA region, if needed

Lisieux Trust is a registered charity learning disability based in Birmingham, dedicated to enriching the lives of learning disabled adults and adults on the autism spectrum. About You

Essential Criteria:

• You are an experienced Chief Executive with a passion for leading charitable organisations and driving social impact, ideally with prior knowledge of the social care sector and/or supported living services.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrable experience in managing change, coaching, and developing teams.
• Empathy and understanding, with a personal commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities.

Desirable:

• Experience in property and estates management.
• Knowledge of CQC standards, the Care Act 2014, and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

We are looking for a Bank Nurse to join our Cancer Awareness in the Workplace (CAW) team. You'll join a team of Bank Nurses that provides vital contingency cover where needed to Cancer Research UK's nurse-led face-to-face cancer awareness and health promotion activity across the UK.

In this role, you'll inform and empower people to make positive changes for their health and promote early diagnosis through providing face-to-face information in hard-to-reach audiences.

What will I be doing?

• Face-to-face delivery of the latest cancer prevention and early detection information in an appropriate and relevant way

• Delivering face to face cancer awareness activities for people at their place of work with our Cancer Awareness in the Workplace team - typically health information stands and occasionally short presentations

• Providing cover on the Cancer Awareness Roadshow, working alongside a small team to engage the public in indoor and outdoor community settings through individual face-to-face conversations

• Supporting other cancer awareness activities and Cancer Research UK events

• Representing Cancer Research UK in a positive and professional way and ensure that all information shared is in line with CRUK's core messages

• Responsible for collecting and inputting data for evaluation purposes and contributing to other general feedback

• Ensuring familiarity with local stats and local health information sheets to tailor activity and enable effective signposting to local services.

What skills are you looking for?

• Registered Adult Nurse - NMC registration is mandatory for this role and must always be maintained

• An interest in or experience of at least one of the following: health promotion, practice nursing, occupational health, health visiting, district/community nursing or other qualification/experience

• Excellent verbal communication skills - an ability to engage people in conversation and to use motivational interviewing techniques while ensuring accuracy of information conveyed

• Strong oral presentation skills, with the ability to convey clear and accurate information confidently and pitched appropriately for the audience

• A clear, demonstrable understanding of boundaries and of the importance and need for always adhering to data protection and other compliance policies

• Experience in delivering public-facing work, and a good understanding of the challenges associated with engaging hard to reach groups and addressing health inequalities

• Excellent written, administration and organisation skills with the ability to keep accurate confidential records

• Willingness to travel, including occasional unsocial hours work or overnight stays.

Location: Homebased. 
An opportunity for you to drive forward excellence in planning and risk within our Dementia Support & Partnerships, a large and multi-faceted directorate, featuring over 1100 employees and 2000 volunteers; all working to make a difference for those affected by dementia.   

This role is responsible for the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the directorate’s planning and risk management processes and systems.  Ensuring successful oversight and monitoring of these plans and identification and management of risks and resources related to our services, corporate partnerships functions and practice and compliance functions.  
 
The role holder will be responsible for:

- Leading on the development of business planning with responsibility for effectively managing, reporting, and monitoring on progress against directorate and functional level plans, and understanding how these plans translate into the charity’s strategic priorities and objectives. 
- Responsible for early detection of challenges, resource, capacity issues arising in forward plans, offering solutions, and contributing to directorate improvement planning. 
- Monitoring and reporting on risk registers and mitigations; working with the leadership teams to identify risks and future mitigating activities through planning processes.  
- Supporting early planning, coordination, and communication of findings related to internal audits applicable to the directorate; supporting with the development and monitoring of relevant improvement plans.  
- Development and reporting of measurable targets and performance indicators.  

About you
You will have experience of developing and monitoring multi-faceted business planning and risk processes, you will be competent and confident in leading and project managing this process working collaboratively with teams and senior leaders. Experienced in developing, analysing and using data insights and measures to inform performance against plan and future vision.

Main Roles

• To provide advice and casework at OISC Level 2/3 on immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• To provide supervision to Immigration Volunteer

Specific Duties

• Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• Adhere to casework procedures as outlined in LRMN’s policies, the OISC and / or Solicitors Regulations Authority (SRA) standards and the Advice Quality Standards (AQS).
• Interview and advise clients regarding immigration and asylum law procedure, and practice in a sensitive and professional manner.
• Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with OISC registration or similar professional body, e.g SRA.
• Keep up to date at all times with changes in the law by reading and attending training events relating to asylum and immigration.
• To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using Advice Pro as appropriate and as required by management.
• Advocate on behalf of clients by telephone, letter and email with appropriate agencies.
• Produce reports to meet funder’s and LRMN requirements.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager and/or external evaluator in gathering data and information to produce accurate monitoring and evaluation reports.
• To assist the LRMN in liaising with its partners, funders and to provide statistical information and updates as required.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager in reviewing files and ensure that corrective actions are undertaken.
• Provide regular supervision to Iimmigration volunteers.
• Allocate immigration tasks appropriate volunteers’ knowledge and skills.
• Keep records of supervision meetings with immigration volunteers
