Job Summary

This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.

PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

This will be based within community venues and working alongside our REP Case Managers to deliver an employability themed curriculum on a face-to-face basis. You will ensure that all learners have completed their ESOL Assessment, are engaged in the right level of support, are learning and are thriving in their journey towards integration in the UK and progressing with their ESOL to support returning to work over their time on REP.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Work alongside Case Managers to complete ESOL assessments and design bespoke
ESOL learning plans for each individual 
• Deliver good quality in-house ESOL provision on a face-to-face basis appropriate to
learners levels and in the community and at community venues. 
• Where needed liaise with local colleges, ESOL providers, charities and other
organisations to refer learners based on their language levels and needs 
• Monitor leaners’ engagement with courses, including our own, their progress and
objectives or qualification achieved. Adapt provision where needed to maintain
engagement.
• Deliver activities in accordance with contractual Service Level Agreements and company
standards 
• Keep accurate service users’ records in accordance with data protection requirements so
that personal information is safeguarded, and progress towards KPIs accurately recorded
on the case management system.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 
Required 
• ESOL/EAL subject specialist teaching qualification or equivalent experience 
• Experience working with refugees and / or those facing complex barriers

What is an RPR?

As a Relevant Person’s Representative you will have a case load of people to visit on a regular basis to check that they are well looked after and safe from harm.  Checking if they are happy in their place of care and that the carers are following correct processes.  Reports are then submitted to the local council department with your feedback from your visit.

The role is challenging yet rewarding and will require strong communication skills with an empathetic person-centred approach as you will be supporting the relevant person whilst they are deprived of their liberty in a hospital or care home.

Full training for the role and regular supervisions will be provided, Further ahead, there will be potential to extend and expand the job role and develop roles such as an IMCA (Independent Mental Capacity Advocate) or Care Act Advocate, for which funded training and accreditation will be provided. The right candidate will be required to undergo this development training to fulfil the needs of the role and changing legislation.

Horatio’s Garden is looking for an Events Assistant to join its friendly and growing team which creates, organises and implements a wide range of special events.

Horatio’s Garden is an independent charity that nurtures the wellbeing of people after spinal injury in beautiful, vibrant sanctuaries within the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. Leading designers create the accessible gardens where the charity’s team, alongside volunteers and creatives, care for people and plants alike.  

The charity is growing. With seven garden projects open, we have an eighth garden under construction in Sheffield due to open in 2025. After winning ‘Best in Show’ at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2023 with a show garden designed for people with mobility needs, the charity’s profile was significantly increased and there are major plans to expand the special events programme to raise awareness and generate sustainable income.

Key responsibilities

· Assist with the administration and coordination of fundraising and stewardship events

· Assist with communications, mailings and guestlist management

· Set up event ticketing

· Update supporter details on the fundraising database

· Support with third party fundraisers including responding to queries, sending out fundraising packs and monitoring income

· Attending events where required including some evenings and weekends

· Perform general office administration tasks

We are looking for someone who has

• Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Flexible, can-do attitude, with the ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure
• A willingness to learn new skills and to develop existing skills 
• An ability to self-motivated and work independently, as well as part of a team 
• A passion for the charity sector

Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant

The team is looking for someone to join as a Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant. As part of this role, you will provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints. As part of the Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Team, you will contribute to achieving the team's aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the team’s projects including marketing campaigns, supporter events and internal promotion of messages to a range of audiences and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external audiences, a high standard of computer literacy, and a passion for delivering excellent supporter care.
Please note that this is a 6-month opportunity.
