The Charity care for seriously ill children and young adults, and their families and are an incredible support to them on good days, bad days and last days. They provide respite care as well as family support. Nursing and medical staff provide individualised nursing care that helps to enhance short lives and this really is an incredibly rewarding role.

The role

As Head of Fundraising you will be responsible for leading a team of six fundraisers as well as working very closely with the Director of Fundraising to devise and implement a fundraising strategy and plan. You will be responsible for leading across income streams with a focus on Corporate, regional major gift, trust and foundation and legacy fundraising activity.

You will be responsible for building relationships both externally and internally as well as providing an excellent level of service to supporters on behalf of the Trust, managing fundraising relationships and providing an exceptional level of stewardship.

About You

It is essential that you are experienced in fundraising and have led a fundraising team. You will have had experience across income streams and also be innovative in your approach to fundraising. You will have worked towards financial targets and also had good experience in analysing data.

This role is a hybrid role and will be based near Winchester a minimum of three days per week. You must be a car driver. • Someone who will support the success of the Regional Fundraising team by coordinating programmes of work, projects and ways of working to create better collaboration and consistency across the team, enabling us to meet our team objectives of securing sustainable income.

• Someone who can monitor and take ownership of all regular Regional Processes e.g. Monthly reporting, basic database (CARE) checks/reporting, risk assessment process, setting up team meetings.

Fundraising Officer

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for executing Pro Bono Economics’ (PBE) fundraising strategy under the Director of Development’s guidance. Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Fundraising strategy implementation: Deliver PBE’s multi-year fundraising strategy to expand and diversify income from major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and research institutions

Experience

• Experience working with research-driven organisations is a plus, as is familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.

The Vacancy

The Programme Development Manager is committed to supporting colleagues and partners in programme design and development. The team also connects programmatic issues and global policy and advocacy to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground.

Saferworld’s income is secured primarily from statutory and institutional donors; however, securing funding to support our partners in conflict-affected countries and allow for more flexible programming increasingly requires a more diverse funding base. The Programme Development Manager will support efforts to identify and secure funds from statutory donors, trusts and foundations, and other non-traditional funding mechanisms.

The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes. The successful applicant will have a focus of approximately 4 countries, which will be decided based on the candidate’s experience and preference. Working closely with Country Managers/Directors, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme development processes (including taking the lead in drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies and donor engagement strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for growing institutional funding portfolios in our programmes.

The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Government (USG)/United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Additional experience in mobilising resource from trusts and foundations and other non-traditional funding mechanisms is desirable.

They will have proven skills and experience in programme management and support, successful programme design processes and bid leadership.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Community Fundraising marketing team, including development, performance management and ongoing support to foster a motivated and high performing team. You will project manage a range of marketing campaigns across Community Fundraising through multiple channels, including digital, telephone, face-to-face, and print, while monitoring their effectiveness.

A key aspect of your role will involve analysing data to inform marketing strategies aimed at increasing supporter numbers and enhancing retention. You will also develop engaging marketing materials, such as the Community Events Diary, involving stakeholders, planning content, and measuring success.

Your attention to detail will be vital as you maintain accurate records in our CRM database while adhering to GDPR regulations. Staying informed about marketing trends will enable you to implement best practices in all fundraising activities.

What are we looking for?

Experience in fundraising or marketing and sales. You will have the ability to lead, develop, and support a successful team, helping them reach their full potential while being responsive to their needs.

Management experience is essential, including the skills to motivate and coach others. A solid understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles will be crucial in your role.

You should have a proven track record of meeting recruitment targets and managing expenditure budgets. Experience in achieving ambitious income targets is important. Strong analytical skills are necessary for interpreting and presenting statistical information effectively.

About the role

The Digital Fundraising Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy team, responsible for planning, implementing, and optimising digital fundraising campaigns in the UK and US. This role will drive revenue growth through online channels, including email campaigns, social media, website fundraising, and other digital initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital fundraising tactics, a creative mindset, and the ability to analyse data to make informed decisions.

You’ll report to our Head of Fundraising - setting your strategy, reporting on whether plans and income are on track, and discussing how you’re dealing with any financial shortfalls, with a mindset focused on significantly expanding our unrestricted income streams.

In 2024/25 the Fundraising Team is aiming to raise circa £1.9m – a critical element of Restless Development’s overall income of around £10m, the rest of which primarily comes from institutional funders and trusts/ foundations and is restricted to particular programmatic work.

Key responsibilities

• Digital Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives. Identify key digital fundraising opportunities and implement strategies to optimise online giving.
• Email Marketing: Create and manage email campaigns, including crafting compelling content, designing engaging emails, segmenting lists, and conducting A/B testing to increase donor engagement and conversions.
• Social Media Fundraising: Oversee social media fundraising campaigns, leveraging platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to drive donations and supporter engagement.
• Website Fundraising: Manage and improve the online donation process on the organisation's website, ensuring an easy and secure donation experience for supporters.
• Content Development: Collaborate with the Communications team (including a Digital Communications Manager counter-part) to create persuasive fundraising content, such as donation appeals, impact stories, and success narratives to inspire supporters.
• Donor Engagement: Foster relationships with existing donors through personalised online interactions, stewardship emails, and recognition activities.
• Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse digital fundraising performance, providing regular reports on campaign results, identifying areas for improvement, and making data-driven recommendations.
• Compliance: Stay up to date with digital fundraising regulations and best practices to ensure that the organisation complies with all relevant laws and standards.

• 3+ years of experience in digital fundraising and communications in a nonprofit setting.
• Proficiency in digital fundraising tools, email marketing platforms, and donor management software (experience with Salesforce and Dot Digital preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking and a passion for storytelling.

Introduction

This is an exciting role within the Fundraising team in Wales that will enable RSPB Cymru to deliver impact. The role will primarily focus on high value including grants, charitable trusts and corporates, generating funds and support for the RSPB against annual income targets and contributing to the organisation's' purpose of saving nature. What's the role about?

As Fundraising Officer you will be part of a busy fundraising team within RSPB Cymru, proactively researching and pursuing funding opportunities and relationships that meet the need of Wales Delivery Plan and overall strategic objectives of the RSPB.

You will work to agreed income targets, maximising funding opportunities and playing your part in delivering the agreed fundraising plan, working with a range of departments on specific projects to meet funder and project timescales.

You will compile financial claims and monitor and report progress, and action needed against targets and KPIs to stakeholders to ensure appropriate oversight of income streams.

You will play a critical role in updating and utilising contact databases and CRM systems to ensure accurate records are kept to facilitate effective contact management across the organisation.

You will provide excellent customer experience to all existing and potential funders, donors and supporters to ensure ongoing relationships, future donations and support, and safeguard the RSPB's reputation and brand.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Working knowledge and application of relevant Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Fundraising Regulator and Charities Act regulations and guidelines.
