Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business & Enterprise Coach to join our Community Investment Team, based either from our Basingstoke or Bristol office, working hybrid in the office and from home

Why you'll love this role

You'll provide employment coaching, support, advice and guidance to residents interested in exploring self-employment opportunities or those looking to start, grow or maintain a business.

Using a blended approach of developing, commissioning and delivering high quality business and enterprise support for our residents you'll successfully support enterprise and assist in the delivery of the Thriving Communities Strategy.

You'll need to have in-depth knowledge of the business support landscape and the ability to advise and support small businesses and self-employed individuals on the range of options available. This will include a blended approach of delivering 1:1 support, offering group learning and workshops and working in collaboration with partners.

To be successful you'll need the following:

  • Proven experience in providing business and enterprise support to customer
  • A background in developing and delivering resources and support in self-employment and business start-up
  • A strong understanding of and provide information and support for finance, funding and grants relating to self-employment and enterprise
  • Ability to build relationships and develop commissioned opportunities with partners & relevant networks
  • A proactive approach to ensure you keep up to date with national, regional and local business support initiatives

Please note interview dates:

  • Stage 1 – 29th August (Teams)
  • Stage 2 – 4th September (in-person)
