About the Operations and Facilities Assistant role
We are seeking an Operations and Facilities Assistant to work closely with the Senior Operations & Facilities Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the organisation’s administrative systems and day to day activities.
This role supports the work of the whole organisation – acting as our receptionist, as well as supporting on a wide range of administrative tasks across HR, systems, IT, and building management.
The Operations & Facilities Assistant will often be the first point of contact for the internal Helpdesk, playing a key role in responding effectively to enquiries, as well as supporting key projects within the Operations and Facilities team.
About you
We’re looking for someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and well as good project management abilities. You’ll need to be able to manage multiple competing priorities, have strong research skills, and be keen to learn and innovate. You’ll be a good problem solver and have strong judgment as well as an awareness of risk. You’ll need to have good resilience and self-care, and be prepared to work in an environment where abuse and violence are regularly talked about. You’ll need to understand the impact of trauma and how that affects our frontline staff.

We're looking for a keen and motivated Training Administrator to join our small, friendly team at our head office in Rugby. You'll be working closely with our Training Manager and ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) Training Project Manager, facilitating the smooth delivery of workshops, events and meetings, advertising and promoting training workshops and preparing training delivery and feedback reports. The Survivors Trust provides a range of workshops and training opportunities for professionals working with victims and survivors of sexual violence and sexual abuse.
You will provide high level administrative support for the Training Manager and ISVA Training Project Manager, overseeing training bookings and maintaining a database of trainees on our CRM (Beacon). You will be responsible for collecting and collating feedback from training attendees and preparing reports to support training delivery. Working in collaboration with the Training Team you will support the advertising and marketing of training opportunities including updating relevant website content.
You will also maintain accurate records of training and project delivery, including budgets and impact measures data for both internal and external stakeholders. Part of your role will include gathering statistics for monitoring and reporting processes.
You will ideally have previous experience of administration in a training setting and/or working in the voluntary sector but please don't be put off applying if you don't meet all requirements. The right candidate will be an effective communcator in a friendly and professional manner, with excellent IT skills including CRM and LMS.
You will be required to complete DBS clearance to work at The Survivors Trust.
Hours - full time, 35 hours per week. Job share would be considered. Hours are flexible.

The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial health and sustainability of Saferworld with a specific focus area on Saferworld Europe (Registered in Belgium) and managing and overseeing the financial aspects of EC-funded projects. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the role is one three Finance Business Partner functions that work closely together to provide support across the breadth of Saferworld’s global footprint.
This position involves providing strategic financial guidance, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting programme managers in financial planning and analysis. It will also involve ensuring compliance with related regulations and providing financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting as required.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, relevant country teams, the global finance team and external auditors to ensure the effective and efficient use of EC funds and the smooth financial operation of Saferworld Europe. As a Finance Business Partner, the successful candidate will be adaptable, proactive and engaging, working across the finance team collaboratively when needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop and manage, in collaboration, annual budgets and multi-year financial plans.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to programme managers and senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics and programme and grant performance including tracking of match funding.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Prepare and maintain detailed budgets for programmes and projects through engagement with relevant country Finance Managers.
• Assist the Director of Finance and Operations in the preparation of annual budgets and multi-year financial plans
• Conduct regular budget reviews and re-forecasts to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Work with project managers to prepare budget amendments and re-forecasts as necessary
• Identify and analyse variances between actual and budgeted financial results.
• Manage optimising currency considerations.
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with EU regulations and organisational policies.
• Manage annual Saferworld Europe audit and related project audits.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of financial reports to donors and stakeholders.
Grant Management:
• Oversee financial aspects of grant management, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and financial regulations.
• Collaborate with programme managers to track and report on grant expenditures.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Act as a financial advisor to programme managers and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support financial planning and resource allocation.
• Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Risk Management and Compliance:
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with programmes and projects.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.

Knowledge, qualifications and experience
· Experience working as a finance business partner/senior management position in the charity sector, ideally within a matrix organisation structure.
· Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting with a mix of restricted and unrestricted funds, including budget development, monitoring and accounting.
· A professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred.
· Demonstrable experience working on EU funded projects and within European country contexts is a pre-requisite for the role.
· Experience of project management across an organisation including an ability and willingness to undertake 'hands-on' tasks such as preparing budgets, cash flows and other financial planning, management and control processes
· Understanding of key operational and strategic considerations relating to institutional fundraising, grant making processes, donor reporting requirements, financial reporting with institutional donors

What the role looks like
The Financial Education Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding schools to embed our free financial education resources into primary school classrooms. You will have an excellent understanding of the challenges and pressures that exist within a primary school environment. You will be able to generate enthusiasm for financial education, as well as develop strong relationships with schools and other project collaborators. You will achieve this by proactively researching, networking, and making connections with schools in London and the Southeast region. You will speak to stakeholders, including teachers and school leadership, to promote our programme. Once they have registered, you will then train the teachers and school staff on how to incorporate our resources flexibly into their classrooms. The Financial Education Delivery Coordinator will need to work flexibly with each school to best meet their needs, according to our policies and guidelines. Reporting the progress of the various programmes is a key part of the role and the ability to collate data, identify risks, and meet deadlines is crucial.
As a part of the broader Programmes and Innovation department, this role is a creative opportunity to develop new ideas and ways of delivering financial literacy to primary schools. Dad Matters is a PAIR (Parent and Infant Relationship) project specifically for Dads during the peri-natal period (conception to a child’s 2nd birthday). Primarily the project aims to raise awareness amongst dads, the wider community, and other professionals of the importance of:

This role aims to widen the projects impact by reaching more Dads This will involve increasing participation in classes and events and delivering 1-1 support to dads referred into the service. Our GOF team sits within the larger operations function under the Director of Finance & Operations. The team is responsible for managing Elrha's financial planning, management and reporting; and leads on the operational aspects of grant management.
As our new Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our programmes and activities run smoothly and efficiently. Supporting the Head of GOF, you will complete financial activities and reports, manage statutory and project audits plus develop (and improve) financial management processes.
You will be analytical, resourceful and have strong technical accounting, financial management and reporting experience. It is essential that you are either a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in the financial management of grants from institutional donors within the International Aid Sector.
- Experience of managing restricted expenditure and reporting to institutional donors.
- Experience in the management of budgets and financial management information with complex funding arrangements.

You will also manage our team of freelance coaches and play a key role in project management and smooth running of our coaching programmes.

We are seeking an experienced volunteer and community engagement professional with a genuine passion for nature and climate to help deliver our new WASH project.
Norton Hall is a small, but growing charity with a vibrant team based in and working with the community of Wash wood Heath, in East Birmingham. The WASH will be based at our Dolphin Women’s Centre in Ward End Park; a much valued, Green Flag accredited 54-acre public space with a Lake and the Wash Brook.
Thanks to National Lottery players, Norton Hall has received a five-year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.
The funding will be used to engage our local community in nature and climate learning activities, connecting them with the rural environment, increasing their connection to their surroundings and encouraging them to understand what it means to them. Shaped by volunteers, service users and partners, the WASH aims to see improvements in everyday lives, including food and growing skills, career opportunities, improved mental and physical health, and confidence building.
To succeed in this role, you will have good experience of supporting volunteers from a range of backgrounds and delivering community events, ideally within an inner city setting. Your interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to develop excellent relationships with community, organisations, volunteers, partners and beneficiaries.
You will be a self-motivated individual, whose organisational skills will help you ensure that our volunteers have everything to fulfil their roles and to help achieve project objectives. Ideally you will have had experience of involving volunteers and service users in decision making and ideally you will speak Urdu which is our main community language.
