The Oasis Hub Waterloo team are currently looking for a Foodbank Trusts & Corporate Fundraiser to raise much-needed funds for our Waterloo Foodbank and other strategic partners.

The successful applicant would be responsible for writing funding bids for trusts, and also developing relationships with local businesses, to increase our unrestricted corporate income.

Some of the duties of this newly created role include:

· Research and identify potential short- and long-term funders from among grant making trusts and statutory bodies.

· To prepare written applications in co-operation with and on behalf of Waterloo Foodbank projects and ensure suitable budgets are prepared.

· Develop relationships with corporate organisations that align with our values and vision that would be open to an approach for financial support.

The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate:

· Proven successful experience of fundraising.

· Understanding of the statutory and grant-making funding sector.

· Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective supporters.

· Experience of fundraising from corporates.

· Excellent written skills including writing persuasive copy for funding proposals.

About the role: 

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. The Ambition Case Worker has the lead responsibility for ensuring the inclusion of the identified marginalised young person within locality and cross locality youth work to reduce negative outcome. The Ambition Case Worker will liaise with, support, and work collaboratively with a range of agencies to ensure a holistic approach to embedding children and young people’s participation in service delivery.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

· To identify needs, establish contact and build sustainable working relationships with identified young people to encourage and motivate participation in existing and new curriculum led youth work programmes. Identified groups include Looked after Children (LAC) and Care Leavers, Young People with Learning Difficulties (SEN), Young Carers and young people identified by the community of being at risk.

· Lead the case management of the cohort of young people with the team to ensure we are working with multi agency, that have been identified in the Southwark Vanguard and beyond.

· To ensure the effective, ethical and meaningful involvement of young people to inform service planning, policy development and delivery of single and multiagency services.

· Operating as part of a team around the family, ensuring work undertaken is reflected in the personal development plan for the young person. As well as working with other professionals towards the agreed common goals, updating the lead professional for a case on involvement on a regular/agreed basis and attending identified Vanguard meetings to ensure work is well co-ordinated.

· Review and update development plan/assessment where there is no child protection concerns but where support is clearly needed, considering the needs and strengths of all family members with multi agency support.

· Participate in the gathering of information to inform in depth assessment of both the young person and family needs.

· Using ACN Methodology to enhance wider engagement of young people where targeted young person lives and to better understand the community contextually. This will help to identify further support needed in wider community.

· To plan, deliver, manage, and maintain a range of high-quality programmes of activities/ projects including those leading to accredited and recorded learning, services and facilities with young people. This will sometimes require securing external grant funding, and the programmes will need to link with wider youth services in the community.

· Ensure that youth work programmes are delivered in a planned, systematic, and co-ordinated approach and undertake quality assurance processes. Contribute to area/locality plans, accreditation, and recorded learning targets by ensuring management information is accurate and recorded in a timely way

· Ensure the promotion and publicity of the activities / programmes to the wider community as well as to the key regular users of the service.

· Ensure that the participation work programme is delivered in a planned, systematic, and co-ordinated approach, ensuring integrated quality assurance processes are integral to any work undertaken. Ensure the promotion, publicity, and feedback of the activities/programmes to children and young people accessing services, elected members, senior officers and the wider community.

· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other relevant agencies involved in the provision of Southwark Vanguard services to support young people especially schools.

· Attend and represent the locality team at meetings including relevant multi-agency groups and events.

· Liaise closely with relevant teams and workers in targeted areas of work within ACN and Establish pathways and opportunities for young people in the targeted group.

We are excited to be recruiting a Research and Evaluation Consultancy Lead to join The Brilliant Club. The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by growing the charity’s research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. 

The Consultancy Lead will provide research and evaluation services to universities and other education organisations working in the university access and student success space. This role will work alongside a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to deliver high-quality consultancy projects and will report to the charity’s Chief Impact and Strategy Officer. The role will involve collaborating with different teams from across the organisation and will include coordinating and managing colleagues on consultancy activities.  The role will also contribute significantly to business development work to support the charity’s income generation. 

The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations. 

The successful candidate will have strong quantitative research skills and have a proven track record of delivering evaluation projects in education or a related field. They will be highly experienced with managing stakeholder relationships and delivering concurrent projects and, ideally, will have also contributed to bid writing and/or other income-generation activities. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

Role summary

Working within our Programmes Team, you will secure over £200k of new income for each financial year to fund disability-inclusive programmes from a range of donors.

You will build relationships with corporates, trusts and foundations, institutional donors and other consortium partners, researching and identifying new funders and new opportunities whose strategic objectives and focus areas are aligned with our own.

You will work collaboratively with the Programmes Team and our Network members in Africa to develop and write compelling and high-quality proposals. You will develop new projects, MEAL plans and multi-year budgets.

You will work both independently and collaboratively to develop proposals. With excellent time management and organisational skills, you will demonstrate the ability to deliver quality work and meet deadlines, while managing a varied workload.

Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:

· Relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC), Social Work (QSW) or SEND.

· Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.

· Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes and able to work unsociable hours.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who understands the value that youth work, sport and positive activities can add to people and their communities. The role of the Youth Worker will be an important addition to the London team and provide programme support to ensure that young people who are engaged in these programmes are supported.

The role of the Youth Worker plays an important role in the planning and delivery of weekly sessions to ensure they are needs led and are supporting the young people who are engaged to achieve their outcomes. The Youth Worker will play a crucial role by supporting the wider team when required to deliver sessions, support with administrative tasks and build relationships with community partners to ensure the young people have access to as many opportunities as possible.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop relationships and communication channels with young people.
• To support with the delivery of ACN youth programmes in London.
• To support the wider staff team in the development and execution of session plans to include workshops and sessions that are needs led to aid with improving young people’s knowledge and understanding of relevant issues e.g. sexual health, employability and mental health etc.
• To support the recruitment and engagement of young people to ACN programmes.
• To build positive working relationships with youth workers and community partners to achieve the best outcomes for young people on all programmes.
• Manage groups of young people and be responsible for their care, safeguarding them whilst they are participating in activities.
• Promote and encourage empowerment within all sessions.
• To support the wider team with programme related administration completing relevant documentation and ensuring it is accurate including updating our monitoring and evaluation system.
• To work with the wider team to evaluate and record the impact of sessions and workshops that are being delivered.
• Promote volunteering and engage with young people to take part in opportunities.
