Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support to women and those assigned female at birth with endometriosis, for example through our website and information leaflets, and via our local support groups, Helpline and online forum. We are seeking a Policy & Public Affairs Officer who will drive forward the organisation’s policy and public affairs work, securing key policy recommendations from the 'Every second counts' report across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Influence policy and legislation to ensure everyone across the devolved nations has the skills to save a life.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate strategies for specific areas of policy and stakeholder engagement work, including influencing decision-makers, building and strengthening support among key regional and national stakeholders in the devolved nations.
- Lead on a number of policy and stakeholder events and activities, which could include in-depth research and writing of policy analyses.
- Write Parliamentary questions; briefings for parliamentary debates; briefings for individual MPs and internal briefings as and when needed.
- Manage Policy & Public Affairs customer relationship management systems, regularly reporting on external engagement processes.
- Rally MPs / and or Peers to support any amendments to Bills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and prepare proactive and reactive policy communications.
- Develop and oversee the effective monitoring of parliamentary activity in the devolved nations.
- Build new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with spads, think tanks, offices of Parliamentarians, All Party Parliamentary Groups.
- Draft high-quality policy-related paperwork, such as relevant public/private consultation and inquiry responses, parliamentary briefs, media responses and official correspondence.
- Coordinate the building and maintaining of policy stakeholder relationships, including with partner organisations and other stakeholders; working to ensure that the voices of a broad intersection of communities are heard in the work we do.

The Head of Operations and Development will work as part of the Senior Management Team, which includes the Director and the Head of Policy & Advocacy, to ensure ENS's continued success and growth. The role demands a high level of aptitude, leadership, flexibility, initiative, and commitment.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and developing ENS's strategic and operational planning, monitoring implementation, financial management, fundraising, and organisational development. About the Role:
As part of this new role as Legacy Officer, you will support the administration of UK and international legacy gifts, from notification to final distribution. You will help manage a growing caseload and ensure compliance with legal and organisational policies.
Additionally, you will assist in expanding our legacy giving programme in new international markets, working closely with global teams to support strategies that maximise legacy income across different regions. You will also play a role in forecasting legacy income, conducting estate reviews, and preparing detailed reports to inform strategic decisions. Collaboration will be essential, as you will work closely with the Legacy Marketing Manager, Legacy Administrator and global fundraising teams to align legacy administration with broader fundraising initiatives. Additionally, you will help maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executors, solicitors, and international colleagues, to ensure the smooth administration of legacy gifts.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally need experience in UK legacy administration, and preferably also within an international context. You should have a proven ability to manage and coordinate a complex caseload of legacy gifts, ensuring compliance and maximising income. Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with attention to detail in reporting, and excellent literacy and communication skills are essential. You’ll have the ability to work effectively within a global organisation, understanding cross-cultural dynamics and regional legal frameworks.
You’ll be able to build and maintain good relationships with executors, solicitors, and other key internal and external stakeholders.
It would also be advantageous if you also have a passion for global animal welfare issues, as well as experience with First Class and Salesforce CRM systems, although training can be provided for the successful candidate.

The main duties of the role
Working with the Chief Development Officer and Assistant Director of Development to oversee the charity’s fundraising operations, including:
- Leading the day-to-day active oversight and coordination of the charity’s fundraising operations (eg the management of prospect research and prioritisation, managing workflows, solicitation planning, ensuring effective stewardship of supporters, tracking and monitoring funding)
- Along with the Chief Development Officer and other members of the team, leading on fundraising bids, and supporting the fundraising team in their preparation of compelling and high-quality applications
- Supporting the fundraising team in the effective management and prioritisation of its prospect pipelines
- Ensuring effective solicitation planning across the team, from researching potential donors and the development of donor relationships, through to the design and implementation of solicitation and stewardship strategies
- Senior oversight within the fundraising team over the charity’s fundraising from Trusts and Foundations
- Ensuring effective stewardship of supporters is maintained and developed across the team
- Tracking and monitoring of funding, working closely with the finance team and ensuring that accurate records are maintained
- Coordination of the Trustee and Development working group meetings on fundraising, and implementation of agreed actions
- Managing a portfolio of strategic funders including high-net-worth donors, university partners and family foundations
- Taking on a leadership role on targeted fundraising campaigns, in particular in conjunction with university partners for multiple centres
- Working with the data protection team to ensure fundraising activities meet data protection requirements
- Developing and maintaining a donor communications plan
- Coordination of fundraising requests to the Senior Management Team
- Senior oversight of events, encompassing both fundraising initiatives and maximisation of stakeholder engagement and fundraising

The role: overview
Global Canopy is seeking an experienced and effective Data Systems Lead at a moment of very rapid growth and ongoing opportunity for the organisation as we implement our 2023-2030 strategy to end market impacts on nature.
This newly created role is an exciting opening for a motivated individual with strong technical expertise to build out and support the expansion of Global Canopy’s world-leading environmental data into systems that will support our key audiences, particularly in the finance sector, to eliminate deforestation.
