We are seeking a highly organised and strategic leader with significant experience in driving change and providing exceptional leadership in supported housing, adult learning, or housing management. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of senior-level organisational leadership and a deep understanding of the housing sector, supported by a relevant qualification that meets the emerging Regulator of Social Housing Competence and Conduct Standard. You should be adept at promoting best practices in staff leadership, support, and development, with the capability to lead the services function in achieving outstanding standards in support, housing management, property services, and learning.

Community Fundraising Officer

Job Overview: MEWSo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the fundraising strategy and generate over £200,000 annual income for the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a good background in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a passion for our mission.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Working with the Executive Director, ensure an effective fundraising strategy consistent with MEWSo’s business plan for sustaining the Advice Department and project activities in Islington, Westminster and pan-London

· Research and identify potential donors and their priorities

· Write fundraising applications and budgets and/or tender documents

· Proactively seek funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of different sources of funding, including one year and multi-year grants from trusts and foundations

· Engage the Chair and Board Members in pursuing fundraising opportunities.

· Assisting in the search for opportunities for tendering, contracts and grant applications to funders and donors

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all submissions, grant-funded projects and donors

· Produce regular fundraising activity reports to track and monitor progress

· Be the first point of contact for trustees, staff and partners for all fundraising queries

· Attend fundraising events when needed

Skills/experience:

Essential:

1. Excellent understanding of the funding landscape

2. Track record in building successful donor portfolio (trust and foundations)

3. Experience of developing new funding applications from scratch

4. Experience of involving and empowering disadvantaged individuals and groups

5. Experience of liaising with statutory providers and voluntary organisations

6. Experience in building partnership work with sister organisations, ideally from the VAWG sector

7. Excellent knowledge of issues and challenges to women experiencing domestic abuse, including especially harmful practices

8. Good IT skills, MS office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point,

9. Administrative skills and ability to set up systems for monitoring and reporting

10. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

11. Fluent in English

Desirable:

The Drive Partnership was formed by Respect, Safe Lives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

The Triage IDVA will work as part of the Triage Team in their pilot area, reporting to the Triage Team Leader and working alongside the Triage Worker. They will be responsible  for supporting and presenting the voice of the victims and their children in cases where  the perpetrator has been referred to the team for an assessment of suitability for a Positive Requirement during an application for a DAPO.

They will be responsible for attempting to contact the victims to carry out the relevant safety checks, risk assessments and provide advocacy during the assessment stage and make onward referrals for further support for the victim. They will capture the voice of the victim as part of the overall assessment for a positive requirement and feed their views and any relevant information about risk or need into the overall recommendation. The IDVA’s work and expertise will ensure that the risks and needs for both the Perpetrator and Victims/families are considered so that a co-ordinated and individual intervention plan can be created when appropriate and safe to apply as part of the DAPO.

The Fundraising Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Fundraising Team to generate funds through a range of activities, including Individual Giving Appeals and event-based fundraising. - Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.

Job Description

The Director of Finance role is essential in maintaining the charity's fiscal health, supporting income generation, and managing financial risks. It will provide strategic support to the Executive Leadership Team and strategic direction and oversight to a large and diverse finance team, ensuring robust financial management, proactive financial planning and commercial decision support.

This role is one of the Senior Leaders of the Business Services Directorate, which includes essential support functions such as finance, HR operations, technology, data, property, procurement, audit & assurance, legal, and company secretary. The Director of Finance reports directly to the Corporate Director of Business Services, who also serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The Director of Finance will lead a team of approximately 70 finance colleagues and manage an expenditure budget of up to £35 million.

The key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the charity's goals, ensuring the charity's funds deliver the most positive impact for children and young people.
• Supporting and driving income growth and commercial decision making in the business development, retail and fundraising teams.
• Leading and mentoring the finance team, ensuring they provide high-quality financial data and support.
• Managing the charity's reserves, investments, and treasury functions.
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

The Successful Applicant

Experience in a voluntary or public sector environment is not necessarily required. Alignment with the charity's mission and values, a strong track record and a commercial outlook is more important.

Education/Knowledge

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with significant financial and management accounting knowledge and an robust understanding of financial control frameworks and cash flow and treasury management.

Experience

• Experience of operating at a senior level in large complex organisations with geographically spread operational delivery models.
• Proven experience in a group accounting structure and of project management.
• Experience of engaging and influencing a range of stakeholders, including at Board level, with complex information in a clear, simple and straightforward manner which enables and empowers them to act accordingly.
• Proven track record of successful leadership, making complex decisions and recommendations and acting as a champion of change.

Role: Administrative Coordinator to CEO and Leadership Team
Duration: 6 months fixed term contract
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Hours: 35 per week
Location: London (Hybrid)

We are working with a wonderful charitable trust to recruit an experienced Administrator to support the CEO and leadership team.

About the role:
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Foundation’s CEO and its Leadership Team (comprising 9 Directors). You will liaise with the Foundation’s Trustees and other Board and Committee members, organizing papers, logistics, and taking minutes of meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Assistance to the CEO (approx. 40%)
• Manage CEO’s diary
• Monitor inbox and correspondence, flagging items for attention and follow-up, drafting responses where appropriate
• Book CEO’s travel and accommodation, processing expenses
• Plan and schedule cyclical meetings, producing and monitoring the annual calendar
• Occasionally collate information and draft outline papers and presentations
• Coordinate and plan for the wider Leadership team, including authorizing annual leave requests on CEO’s behalf
2. Trustees and Committees: Servicing and Meeting Administration
• Schedule and coordinate all Trustee and Committee meetings, and other events
• Draft meeting agendas, collate, format, and publish meeting papers using Diligent Boardbooks
• Ensure meeting room layout, AV, and catering requirements are in place
• Arrange Chair’s briefings prior to meetings
• Take meeting minutes and record action points for follow-up
• Organize periodic Trustee dinners
• Book accommodation and process Trustees’ expenses
• Act as the first point of contact for Trustees on general queries, diary management, and signing of papers
• Collate and record annual declarations of conflicts of interest for audit purposes
• Maintain Trustee and Company Secretarial document folders in SharePoint
3. Assisting the Leadership Team
• Plan monthly Leadership Team meetings and occasional away-days
• Draft agendas, collate and circulate papers, take minutes, and circulate action points
• Monitor follow-up of actions arising
• Assist Leadership Team members with diary and scheduling matters
4. Other Support, Including Meeting and Event Management
• Schedule and coordinate monthly all-staff meetings and other events
• Manage all operational aspects, including scheduling, invitations, circulation of papers, room layouts, catering, speaker, and guest liaison
• Provide administrative support on the day of events (e.g., greeting visitors, recording sessions)

Re-engage is a charity that is positive about older age and committed to fighting loneliness so that people can have social lives and friendship groups however old they are. We inspire and enable meaningful connections and shared experiences within communities across the UK for people over 75 facing loneliness and social isolation.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to join Re-engage. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will oversee the charity’s fundraising teams with responsibility for the whole range of fundraised income, as well as developing and supporting partnerships across the organisation.

With our ambition to grow over the next five years, this role will be critical to the success of Re-engage and our ability to reach more older people and reduce more loneliness.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in at least two fundraising disciplines including major donors, corporate partnerships, individual giving, legacies and / or trust fundraising. You will have excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills, line management experience, and be used to taking a proactive approach to your work.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will work with colleagues to deliver the organisation’s strategy, developing the necessary plans to achieve challenging income targets and support the development of productive partnerships to enable the organisation’s growth.

Leadership

Develop and deliver the organisation’s fundraising strategy
Provide leadership to fundraising teams, including line managing team managers
Maintain quality standards, including ethical standards, in donor stewardship and fundraising communications
Communicate with colleagues sharing information to ensure you have a well-informed and well-connected team

Fundraising

- Draft fundraising applications, cases for support, proposals and reports to funders
- Work with colleagues to set, achieve and report on targets associated with funder requirements
- Work closely with colleagues in Engagement and Service Delivery to ensure fundraising and income generation support the overall strategy and direction of the organisation
- Ensure all applications are recorded on the CRM (OPUS) to support planning, delivery and reporting requirements
- Work with fundraising teams to build pipeline of funders across different strands of activity
- Build cases for support and proposals to illustrate the work of the organisation, working with colleagues in Service Delivery, Communications and Impact teams
- Grow a portfolio of current and potential major donors

Partnerships

- Work with colleagues to identify potential partners who can contribute to both fundraising and broader organisational objectives
- Develop and implement stewardship plans for funders and partners to support long-lasting and constructive relationships
- Oversee the management of successful long term relationships with partners and funders, providing advice and support to colleagues as necessary to ensure high standards of stewardship

Organisational

- Play an active role in SMT and all staff activities
- Contribute to the development of Re-engage’s strategic direction and operational plan
- Lead by example, demonstrating Re-engage’s values and expected behaviours in your work with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Ensure all fundraising activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Fundraising Regulator
- Ensure compliance with VAT, GDPR and data protection regulations
- Work with colleagues to make best use of OPUS, identifying opportunities to upgrade and further develop the system to enhance the work and efficiency of the organisation
- You may be required to undertake other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post and there will be occasional out of hours work required.

A full driving licence and own car is preferred, as this post will require travel across the UK as and when required, and quarterly overnight stays

Person Specification

- Significant experience in a fundraising role with demonstrable achievements in at least two fundraising disciplines including major donors, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, direct mail, legacies and trust fundraising
- Experience creating income products and packages from the needs of our beneficiaries
- Experience approaching and securing funding from a wide range of public funders, trusts and foundations, private and public sector organisations
- Experience managing and stewarding a varied portfolio of supporters whilst developing new prospects
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to nurture and develop junior talent into high performing fundraisers
- Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- A track record of growing fundraised income
- Proven ability to establish and maintain income forecasting systems and manage budgets
- Up-to-date knowledge of fundraising best practice and regulation, including GDPR
