The VCSE Strategic Lead for Living Well and Wider Wellbeing is an exciting new role that will be focused on ensuring that the VCSE sector has voice and influence so that Salford people are supported to live well, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
The role will be aligned with Salford’s Living Well programme and the city’s Mental Health Collaborative. These are the cornerstones of the design and development of innovative solutions to adult mental health provision in the City. As well as the alignment with Living Well, the lead will also focus on creative health, placed-based working, and physical activity.
The Strategic Lead will work across a broad spectrum of VCSE and public sector partners that design, commission, or deliver activities and services that support the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Salfordians. This spectrum includes NHS Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, Salford City Council, START, Mind in Salford, Salford Community Leisure, Salford Sport, and Physical Activity Alliance.
The Strategic Lead will play a key role in ensuring that there is collaborative working and effective communication within Living Well. This also includes key stakeholders, strategic partners in Salford, Local Authority, VCSE, and NHS organisations.
Living Well
Living Well is an innovative new service created and delivered by a partnership between START, Mind (Salford), Six Degrees, and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust. A multi-agency team, collaborating to provide positive, humanistic, and safe experiences for those experiencing poor mental health who are unable to meet the threshold for community mental health services.
This post requires an enhanced level DBS check.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate extensive experience of building multi-sectoral partnerships and relationships, as well as having outstanding communication skills. They will also have a clear understanding of the VCSE sector, preferably in Salford, and mental health and wellbeing context across Greater Manchester.

Partnership Manager - Wales
Location: The role will be based out of the BookTrust Offices in Cardiff. Terms and Conditions
- Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkstone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region. Up to two days a week in our Folkstone Office might be initially required.We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. As a Researcher, you will be running elements of our research programmes, as well as managing client accounts and providing them with consultancy support. This will include advising charity clients on what the results mean for their organisation and how to make the best of their research.
The Researcher will be a core member of the Public Audiences team, working on our regular tracking research in the UK, Ireland and Canada, as well as on bespoke projects. In practice, this means working on a wide variety of topics and using many different research methodologies to help charities make better decisions. Key topics we cover in our research and outputs include brand, communications, fundraising, reputation and trust.
Many charities subscribe to our regular tracking research, which primarily focuses on research with the general public and MPs. Some charities need more bespoke research, which would involve the team working closely with clients to help understand their needs and to design research projects to meet their objectives. This type of work could include: online surveys to measure people’s attitudes on social issues to influence the development of a campaign; interviews with service users to explore the impact of their services; focus groups to test understanding of a charity’s brand and communication; or supporter satisfaction surveys to understand the motivations and retention of supporters.
nfpResearch is based in Spitalfields, near Liverpool Street. We adopt a flexible working environment, enabling staff to work both at home and in the office. We require one day a month in the office at least, though the successful candidate may be expected to work in-office on additional days throughout the year for training or events, etc. nfpResearch operates a 100-90-100 working policy. Who we are looking for:
This post would be ideally suited to somebody with a minimum of one years experience in a market or social research related role, with a strong interest in, or experience of, the charity sector.

Role overview:
After two years of coalition-building with partners, we have developed a network of relationships with human rights activists and groups in El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia, the Philippines and elsewhere. We are looking for a strong organiser and human rights advocate to continue building this network and help other groups organise to create impact.
We aim to facilitate civil society groups’ engagement with UN and regional human rights bodies, support grassroots-led research projects through small grants, and facilitate collaborations on shared advocacy projects.
This position reports to the Executive Director and supervises the work of the Eastern Africa Human Rights Assistant (EAHRA).
Person specification:
· Degree in law, human rights, public policy, international development or another relevant field.
· Fluency in spoken and written Spanish as well as English.
· A minimum of 4 years of experience in international human rights advocacy or relevant community organising, including at least some experience in building or leading coalitions.
· Experience in designing and implementing effective plans to achieve reforms.
· Familiarity with the social and political landscape of at least one country in Latin America.

This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of Growth will have oversight of Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth within the charity. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:
- Working as part of the Senior Leadership team to strategically support the running of the charity.

About the role:
The Young Women’s Keyworker will work with young women aged 15-24 to provide specialist 1:1 support to those referred into the service. The service is designed to be a “whole system” response to women and girls in the Criminal Justice System, so a key part of the role will include building relationships with statutory and VCS agencies, to support and encourage more young women to access the Minerva service, as well as setting up specialist referral pathways for young women in the community.
About You:
To be successful as the Young Women’s Keyworker you will:
Bring an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the Criminal Justice System. Have a strong understanding of the context and challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic violence, mental health, and sexual health.
Bring a significant experience of working with young women experiencing issues related to offending and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and have proven practical experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques with young women and girls, using a woman-centred approach to build trust and rapport. You will demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, developing and maintaining strong constructive working relationships.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties
This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.
The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we support.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising Overview
- Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
- Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
- Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
- Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.
Supporter Engagement and Stewardship
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
- To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
- Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK
Database Management
- To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
- Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
- Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
- Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.
Individual Giving
- Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Lead the growth of CT100 monthly giving.
- Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.
Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns
- Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
- Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
- Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals
Staff and Volunteers
- Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
- Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.
Wider organisational responsibilities
- Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Operations.
- Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of The Cinnamon Trust
