Outreach Caseworker - Newham
An Outreach Caseworker is required to work on an initial 3 month contract for one of the largest charities in the UK. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days working from home per week. Outreach shifts for this position begin at 5:30am and finish at 1:30pm, with transport provided in the morning to bring you to work.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We now have a need for two Development Officers to work closely with the Development Director and Development Manager in developing our trusts and foundations and statutory income streams, managing the accounts of existing supporters and generating income through securing new funding relationships. The Conscious Advertising Network is seeking to significantly grow its annual funding to a six figure (plus) annual budget. As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in generating financial support for CAN’s mission and programs, helping break the link between advertising and harmful content online.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and philanthropic organisations, and managing fundraising campaigns.
You will work with an existing Fundraising Consultant to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which will ensure CAN’s financial sustainability over the next 3 years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Fundraising Strategies:
· Work closely with CAN Founders and the Fundraising Consultant to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals and the 3 year organisational strategy.
· Identify and prioritise fundraising opportunities, including grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships, and events. Develop and oversee a stewardship strategy to retain and cultivate donors, and embed across CAN Founders, staff and champions.
· Work with CAN volunteers on developing CAN’s commercial model and associated funding streams.
· Significantly grow the Conscious Advertising Networks annual funding to a six figure (plus) annual budget
2. Donor & Funder Organisation Cultivation and Relationship Management:
· Cultivate and steward relationships with existing funder organisations ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
· Identify and engage prospective funders and donors through following funder open calls, targeted outreach and relationship-building activities.
3. Fundraising Campaigns and Communications:
· Work with the Fundraising Consultant and colleagues to plan and execute robust fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives, to generate revenue and raise awareness of our organisation's mission.
· Collaborate across CAN teams to develop compelling fundraising materials and messaging.
· Act as a representative for CAN to engage key audiences as required.
4. Pipeline Development, Grant Writing and Reporting:
· Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and government sources.
· Write grant proposals and applications, ensuring alignment with both CAN and funder priorities and requirements.
· Prepare regular reports for funders, providing updates on project progress and outcomes. Project managing the CAN Founders and Staff Team to ensure proper project kick offs, data gathering and sign offs.
· Writing and project managing the creation of funding bids and reports. Supporting on relationship building with funders, with support from CAN Founders, the CAN Staff Team and Fundraising Consultant.
5. Internal Processes and Reporting:
· Prepare robust fundraising forecasts for the senior team and finance colleagues, based on analysis of funding landscape and pipeline development.
· Track funder information, keeping up to date and setting a hight standard for relationship management
· Establish and support excellent administration related to each funder relationship.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector and with a provide ability to secure major grants from large-scale funders.
· Excellent knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.

About the role
The Exchange is looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and hard-working Head Gardener with a flair for plants, experience of working with communities, and a keen interest in Sarah Price’s naturalistic approach to gardens. We are delighted to be home to a fantastic Sarah Price designed garden that wraps around The Exchange building.Sarah is one of the leading garden designers of her generation with three Chelsea gold medals and a portfolio including London’s Olympic Park, Manchester’s Whitworth Art Gallery, and the Maggie’s Centre in the New Forest. The Head Gardener is responsible for the maintenance and nurturing of the garden, which was planted by local residents, and in developing a programme for volunteers that supports with this maintenance. Key responsibilities include:
- Ongoing care and maintenance of the plants and garden to ensure the successful development of the garden in line with Sarah Price’s vision.
- Liaising with Sarah Price Landscapes about changes, upkeep, and development of the garden.
- Helping co-ordinate with Sarah Price and The Exchange any additional planting.
- Creation of opportunities for interaction with the public who visit the garden.
- Establish and manage The Exchange’s sustainable compost programme.
- Plant/equipment/materials ordering.
- Developing and caring for the pelargonium collection in the greenhouse

Volunteer management
Community involvement is an essential part of what we do at The Exchange. Currently this involves a growing Volunteer Programme, where people come and learn skills from talented craftspeople, becoming part of “Making Communities”, in exchange for giving time in creating things For Community Use and/or Benefit.
In relation to the garden, volunteers are supported through skills development and learning opportunities and give their time towards the garden’s ongoing maintenance and/or enabling wider public interaction. Participation in this programme also creates other benefits including social and wellbeing. We believe that time spent with volunteers/local community sharing skills and experience is an important investment and it will be your responsibility to ensure the volunteer team is supported and valued.Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining a group of volunteers to assist in the garden.

Dartington Service Design Lab is an internationally respected social research and design charity focussed on using evidence to help those working with children and young people have a greater impact. We have over 60 years of experience working across the public and voluntary sectors to improve the lives of children and young people.
We are seeking an experienced mixed methods social researcher, with a particular interest and expertise in evaluation. Whilst the role is varied, the primary focus is the formative, developmental and summative evaluation and iterative refinement of a range ofservice-level and place-based and/or systemic change initiatives focused on improving outcomes for children, families and communities. The work involves applying mixed methods and working with an inter-disciplinary team (internally and with collaborating partners).
Approaches will be tailored depending on the needs of each project but are likely to include theory-driven approaches such as theory of change, realistevaluation and contribution analysis alongside experimental or quasi-experimental methods. The candidate need not be expert in all but must have a curiosity and willingness to learn and apply different methods in a range of contexts.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centered basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers, and creating a positive atmosphere
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging to achieve Support Plan goals
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g., budgeting, cooking, establishing a nighttime routine
Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
Managing customer referrals, completing assessments, and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.
Proactively engaging in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis
Monitoring and reporting on customer interactions, including escalation of any concerns or changes in customer's presentation or welfare.

The role:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
