The role

To drive the coordination and enable the practical delivery of The Spark’s early years programmes, organising the programmes efficiently and building strong stakeholder relationships.
 

Key responsibilities

Project coordination

• Coordination and delivery of The Spark Early Years programme, including the following projects - Small Wonders and Music Champions
• Plan and coordinate the delivery of projects within the timelines and budget agreed, including artist, partner and venue liaison and administration
• Support the Small Wonders lead artist in developing, recruiting to, and coordinating the parent champion element of our early years projects
• Work closely with partners (colleagues at children’s centres and libraries) to plan and agree activity schedules and dates for early years sessions in children’s centres, libraries and community venues
• Support the contracting of artists and sourcing of materials/resources for activities
• Support the planning and delivery of events (e.g. family fun days), including budgeting, scheduling, sourcing equipment and materials, delivery, and evaluation. This includes supporting the development and coordination of an early years symposium in 2025
• Coordinate and support the monitoring and evaluation of the project and support the Creative Producer in reporting.
   

Administration and communications

• Oversee the lead and support artists’ schedules
• Budget administration and monitoring
• Collate project materials for publication on various platforms (e.g. website or marketing materials) 
• Work with the wider Spark team to promote events via print and online media • Coordinate and administrate the systems for data collection, registration and permissions, with participants and partners, ensuring data collected is in line with funding requirements and GDPR regulations
• Ensure the project work operates within the context of delivering best practice around safeguarding, and that staff and volunteers work to the Spark Safeguarding Policy
• Represent The Spark at project partner or funders meetings as required.
   

General

• Work with the Creative Producer and partners to gather data and promote and celebrate learning from our projects
• Work with the Creative Producer to plan and risk assess activities (including ensuring all work adheres to best practice in terms of safeguarding)
• Attend relevant events, projects and meetings within and on behalf of The Spark Arts for Children
• Carry out the duties of the post with due regard to the organisation’s Equality and Diversity Policy and in line with core values, promoting equality, diversity, inclusion and access
• Ensure the project work operates within the context of delivering best practice in environmental responsibility in line with the organisation’s Environmental Policy

Person specification

The Spark is seeking to work with an individual that has the following knowledge and skills.
 

Essential

• At least two-years experience of working in with young children and families
• Experience of working with early years professionals in schools, children’s centres, libraries or nursery settings
• Experience and understanding of good practice in relation to child-led learning 
• Project and event coordination experience
• Budgeting skills and experience of monitoring budgets
• Experience of monitoring and evaluation, data collection, analysis and project reporting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain good contacts and relationships
• Project communication and advocacy skills, e.g. collating data and testimony and development case studies
• Good organisational skills with a flexible approach to working patterns
• Ability to prioritise workload whilst dealing with conflicting demands
• Understanding and working knowledge of Safeguarding good practice.
   

Desirable

• An understanding of the role creativity plays within early childhood development
• Experience of working alongside artists in educational or community settings
• Experience of developing training for early years practitioners and/or artists.
   

Contract type

Fixed term to 30th September 2025.
 

Salary

£28,121 FTE plus contributory stakeholder pension, pro rata for part-time.
 

Hours

Full-time 37.5 hours per week (excluding an unpaid lunch hour) plus occasional evening and weekends.
 

Location

The role is based at the LCB Depot in Leicester and will require travel to a variety of children’s centres, libraries and community settings across the city. Hybrid working Is it expected that this role will be required in the office or at activity locations in Leicester for typically 30 hours and 7.5 hours available for home working, each week.

Youth Worker (Women's Worker) – 9 Month Maternity Cover
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate team player to join our growing team as a full-time Youth Worker (Women’s Worker) on a fixed term 9-month maternity cover contract. 
In this role, you will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in sharing knowledge and expertise in gender-informed work, leading the delivery of our weekly Women and Non-Binary space, facilitating group sessions and supporting a caselist of young women experiencing multiple and complex needs.
Ideally you should be experienced in working with young people aged 18-25 and/or have demonstrable experience working directly with women (of any age). You will understand gender informed practice and have experience or transferable skills working with those who are survivors of domestic violence and other gender-based violence. You will also be committed to the safeguarding of all young people and delivering an inclusive and trauma-informed service.
You should be experienced designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities, able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment and be skilled in engaging a diverse range of young people in positive activities.

This role will be based at our day centre in Camden, with the option of remote working and some travel to New Horizon projects within London.

We are looking for a dedicated Engagement Officer for Healthwatch Stockport. Could this be you?

You will be working within the passionate team at Healthwatch Stockport to effectively engage with local people, communities who have a lived or living experience of serious mental illness and of using mental health services in Stockport.

You will be a point of contact for individuals and voluntary and community groups, to share experience, to develop meaningful communication methods and feedback the impact of their voice and involvement. You will facilitate co-production and develop approaches to support individuals and groups to be involved and engaged as partners in the development and co-design of mental health support and living well across Stockport.

Planning, Development and Communication

You will • Develop, oversee, and implement the Living Well Expert by Experience workstream plan in partnership with people who have lived experience in using mental health services.

• Promote the aims and objectives of the workstream of throughout Stockport with service users, potential users of the services and services themselves.

• Co-ordinate and undertake research and report writing activity as required. Completing reports within agreed timescales and presenting and tailoring them to a variety of stakeholders.

• Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings, working groups and other forums in relation to the workstream. Taking briefing notes, minutes and developing promotional materials as appropriate with people who use local services.

• Communicate effectively with the public and the community about activities – including meeting the specific communication needs of people from the range of target stakeholders.

• Liaise with a range of key partners across the statutory and voluntary sector to ensure the voice of people with serious mental illness lived experience has influence and has the opportunity to be included in the planning, development and all discussions regarding community mental health care provision so that services are truly codesigned.

• Participate in Healthwatch Stockport and other voluntary sector activity as required in relation to this workstream.

• Keep accurate records of all work undertaken

The Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help, which comprises Leeds Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Rosary, Chapeltown, is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to play a key role in the running of this busy Cathedral Parish.

The role  will include some evening and weekend work.

The post holder will play a key role in establishing the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.

This is a new role whichrecognises the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure. The role requires excellent people management skills and will have day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team. It has a particular focus on facilities management and a key aspect of the role will be improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room as well as the day-to-day administration of the Parish, including the parish finances and administration associated with the Sacramental Programmes. The role promises to be very rewarding and would suit an applicant who is looking for the variety of a broad role, who thrives on collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and who enjoys taking ownership of tasks. It is suited to someone who is adaptable and willing to work in a challenging environment.

The Oasis Hub Waterloo team are currently looking for a Foodbank Trusts & Corporate Fundraiser to raise much-needed funds for our Waterloo Foodbank and other strategic partners.

The successful applicant would be responsible for writing funding bids for trusts, and also developing relationships with local businesses, to increase our unrestricted corporate income.

Some of the duties of this newly created role include:

· Research and identify potential short- and long-term funders from among grant making trusts and statutory bodies.

· To prepare written applications in co-operation with and on behalf of Waterloo Foodbank projects and ensure suitable budgets are prepared.

· Develop relationships with corporate organisations that align with our values and vision that would be open to an approach for financial support.

The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate:

· Proven successful experience of fundraising.

· Understanding of the statutory and grant-making funding sector.

· Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective supporters.

· Experience of fundraising from corporates.

· Excellent written skills including writing persuasive copy for funding proposals.
