About the role

We are seeking to hire 2 driven and proactive Citadel co-ordinators across Cornwall – we are particularly interested to hear from candidate based in Truro, Bodmin and Camborne – to recruit, train, support and supervise committed volunteers who will directly support people experiencing homelessness locally.

About Citadel

Citadel is a volunteer-led project preventing homelessness by helping people find or sustain their tenancies and establish a home. Volunteers, once recruited, trained and DBS checked are matched with those referred for support. Co-ordinators and volunteers work closely with those referred to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will work with the Head of Partnerships and manage a team of two, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator & Partnerships Officer.

About the Role

Who we’re looking for

The role would best suit a finance professional with proven experience in a finance management role, with a focus on supporting finance business partnering. Applicants should be able to demonstrate skills in financial management of monthly accounts, budgets, forecasts and cashflows, and managing financial month-end and year-end processes and reporting – with an emphasis on providing visual information for stakeholders. Skills In VAT, managing payroll and an understanding of charity finance principles would be an advantage. The role manages a small finance team. Financial year-end is 31st July and the finance system used is Access Accounts.

The preference for the Head of Finance vacancy is for the role to be part-time for 21 hours per week (0.6), however the Guild are open to considering candidates wishing to work more hours, whether that be 0.8 or full-time, 5 days per week. The role will be hybrid in nature, with the expectation for a minimum of 2 days per week on campus. Summary of role:

As the NCS Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of each Community Experience. You will lead and inspire cohorts of young people aged 16 to 17. You will be responsible for delivering Employability, Life Skills and Social Action sessions, coordinating programmes.

This is a fulfilling and challenging role where you will make a real impact on the lives of young people. As part of this role, you will need prior experience of working with young people and programme coordination and delivery. Whilst on the programme you will support and work closely with existing Groundwork provision, with staff in schools, colleges, and other local youth provision.  The Youth Project Manager and the Team Leader will support you with coordination and delivery of NCS. This is a rewarding and demanding role, suitable for those with an enthusiasm for youth work, delivering impactful programmes and providing pastoral support for young people and reporting any safeguarding concerns to your Team Leader.

As the NCS Project Officer, you will be required to work the entire duration of one or more of the 16 Hour Community Experiences, work evening and weekends to support the delivery of NCS. Person Specification - 

Knowledge and experience
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable strategic financial leadership spanning organisational planning, budgeting, risk, and reporting. You will have:
• A recognised financial qualification. Excellent knowledge of charity financial management, procurement and contracting at a senior level is ideal but not essential.
• Experience of effective budget setting and implementing controls and processes to manage and monitoring budgets.
• Advanced understanding of risk management.
• Experience of improving policies and processes in comparable organisations.
• Success in delivering increased cost effectiveness.
• Evidence of building financial impact and performance metrics and reporting.
• Understanding of the requirements of legislation, Charity Commission and professional body guidance on being a well-run and financially accountable Charity – or an ability to familiarise themselves with charitable law.
• Considerable experience of management and development of staff.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose

You will provide effective on-site caretaking and cleaning services as part of the Sound & Art at St Swithun’s Team. The charity has around 25 staff and is predominantly funded by grants, trusts and foundations. They have strong reserves and are also growing their fundraising capability. Turnover has increased from around £5 million to £15 million in recent years.

The role would best suit a fully-qualified accountant with demonstrable experience of restricted fund accounting and charity SORP accounting in a similar sized not for profit organisation. The organisation aims to increase it’s funding and variety of programmes over the coming years, so the role represents the chance for growth and progress.

Duties will include:

-Prepare timely, accurate and insightful financial reports and management accounts for trustees and senior staff 
-Provide commentary and analysis of the charity’s financial position and identify potential financial risks and mitigations. 
-Identify cost efficiencies and opportunities to generate income through improved fund management. 
-Lead the charity’s budget setting and financial oversight process. 
-Lead and support the development of project budgets for fundraising and grant reporting 
-Liaise with budget holders as necessary, identifying and resolving any significant variances. 
-Lead the annual audit process and work with the Senior Management Team to produce annual accounts. 
-Supervise all regular financial processing and ensure all financial procedures and policies are relevant, up-to-date and adhered to.
-Supervise preparation of monthly payroll and associated HR administration including holiday and absence reporting. 
-Manage the Finance Officer and Officer Manager
-With the Office Manager, ensure that the office environment is safe, secure and compliant with health and safety legislation and supports effective working. 
-Manage the relationship with all utility suppliers, the office landlord and other relevant parties. 
-Take responsibility for the charity’s IT infrastructure, liaising with external providers and relevant internal staff colleagues to ensure that it meets the needs of the organisation.

Candidates requirements:

-Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with significant post-qualification experience 
-Prior experience in a senior level finance role managing an entire finance function
-Significant experience of financial planning and analysis; the ability to simplify complex financial information where necessary.
-Charity accounting experience, including the preparation of statutory accounts, and preferably SORP compliance. 
-Restricted fund accounting experiene
-Experience leading an end-to-end external audit process. 
-Familiarity developing, improving and implementing financial procedures and controls
-Broad resources experience covering HR & IT would be advantageous 

Salary and benefits: Annual salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum plus employer pension contribution, private healthcare, season ticket loan, flexible working and 25 days holiday increasing up to 30 days based on length of service.

I am excited to be working with an amazing charity in search of a Finance Assistant for around two months. This is a part-time (2-3 days a week), London based role for two months. As Finance Assistant your role will be to assist the team with grants payments, invoicing and reconciliations.

Main duties:

• Processing grant payments via online banking in line with authorisation limits.

• Inputting and updating all incoming and outgoing transactions on QuickBooks.

• Saving payment confirmations on the server and on Quickbooks.

• Electronic filing of accounts and finance invoices, receipts, credits.

• Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations. 

• Administrative support for audit.

• Administration of company credit cards. 

• Ad hoc administration duties to support charity and CEO.

A fantastic charity representing a community of families bereaved by gambling-related suicide is looking for a Programme Manager - Gambling Harm Prevention, on a two-year fixed-term contract.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Home based with travel within the Midlands

As Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for the management and delivery of this range of prevention projects, initially focusing on work in the Midlands.

Key responsibilities include:

• Embedding and overseeing a project management approach to prevention programmes and delivery contracts.
• Coordinating and leading programmes and project meetings with the delivery team, ensuring project deliverables, KPIs and milestones are met.
• Managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including management, funders, partners and commissioners.
• Working closely with the Head of Prevention and Prevention Manager, contributing to the development and roll out of training and information materials and programmes.
• Managing monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring external and internal reporting requirements are met and key relationships are effectively managed.
• Ensuring quality assurance in the delivery of materials are delivered by teachers, trainers or tutors (the programme’s ‘Trained Trainers’).
• Supporting the Fundraising Manager, Head of Prevention and Chief Operating and Development Officer to secure funding, by inputting into funding proposals, contract tenders and other fundraising activities.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing projects and project management systems and will have some experience of delivering education, awareness or training initiatives to young people and/or adults. Experience in engaging and building relationships with a variety of relevant stakeholders in health, public health, education and in charities is key, alongside critical awareness of the role of the industry in influencing messaging around gambling. You must also have the ability to travel throughout England, and elsewhere in the UK and Ireland on occasion
