We're looking for an exceptional Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator to help us make a difference to our planet.

The job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work. There is the opportunity for international travel as part of this role and a willingness to travel internationally is desirable.

Your world of expertise

As our MEL Coordinator, you will support the expanding delivery of MEL activities and knowledge management for international development projects at the Met Office, notably our Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER) programmes in Africa, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia Pacific Regions. With support of the WISER MEL team, consisting of the Strategic MEL Manager and another MEL Coordinator, you will facilitate and support results reporting, learning and knowledge sharing across WISER. You will closely collaborate with partner organisations and associated programme and project stakeholders at the local, national, regional, and international level to track and share progress, identify lessons learnt, and strengthen inter-and cross-regional and thematic bridges between projects and WISER programmes. The role will also focus on using a range of evidence to support influencing policy and strategic planning in line with WISER's aims, and share learning from WISER with other initiatives and associated programmes WISER is linked to. This includes feeding learning back into FCDO research programmes such as CLARE.

The Met Office WISER family of programmes supports initiatives to build people's resilience to the effects of climate change through co-producing and strengthening their access and use of weather and climate information services. The WISER Programme Team works in partnership with FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office), and delivers its work through the global meteorological community, national governments, development agencies, NGOs and academic institutions.. We act as a strategic partner to deliver FCDO objectives and support countries to strengthen their own weather and climate capability, policies and services.

Your key duties

As our MEL Coordinator (aligned to PDCF Benefits Manager Level 3 within Met Office), the key duties are:

• To work with the WISER MEL team, and independently, to implement monitoring, evaluation and learning tools and approaches to support results reporting. This will require working with a range of stakeholders in different settings both via in-person and virtual spaces, to elicit, analyse and report different types of evidence to support programme and project progress.
• To support the Strategic WISER MEL Manager and WISER MEL Coordinator in post, with learning and knowledge exchanges, working with WISER partner organisations within and across WISER's three regions, and with other associated programmes globally, potentially including FCDO research programmes such as CLARE.
• To support and coordinate WISER partner organisations with their engagement in learning activities and in producing learning and impact outputs.
• Lead on, support and coordinate opportunities and deliverables to share WISER learning at applicable global conferences, workshops and international events both in-person and virtually.

As our MEL Coordinator, your total reward package will be up to £57,639 annually, which includes:

• £41,725 base pay
• An outstanding Civil Service pension, with an average employer contribution of 27%

Essential Criteria, skills and experience:

1. Experience in using a range of monitoring and evaluation tools and approaches to demonstrate impact and aid learning, such as Theory of Change, results frameworks, Stories of Change, Value for Money, Strategy Testing, Outcome Mapping/Outcome Harvesting (We're experts by nature).
2. Experience of working on large programmes with a complex set of stakeholders, ideally in international development and/or in the weather and climate information services sector (We're a force for good).
3. Strong analytical and influencing skills with ability to understand, gather and synthesise data from a range of sources on organisation, stakeholder and user needs (we're experts by nature).
4. A strong track record of effective stakeholder engagement and written and oral communication skills, including using a range of communication channels to develop dialogue across diverse groups, including at senior level (We're a force for good).
5. Experience of planning, facilitating and designing methods and tools for different types of learning and sense-making in a leading role (We're better together).
6. Experience in setting up, reviewing and improving knowledge management and learning practice in organisations and partnerships, and delivering a range of knowledge management and learning outputs (we're experts by nature).
7. A willingness and ability to travel internationally, with a strong understanding of working overseas and in different cultural settings (We live and breathe it).

Desirable Criteria:

Job Purpose
The Partnerships Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust. You will assist the Strategic Partnerships Manager to maintain and build key school relationships and networks contributing to customer retention and business growth.
The Partnerships Coordinator will also work very closely with the Partnership Operations team and the Communications & Marketing team to contribute positively to the overall success and innovation of the organisation.
Main Functions

• Assist with setting up key school partnerships across West Yorkshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Skills/experience:

Essential:

1. Excellent understanding of the funding landscape

The Drive Partnership was formed by Respect, Safe Lives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

The Triage IDVA will work as part of the Triage Team in their pilot area, reporting to the Triage Team Leader and working alongside the Triage Worker. They will be responsible  for supporting and presenting the voice of the victims and their children in cases where  the perpetrator has been referred to the team for an assessment of suitability for a Positive Requirement during an application for a DAPO.

They will be responsible for attempting to contact the victims to carry out the relevant safety checks, risk assessments and provide advocacy during the assessment stage and make onward referrals for further support for the victim. They will capture the voice of the victim as part of the overall assessment for a positive requirement and feed their views and any relevant information about risk or need into the overall recommendation. The IDVA’s work and expertise will ensure that the risks and needs for both the Perpetrator and Victims/families are considered so that a co-ordinated and individual intervention plan can be created when appropriate and safe to apply as part of the DAPO.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in meeting the department’s complex and varied data requirements.  This is a high-energy varied role and the post holder will be expected to manage and push forward multiple work activities simultaneously. Your core focus will be delivering data selections and exports to all teams in the Supporter Engagement directorate as such, a solid working knowledge - and experience of the Raiser’s Edge is essential. This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we work towards moving over to Microsoft dynamics in March 2025 and the successful candidate will have a hand in shaping this work and support with the transition.

The main duties and responsibilities include: 

• Working with the Data Manager and all Supporter Engagement teams, the post holder will ensure data selections are delivered accurately, cleanly and on time working to an agreed process
• Proactively liaise with supporter facing teams to ensure clarity regarding upcoming selections and potential overlaps between audience groups
• Use this knowledge to champion the supporter’s interests during the planning and development phases of any and all campaigns
• Working with customer teams, produce accurate inclusion queries to extract data.
• Understand and maintain accurate suppression queries to ensure our compliance with both our legal responsibilities and the best practices expected by our supporters.
• Manipulate data exports to ensure consistent formatting and structures before releasing the selection to our internal stakeholders
• Perform quality control tasks on data selections to ensure accuracy before releasing the selection to our internal stakeholders

 
To succeed in this role, you will have: 

• Considerable experience of working with the Raiser’s Edge database with a demonstrable understanding of the single customer view
• Excellent understanding about how data can be used to drive a variety of disparate income streams with different audiences
• A track record of delivering multi segment data selections accurately and on time in a dynamic working environment
• A clear and demonstrable understanding of data protection regulations and other regulatory frameworks
• Sound understanding of direct marketing practices
• Experience of providing database training and documentation to users
• Excellent organisational skills with a logical and investigative approach to problem solving
• Excellent time management and co-ordination skills
• Experience manipulating and translating client requirements for data into a working technical framework with associated hierarchies and suppressions
