Job Summary
Our new Wellbeing Manager role will complement Cardiomyopathy UKs new Community Engagement Programme, "Thriving Together." This programme promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) while leading community development initiatives. The role involves strategising and implementing mental health support services, benefits and welfare support and managing relationships with external freelancers and partners. A key focus of this position is developing and delivering group support sessions within our Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) programme. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to confidently facilitate group ACT sessions, ensuring participants receive effective skills-based support that helps their well-being.
NB: The role is remote, with an expectation to visit the Amersham-based head office at least twice monthly. Amersham is on the Metropolitan Tube Line and is serviced by mainline train services. Travel expenses will be paid.
Role
The main duties for this role are as follows:
1. Provision of mental health support via Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Undergo training to become proficient in delivering Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
- Implement ACT sessions in group online formats to support individuals in managing mental health challenges.
- Develop tailored ACT programs that address the specific needs of our community members.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ACT interventions, adapting approaches as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Liaise and manage the partnership with our ACT provider to ensure our community receives one-to-one support where appropriate
2. Community Development
- Work with our existing peer support programme to develop and implement equality, diversity and inclusion strategies to ensure all community engagement activities are inclusive and accessible.
- Identify and address the needs of marginalized and underserved communities through tailored community development projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Organise and facilitate community events and activities to promote social inclusion and cohesion
3. Provision of Benefits and Welfare Support
- Develop and oversee our benefits and welfare programs that support the financial well-being of community members.
- Liaise and manage the partnership with our external benefits advisor to ensure our community receives comprehensive benefits and welfare advice.
- Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to enhance the reach and impact of welfare programs.
4. Programme Development
- ·Design and develop new wellbeing programs tailored to the unique challenges and preferences of individuals with cardiomyopathy.
- Pilot new initiatives, gather feedback, and refine programs based on outcomes and participant input.
5. Performance Management and Quality Assurance
- Establish performance management frameworks to monitor the effectiveness of community engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure outcomes and ensure alignment with organisational goals.

- Raise awareness of Headway services amongst brain injury survivors, their carers and family members thereby increasing demand for our support.
- Drive engagement and support from stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, politicians, celebrities, grant-making bodies, and prospective fundraisers / donors.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the review and development of the Headway brand
- Develop and launch campaigns to raise the profile and reputation of Headway
- Implement campaigns that meet organisational need such as promotion of services, recruitment of volunteers or a shop donation appeal.
- Create and disseminate promotional materials such as an impact report as well as leaflets, flyers, posters and digital assets relating to Headway services.
- Oversee the production of videos, testimonials, and photography for use in promotion of Headway and its services.
- Develop and implement brand guidelines to include visual and tone of voice guidance
- Ensure brand consistency of all Headway materials

Role overview
The Senior Programme Manager will lead our delivery team and work closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure that we’re designing and delivering mentoring projects that meet our partner objectives. The postholder will line-manage key staff in the delivery team, delegate programme activity and oversee quality across our portfolio. The postholder will be accountable for engagement across our portfolio and for ensuring we meet targets and key performance indicators set by our partners for project outcomes.
The postholder will also lead the delivery of Brightside Mentoring, our London based mentoring project that’s currently funded until 31 December 2025. This will involve leading the ongoing design of the project as we learn from each cohort, recruiting young people to take part from across our London networks and reporting to the funder on project progress. Our ideal candidate will therefore be based in or around London, as frequent travel will be required.
Responsible for (our partner portfolio)
- Overseeing project deliverables across our portfolio, ensuring tasks are delegated across the team and that deadlines are met
- Chairing weekly delivery team meetings to stay on top of project launches, delivery updates and upcoming evaluations
- Ensuring that roles and responsibilities for project delivery are clear across the delivery team
- Collaborating with the Partnership Manager to manage our approach to risk across the portfolio
- Collaborating with the Data and Insight Manager to ensure recommendations and learning are embedded into future projects
- Monitoring quality in our project delivery, and developing systems to do this efficiently
- Managing our training calendar, ensuring that mentor and mentee training sessions are staffed as required

- Leading the programme design process, embedding learning from previous cohorts and addressing previous challenges through innovation
- Working closely with the Partnership Manager to lead mentee recruitment, ensuring that we’re reaching young people and getting them onto the project
- Attending recruitment events across London, working with contacts in and beyond our network to recruit young people
- Delegating tasks across the delivery team
- Working with the Interim Head of Innovation to recruit volunteers
- Ensuring that all volunteers are trained and DBS-checked before participating
Accountable for
- Engagement across our portfolio – monitoring participation of mentors and mentees, identifying success, challenges and developing strategies to improve engagement
- Programme management processes – ensuring we implement robust programme management processes that lead to success, with clear workflows for the team to follow
- Programme records – ensuring that the delivery team keep accurate records of meetings, updates and learning
- Participant conversion – ensuring that as many young people as possible fully participate in programmes after they sign-up

About The Role
The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Development Managers to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.
As a Community Development Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Community Builders, fostering collaboration, innovation and commitment to community impact working in an ABCD informed way. The aim is to connect and re-engage members of the AFC with the services at Help for Heroes and within the wider community.
This is an exciting and varied role for dynamic and confident individuals, in which the right candidate will work directly within communities across the UK; bringing the Armed Forces Community together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the leadership of an integrated, community development and hybrid volumizing offer which improves reach and sustained positive impact for members of the Armed Forces community.

You will be responsible for the effective line management of a dispersed community-based team and have experience managing co-designed/co-delivered community development initiatives. Role overview
The Data and Insight Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality and impact across our mentoring programmes. The postholder will work closely with our Programme Managers to build evaluation frameworks that reflect our partners’ objectives and support the delivery team to plan projects that deliver on the partners’ target outcomes. The postholder will lead on analysing end of project survey data, drawing insights and recommendations and using these to write and deliver end of project evaluation reports. The Data and Insight Manager will monitor impact and outcomes across our portfolio and support our Senior Leadership Team to understand the impact our projects are having across our mentoring portfolio. This is a varied role, suited to candidates interested in using data and insights to improve processes and articulate impact to a wide range of audiences.
Responsible for
- Creating evaluation frameworks for our projects based on logic modules, ensuring our mentoring delivery is outcomes-driven

As an integral part of IChemE’s management team, the role holder will represent the organisation’s key field force, supporting and driving operations through frequent liaison with other IChemE management, functional teams, member groups and committees. Communications Manager
We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to work for an important international charity.
Position: Communications Manager
Location: Remote
Contract: Initial fixed term of 12 months, with the potential to extend
Hours: Full-time (part-time or job-share arrangement considered)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role
The Communications Manager role requires exceptional communications leadership that marries 1) charitable work in fascinating but complex places, 2) commercial marketing and PR, 3) internal communications that have the power to bring our disparate and culturally diverse teams together and 4) empowerment for artisan voices.

Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to advocacy for the global communications strategy with TM leaders and teams across our regions, ensuring it is implemented consistently.
- Engage and rally communications colleagues working in our regional teams to support the implementation of our global communications strategy wherever we work.
- Assess where capacity globally is lacking and help to build capacity where it is needed to realise the organisation’s global communications strategy, through training, mentorship and other forms of support.
- Participate in annual strategy review, with a view to optimising alignment with key brand objectives.
- Take ownership of international media enquiries and act as an advisor to the senior team and regional comms departments, in relation to press interest or opportunities.
- Foster appropriate media and press relationships and partnerships to promote the work of the organisation Mountain around the world.
- Using the global communications strategy, lead review and update of our key global digital communications channels and platforms, including the website, social media and newsletters.
- Review communications procedures and brand guidelines across the countries the organisation is active in, and work with in-country communications teams and management to update or create new procedures and guidelines in line with TM’s global strategy.
About You
We are looking for a Communications Manager with natural leadership qualities and an ability to build teams, whether directly under their management or within the wider organisation. You must have the ability, experience and judgement to work autonomously where required.
Key skills required for this role:
- Experience in a generalist communications role within a complex multi-national organisation.
- Experience in leading the implementation of a communications strategy.
- Demonstrable experience of high-quality copywriting in an organisation with complex messaging, and multiple diverse audiences.
- Experience writing, producing and managing social media strategies. Organic and paid.
- Experience in building press relationships and the ability to advise the senior team on how to manage press interest.
- Experience in developing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Experience in managing events and or tradeshows.
- Attested leadership in communications.
