Brief role description:
The Marketing Manager will lead the delivery of high-impact, multi-channel campaigns that enhance engagement, drive fundraising initiatives, and strengthen support for our mission: to provide life-long, life-changing support, employment and training opportunities to Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families.
As we mark our 140th anniversary, this is a pivotal time for the Marketing Manager to lead a team of four marketing specialists to drive impactful campaigns and amplify the Charity’s presence across multiple platforms. You will work closely with programme managers across the business to identify marketing needs and opportunities, while working with the wider MarComms department to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, advise on the most effective delivery channels, and propose ways of enhancing the Forces Employment Charity presence.

As the deputy to the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller is a key finance leadership role responsible for the financial integrity of the organisations finances. Leading on the financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the DBF, Coventry Cathedral and Together for Change, this role will ensure compliance with Charity, Company and Ecclesiastical legislation. Leading and guiding a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Main Activities and Duties
1. Reporting, Budgeting, Financial Management, Accounting processes and systems
- Overall responsibility for the production of the DBF monthly management accounts to budget holders by working day 8. Ensure that monthly reviews with budget holders take place; to monitor financial performance & recommend corrective action to budget holders when needed. Provide training & development opportunities to budget holders.
- Working with the Director of Finance to prepare financial reports and commentary for the various diocesan committees.
- Preparation of the annual report and financial statements for the DBF. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards & regulations. Liaise with auditors during the external audit ensuring all reports and supporting documentation are available.
- Develop & manage the annual budget for the DBF; in collaboration with budget holders. Provide financial forecasts & analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Maintain accurate records of all funds, ensuring proper allocation & usage. Preparation & submission of timely & accurate financial reports to donors & budget holders of these funds. Monitor & report on restricted & unrestricted funds.
- Lead change management initiatives to improve financial processes & systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement & implement best practices throughout all three organisations. Engage with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of changes. Monitor & evaluate the impact of changes on financial operations.
- Implement & maintain robust internal controls. Ensure compliance with financial policies & procedures. Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial processes.
- Oversee the calculation, collection & reporting of Parish Share contributions. Ensure accurate & transparent reporting for the Deanery Share allocations. Communicate with parishes to provide guidance & support on Parish Share matters.
2. Leadership
- To provide leadership and clear direction to the team ensuring appraisals with SMART objectives that form the basis of regular monthly meetings reviewing individual and team performance.
- Working closely with the Director of Finance providing regular updates on the finances of each of organisations that the finance team supports.
- To attend training courses and events to maintain the professional accountancy qualification and competency to ensure that the post holder is aware of best practice and upcoming developments affecting the DBF, Cathedral and TFC.
- Developing relationships with budget holders to understand the drivers for expenditure, proactively providing advice and guidance to build commercial awareness.
- Providing advice and support to parishes on basic queries relating to finance and charity reporting matters. Using the data available in the department from Parish Finance returns and accounts to understand the impact of the financial health of the parishes on the DBF.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on an externally funded outreach project providing hard to reach young people with the opportunity to try free boating sessions over the summer holidays.
This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, organised, creative, tenacious, positive and IT competent with experience in project management.
You need to be able to motivate and inspire your project team, ensuring that the project is on target through continuous monitoring and evaluation. The On The Water Project Coordinator will be responsible for the line management of 3 fixed-term Project Assistants.
Whilst this role is homebased for the majority of the time, it requires the post holder to travel to each of the locations intensively throughout the 5 week delivery period, as well as regular travel for both the planning and evaluation periods. Travel expenses are covered as part of the role.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and ensure the delivery of the On the Water project.
- To manage the temporary Project Assistants at Royal Docks, Midlands and Port Edgar Boat Stations
- Work with the Project Assistants and Growth and Development Workers to enable the effective recruitment of young people, particularly those facing difficulties or disadvantage to the project through recruitment and referrals from local authorities, schools and other relevant bodies
- Devise, plan and implement systems to record and report on the project’s activity, progress and outcomes
- Manage the budget in accordance with the agreed expenditure targets, ensuring that accurate records are maintained
- Ensure the safe and smooth running of delivery in line with all internal policies
- Manage the evaluation, wrap up and future planning of the project
- Ensure the project meets it's targets and funders have timely and accurate reports
- Develop robust monitoring and booking systems and ensure they are rolled out, understood, and used across all 3 sites

THE ROLE
This role at The Girls’ Network, will be responsible for overseeing the charity’s finance, operations, HR, governance, and compliance functions. You’ll provide expert advice to the CEO and Board, lead on business planning and risk management, and manage the Finance and Operations team to deliver efficient, high-quality internal systems and support. Key Activities
Leadership and Governance
- Support the organisation in reviewing and implementing improved systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- As a Senior Management Team (SMT) member, take a leading role in The Girls' Network's strategic and operational leadership.
- Provide expert support and guidance to the CEO on legal and governance duties as a charity.
- Work with the CEO and Chair of Finance and Audit Committee to set agendas and lead on producing papers for the quarterly Finance, Audit and Risk Committee meetings and contribute to Board papers.
- Responsible for management of the organisational risk register.
- Lead the annual business planning and reporting cycle.
- Act as lead advisor for legal compliance, managing external legal advice as needed.
- Line manage, support, and develop the Finance and Operations team.
- Represent The Girls’ Network at external events and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Finance
- Ensure consistent delivery and quality of finance operations, including transactions processing, management accounts, budgets, and annual accounts.
- Lead on the financial aspects of fundraising, contract management, and funder reporting.
- Oversee statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with charity and accounting standards.
- Maintain internal controls to protect assets, prevent fraud, and ensure business continuity.
Human Resources and Working Practices
- Review HR function and establish appropriate in-house or outsourced support as required.
- Manage HR issues with internal or external advisors as needed.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of HR processes, including recruitment, induction, payroll, pensions, and staff training and development.
- Lead on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) work plan in collaboration with SMT and staff groups.
- Have oversight of policy development and implementation related to The Girls’ Network operations.
IT, Facilities, and Business Support
- Oversee CRM and digital platforms to ensure effective data management and operational efficiency.
- Oversee information management strategy, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data security.
- Ensure IT infrastructure and support services are fit for purpose, working with the Office Manager and outsourced providers.
- Manage office operations, including facilities, leases, and contract reviews.
- Ensure active management and periodic review of support contracts across HR, IT, and Facilities.

We are currently looking for a Media, PR & Digital Manager to join our team.
About the role
The Media, PR & Digital Manager leads and supports the delivery of flexible, cost-effective and class-leading media, marketing, and digital communications. This role ensures MSSC achieves its objectives across campaigns, fundraising and policy through targeted and effective profile building in the media and across multiple online platforms.
The post holder will manage media communications activities, delivered in-house or outsourced as appropriate, to meet the needs of MSSC while maintaining the charity’s image, values and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
Media & Public Relations
- Proactively explore national and regional opportunities for media coverage, establishing effective media links to raise the profile of the organisation.
- Lead and coordinate integrated media campaigns alongside digital marketing efforts for maximum impact and coverage.
- Support communication with MSSC’s internal and external stakeholders on sensitive media matters.
Marketing & Digital Communications
- Manage and coordinate the use of digital channels, including intranets, websites and social media.
- Lead the development and support of the DAMS (Marketing Hub) to facilitate effective brand and campaign management.
- Contribute to the production of high-quality, on-brand marketing materials, ensuring they meet deadlines and engage target audiences.
- Assist with website development and paid digital marketing campaigns.
- Develop and maintain MSSC’s social media channels and other digital communication platforms.
Requirements
- Degree graduate or equivalent and experience in a communications environment.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Experience in developing and maintaining good working relations with journalists and media specialists.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with good attention to detail.
- Understanding of principles of media, PR, social media and communications.

The Football Foundation are the Premier League, The FA and the Governments charity that helps communities improve their local football and sport facilities through grants.
This newly created Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for providing key insights to support strategic decision-making, ensuring financial performance aligns with business objectives, and embedding a culture of finance business partnering across the Football Foundation (the charity) and the Premier League Stadium Fund (PLSF). Additionally, the role will oversee strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities across the organisation.
The role:
- Lead and consolidate business partnering in the organisation, ensuring close collaboration with management group, department heads, and other key stakeholders to gather insights and ensure alignment on KPI’s and objectives.
- Lead the preparation and execution of the Foundation’s long-term strategic financial plans and annual budgeting processes in an effective and timely manner.
- Responsible for monitoring and providing the relevant financial information form the various funding agreements with partners.
- Accountable for overseeing the production of the monthly ’performance packs’ and associated information – highlighting key trends, issues, and opportunities as appropriate.
- Foster collaboration across departments to streamline data gathering, analysis, and planning processes.
- Continually look for ways to simplify and standardise the management accounting and budgeting processes, automating as much as possible and avoiding the need to produce “off system” analyses.
- Provide supportive line management and guidance to the Business Partner, ensuring their ongoing development, performance, and alignment with departmental goals. This includes holding regular one-to-one meetings, offering clear guidance, open and constructive feedback, and upholding the Foundation’s Personal Development Review process.

Essential criteria:
- Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or at finalist stage.
- Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting and analysis with confidence in managing large datasets and deriving actionable insights.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, accessible formats tailored to varied audiences.
- Experienced in developing financial policies, guiding users with clear and practical processes to enhance financial governance.
- Proven capability in finance business partnering, with knowledge of embedding its principles across an organisation to align financial insights with strategic goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and resolve technical issues independently, ensuring efficient outcomes.

The position will be based at The Football Foundation’s head office at Wembley Stadium and requires 2 visits per week to the office, dependent on business need, in addition to attending two-day all team meet ups each quarter. Diary management
Document formatting
Travel and accommodation arrangements
High-quality diary and administrative support to the Chair of Trustees
Diary management in relation to activities ensuring these do not conflict with meetings.
Travel and accommodation arrangements as needed.
Planning ahead and ensure pre-board and other briefings are co-ordinated and provided.
Governance administrative and secretariat support to the Governance Team
For internal and other meetings as part of the support to the Governance Team providing cover for meetings. supporting with financial processes including Purchase Orders and Invoices and support with projects
