The successful candidate will represent the Charity in the community and therefore must be confident in communicating with supporters, have excellent inter-personal skills along with strong communication and presentation skills. These are exciting times for Women's Pioneer Housing. We have recently achieved planning permission for two new developments and over the next 2 years, we will be developing over 160 new homes for single women in West London, including brand new offices on our site at 227 Wood Lane.

Founded in 1920 by women and men who understood the challenges faced by women trying to secure affordable, safe and independent housing at the time. Reporting to the Housing Services Manager, we are looking for a Housing Officer to join a small team in a busy, fast-paced environment. You will manage a patch of approximately 260 properties in West London and will be responsible for managing rent and service charge collection, lettings and antisocial behaviour, as well as supporting our residents with general enquiries. We work with colleagues across all areas of the business to provide an excellent service for our residents, helping drive up resident engagement and satisfaction, as well as meeting key performance targets.

Ideally you will bring direct experience in these areas however, relevant transferable skills are as important. You must be an effective communicator be organised, empathetic and understand the need to create effective resolution outcomes. You will be visiting residents in their homes, talking to them on the phone and corresponding with them in writing so excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are crucial for this role. You will also be working with external agencies, including the Police and Social Services and be capable of forming effective partnership arrangements.

You will be equipped with mobile technology to deliver a flexible service, visible and accessible to our residents. We want individuals who are able to find positive outcomes and who can demonstrate a passion for customer service with residents at the heart of what you do.

What you bring will allow you to work collaboratively with staff across the organisation and with our residents where you will professionally and positively interact with different groups of people, building relationships where you are trusted and inspire confidence. You will contribute to ensuring our quality standards are met and our services deliver in meeting our residents’ expectations. This role is responsible for proactively supporting the Finance Manager in the effective management of Frontline’s finance function. It involves the achievement of finance best practices within the day-to-day finance operations that will foster a high-performance culture, empowerment, quality, productivity, and compliance within Frontline.

As part of this role, we will agree to pay for accounting exams as required and you will be entitled for 2 days study leave per exam.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts spreadsheets, assist in accounts variance analysis
• Supporting budget holders in a variety of ways including managing budgets, annual budget setting, preparing reports for funders and external bodies
• Processing journals (accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income) and run reports within the accounting system
• Maintaining the nominal ledger and Fixed Assets Register
• Assisting in the preparation of cashflow forecasts, funding application and the annual statutory accounts.
• Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations

This role will suit an someone experienced in management or financial accounting, and will support someone who is a part-qualified accountant aiming to complete their studies (although this is not essential). The panel would like to see applicants that are resilient, efficient and can communicate financial information to non-experts in a clear, concise and understandable way.

Responsibilities 

Leadership

• Lead the organisation’s communications planning to ensure alignment and maximise impact on influencing and income objectives. Monitor and manage communications-related risk for MAP.
• Collaborate with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, Strategic Communications and Media Manager, and Digital Communications Manager to ensure that the necessary communications processes and systems are established.

• Oversee the development of creative cut-through tactics and products across traditional and digital media and PR, from revealing MAP research and analysis to emergency media briefings.

Job purpose

Working closely with the Partnership Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the delivery of interactive activities aimed at schools and young people under key funded projects for the charity’s Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures programmes. These programmes leverage technology to raise the aspirations and broaden the horizons of children and young people by connecting them to a huge range of volunteers from the world of work via career related learning activities.

The Partnerships team are responsible for relationship management of the key corporate and charity partners for the charity’s Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures programmes. Partners cover a range of sectors and employment areas and our employer partnerships provide partners employees with the opportunity to engage with schools, and reach many children and young people across the UK, both virtually and in-person.

The Partnership Events Lead will be able to manage and coordinate delivery of activities to meet agreed KPIs, leading on planning, scheduling and delivering various showcase virtual and face-to-face events and activities ensuring engagement from schools, employers and volunteers.

Overseeing event delivery – both physical and virtual, this role will have end to end accountability for event management, from coordinating with the schools and volunteers, event briefings, to planning and delivering the event – speaker selection and liaison, school registrations, co-ordinating event logistics and venue management, on-site and virtual delivery, post event feedback and communications etc.

This role will work on partnerships including but are not limited to the Department for Transport’s Inspiring Aviation Campaign, Maritime UK Ambassadors, NHS Ambassadors and events associated with employer partnerships such as Bank of America, Tritax Big Box, Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and others.

• Work closely with the Partnership Manager role to lead on planning and delivery of any funded projects and activities

Befriending Officer
