Job Title: Office Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week (9.30am-5pm with 30 min break or 9am-5pm with 1 hour break)

Purpose of Role:
We opened our Day Centre for older people, adults with disabilities and adults with dementia in October 2021. The Office Manager role is a new position that will provide a wide variety of operational support to the Day Centre Leadership Team as we are embedding and growing our Day Centre offering and increasing the number of clients who attend the Day Centre and the types of services they receive.
We also support older Wandsworth residents in the following groups with outreach in the community and with activities in the Day Centre: BAME; digitally isolated; financially isolated; LGBTQ; socially isolated; women; and those with, or at risk of, mental and/or physical ill health and disabilities.

About RLS
RLS is a UK charity and a non-profit company in Greece (AMKE).
Refugee Legal Support works in solidarity with people who migrate. We operate in the UK, France and Greece, promoting and protecting rights through legal support, casework, litigation, engagement, training and partnerships. We advocate for safe migration and oppose discriminatory immigration systems and policies.
RLS has held a legal aid contract in the UK since 2023.
About the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative (APBI)
The Afghan Pro Bono Initiative is a specialist casework project delivered by RLS with funding and pro bono assistance from 14 leading commercial law firms. It is a project delivered in partnership with SPI.
Firm pro bono lawyers are trained and supervised by the project’s two full-time supervising lawyers so that they can then assist with legal casework.
APBI has two core components. The team delivers legal information and support to and within the Afghan community, working together with the Community Engagement and Research Lead to ensure wide access. While the project also provides high quality legal representation in a range of cases for this community. This includes family reunion, the ARAP scheme, the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme and others.
APBI then aims to respond to the increased need for legal information, advice and representation of Afghan nationals and their family members forced to seek protection and reunion with family in the United Kingdom following the Taliban takeover. The project is now going into its 3rd year, and won the Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership Award at the Law Works Pro Bono Awards in 2022 as well as being nominated and commended for numerous other awards in 2022 and 2023.
The casework of this project feeds into strategic research, policy and advocacy efforts to make existing ‘safe’ routes to protection (in particular refugee family reunion and resettlement schemes) more accessible and effective, advocate for their expansion and defend the fundamental rights of people on the move by influencing policy and decision making.
Litigation arising out of the project is actively pursued (where eligible) under RLS’s legal aid contract to push for better decision-making, secure results for individuals and pursue improvements in the relevant law, policy and practices.
RLS recognise that pro bono legal work is always an adjunct to, and not a substitute for, an adequate system of publicly funded legal services.
Key responsibilities and objectives
The post holder will be a staff member of Refugee Legal Support. They will be a participant within the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative project team, which comprises two lawyers (the other being at SPI), a coordinator and a Community Engagement and Research Lead in addition to the volunteer lawyers from the individual commercial firm partners.
Key responsibilities

Manage a small caseload and provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients;

Supervise the work of volunteer pro bono commercial lawyers on cases;

Deliver training to pro bono commercial lawyers;
-
Ensure that all legal work is promptly and accurate recorded on RLS’s case management system and keep relevant time recording;

Develop and disseminate relevant information on legal developments in this area for relevant stakeholders, including both the Afghan Community and building the capacity of other practitioners;

Work in close collaboration with the other project Lawyer/s to develop and share experiences and best practice in relation to all aspects of casework (legal, evidential and procedural) and relevant internal processes;

Work in close collaboration with the Legal Director, Programmes Manager and Coordinator to ensure that appropriate steps to achieve the aims and objectives of the project are taken, including ensuring that relevant data is obtained and assisting with the timely completion of the project Operational Plan/s;

Work in close collaboration with the APBI Coordinator and Programmes Manager to contribute to the production of materials such as project periodic reports, information on emerging and strategic issues in relation to ‘safe’ routes for use in advocacy, content for newsletters, social media posts and articles to raise awareness of the project and its aims and outputs;

Participate in, and contribute to, RLS’s monitoring, evaluation and learning framework;

Be an active member of the RLS team participating in team meetings at both the UK and International level: engaging in a collegiate and collaborative environment that includes participating in the development of a new and exciting legal organisation;

Person Specification
Essential

Be either a member of the Bar, a solicitor and accredited to IAAS Senior caseworker level, accredited to IAAS Senior caseworker level, or OISC accredited to Level 3;

Experience of asylum casework;

Experience of refugee family reunion procedures and applications, including applications outside of the Immigration Rules reliant on Article 8 ECHR and other human rights provisions;

Experience of online immigration applications;

Demonstrable knowledge of legal aid provision and ECF applications;

Experience of and commitment to working in a collaborative way on legal cases;

We are looking for a GP with experience of providing healthcare to excluded groups outside of regular healthcare settings to play a key clinical role in the development and delivery of services that will support equal access to primary medical services for people seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London. The outreach service will offer initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and will facilitate GP registration and, and support access to wider healthcare and support services within the area through direct referrals and signposting, and coordination with other local services and partners.
You will lead by example, with your demonstrable experience delivering person-centred, compassionate care to people seeking asylum or other excluded community, as well as deploying your effective advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking skills. The role requires emotional agility, and resilience, especially when dealing with complex situations such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, where you will draw on your experience to manage complex situations calmly and compassionately. You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, is committed to high standards of care, and will be able to work productively and constructively within a close knit team by demonstrating an open and responsive attitude and using your excellent communication skills.
You will have strong IT skills and ideally a driving licence to be able to support us to deliver our services in our dedicated mobile clinic vans. You will have the skills to work independently and manage your own and volunteers' health and safety, sometimes working alone.

Community and Engagement Manager
Position: Community and Engagement Manager

Salary Range (depending on experience): pro rata of £32,910 – £38,745 incl. OLW

Richmond AID is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person who will support our vision of putting Deaf and Disabled people at the centre of everything we do. There is a variety of skills and experience which will require someone to We are looking for someone to not just manage these services, but to lead their development and widen our coverage across the borough of Richmond. This will predominantly involve supporting the people involved to be leaders of their own projects, developing/modernising our delivery model, ensuring projects meet targets and quality standards and when required also being involved in supporting direct service delivery.

You will have strong influencing skills, and will have the right blend and balance of people skills with excellent communication and project management abilities. You must be comfortable connecting with the wider community, able to listen, gather the views of local people, and feed these back into our wider programme of work. You’ll be confident in participative strategies and tools such as facilitating groups, arranging events, developing surveys, gathering views and responding to consultations.
You will have experience of managing a team covering a wide range of projects and interests. You will know what it takes to set up and manage a project and ensure it meets the intended outcomes.
You will be skilled in managing group dynamics and supporting your team to have boundaries with clients. You will also have experience of managing Safeguarding issues. Above all you must bring a positive, solution focused attitude.
Experience of campaigning work, with a track record of delivering innovative digital campaigns that have led to real change, would be an advantage.
About Richmond AID
Richmond AID offers 25 days annual leave plus eight bank holidays pro rata. Normal office hours are 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays. You will be based at our offices in the Disability Action and Advice Centre, 4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington, TW11 8HT but may need to work from other locations as needed.

About the role
You will:
-Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people children and young people experiencing, or at risk, of homelessness. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
-Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Homelessness Outreach Project.
-You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for homeless children and young people.
Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.

Job Purpose
This is a critical role, sitting at the heart of hyh, the purpose of which is to provide high quality administrative support to the CEO, coordinate and administer the leadership and governance of the organisation and oversee the smooth running of the office.
Administration and Support for the CEO
- Be a step ahead at all times in providing executive support to the CEO including: diary organisation, making appointments, responding to invitations, dealing with correspondence, and liaising with external partners and arranging travel.

- Project support for organisation wide projects.
Leadership and governance support

Job Summary
To be the initial point of contact for customers accessing Huddersfield Mission services. To provide initial stage advice and assistance on a variety of needs. Groundswell is recruiting a Health In-Reach Navigator to join our Health Promotion Team to arrange, develop and run Health Promotion In-Reach sessions in homelessness services across London.
We know that if you are experiencing homelessness, you will be disproportionately affected by health inequalities and often lack access to suitable information and support that could help you independently manage your health and wellbeing. Our approach:

Everyone has a right to access healthcare including screening and preventative services.

Health and wellbeing look different for everyone. Health promotion should not alienate people by setting standards that are unattainable but should support them to look at what they can practically do to feel better right now.

Everyone’s ‘normal’ is different. Someone who is smoking crack or who is dependent on alcohol might have bodily functions that are different to what is ‘normal’ for the average person. People need to be aware of their own ‘normal’ so that they know when something is wrong.
The Health In-Reach Navigator will be working with the teams in hostels and day centres, going to the places where people live or go to access vital services like food and showers. Ideally, they will have their own first-hand experience of using or working in services supporting people around homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, poverty, asylum and immigration, or the criminal justice system.
Our services are co-produced by people with first-hand experience of the issues we are trying to address.
The Navigator should be comfortable with continuously evolving and adapting the service, tailoring it to the specific needs of the people we work with, developing sessions informed by direct feedback and direction from people living in hostels and using homelessness Day Centres.
Our Health Promotion Work
The Health Promotion Team:

Deliver group ‘in-reach’ sessions led by staff and volunteers with first-hand experience of homelessness, using health promotion resources to engage people with health issues and talk to them about options available.

Support clinical services going into hostels and day centres to deliver preventative health measures such as screening and vaccinations.

Co-produce and support the development of accessible health promotion resources about health services and health issues with people who have experienced homelessness that inform, advise, and help people manage their health.

Co-produce health and wellbeing resources for staff working within the homelessness sector, better equipping them to support the people who use their services and improve longer term health outcomes.

Contribute to producing resources for staff working in healthcare, better equipping them to understand the challenges that people experiencing homelessness might face in accessing services.
We have a range of accessible, targeted materials around vaccination, screening and other health issues that can be used by our team and supported accommodation staff to support sessions. We are planning to develop more of these, particularly looking at screening and rights to access healthcare.

The Health Promotion team also work with a range of external partners around screening and preventive care.
We work with partners to arrange health events at homelessness services; promoting the sessions by talking to residents prior to teams visiting and supporting on the day to maximise uptake.
About HHPA
Our Health Promotion work sits alongside our Homeless Health Peer Advocacy (HHPA) Program. Groundswell created HHPA in Westminster in 2010, to support people experiencing homelessness to overcome multiple barriers preventing access to healthcare, initially through funding from the NHS Regional Innovation Fund. Since then, HHPA has since flourished into a multi award-winning service working across London.
Health creates a foundation to move out of homelessness. Groundswell’s person led health services enable people who are homeless to access the health care they need, so they are not disadvantaged by the health inequalities embedded in our systems. Our health work is delivered by a team where most people have their own experience of homelessness, shared experience builds up a level of trust when there can be mistrust of ‘professionals’, because of past trauma or negative experiences.
The service is delivered by volunteer Peer Advocates and staff Case Workers, who build trusting relationships with clients and support them to access, navigate and use healthcare services. They aim to increase people’s self-confidence and improve their ability to independently access the services they need, which can include everything from registering for a GP, dentistry treatment, mental health referrals, hospital appointments, and much more.
Groundswell is unique in bridging the divide between health and homelessness organisations. We work in partnership with numerous organisations across London to support the delivery of our peer advocacy service.
Health In-reach Navigator Tasks
The Health In-Reach Navigator will be a vital member of our team, working collaboratively with various partners and agencies to deliver In-Reach sessions and connect individuals experiencing homelessness with essential healthcare services. This position offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
Lead on planning and delivery of health promotion sessions working with key stakeholders to shape sessions:

Develop and maintain links with hostels, Day Centres, and health teams in the Boroughs where Groundswell works to identify suitable services for delivery of health promotion work.

Working with people using services, and staff working in services; identify health priorities and plan, design and deliver sessions that reflect those priorities, tailoring them to people’s needs.

Work with staff at services to ensure risk assessments are in place.

Work with the Health Promotion Manager to create ways of getting feedback from participants to ensure the sessions are continuously being developed to meet people’s needs.
Plan, promote and deliver one off health & well-being events with stakeholders:
