About the role
The Digital Fundraising Acquisition Lead at Sightsavers is responsible for leading efforts to scale online supporter acquisition. This includes leading global paid social strategy, leveraging data insights to optimize performance and reach, and will also focus on the continuous improvement of digital journeys for our DRTV (digital response TV advertising) programme, ensuring data-informed optimisation. Working in close partnership with global teams, external agencies, and key stakeholders is essential to achieving ambitious growth targets for our supporter base.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning of digital acquisition strategies, aligned with overall goals.
- Develop and execute the global paid social media strategy to acquire new supporters and maximise ROI, working closely with colleagues and media agencies.
- Optimise digital supporter journeys for the DRTV programme, ensuring seamless integration and high conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the Insight and Optimisation team to improve digital touchpoints, championing a data-led approach.
- Oversee the execution of digital campaigns, including creative briefs, media plans, and budget optimisation.
- Support other digital campaigns and contribute to broader fundraising strategies.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling digital assets, particularly videos.
- Set and manage targets and budgets, reforecasting based on performance.

About you
As the Digital Fundraising Acquisition Lead, you will be an experienced digital fundraiser with a proven track record in driving growth through acquisition campaigns. You will possess exceptional relationship skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including creative, media, and fundraising.
Highly motivated and results-oriented, you will have a passion for supporter-centric digital fundraising and the ability to optimise digital journeys to deliver outstanding results. Your expertise will ensure seamless campaign execution and drive significant growth in our supporter base.
Required knowledge, skills and experience
- Proven experience at a senior level in digital fundraising or marketing, ideally with experience leading paid social strategy and / or experience of working on digital journeys for Direct Response TV campaigns.
- Excellent understanding of individual giving and how to grow digital income.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and platforms, particularly paid media.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to inform decision-making.

Primary Duties:

Lead on developing and executing our digital fundraising strategy: working with our Digital Communications Manager to make sure it aligns with and feeds into our wider organisational digital strategy, as well as with the Head of Development to make sure it aligns with our wider fundraising strategy.

Management of our new CRM: we are in the process of selecting a new CRM solution to support fundraising at THL UK. This role will initially take responsibility for getting this implemented and embedded in the organisation, and then take on the day-to-day management and responsibility of the CRM to make sure we utilise the platform to its full potential and resolve any challenges or issues.

Coordinating our end of year fundraising appeal: our biggest of the year, working with our Digital Fundraiser to develop engaging content and communications, and with our Major Gifts Fundraiser and Head of Development to secure match funds and major gifts, to ensure we secure valuable income each year (this appeal raised over £100k in 2024). You’ll help set and track the targets and metrics for the campaign, and conduct post-campaign analysis to capture what we learn to inform our future activities.

With a focus on acquisition, retention, and conversion, work with our Digital Communications Manager to map out and develop donor journeys as part of our wider supporter journeys, using technological solutions to ensure supporters are progressing effectively.

Regularly assess and analyse supporter and donor data, using these insights to shape our strategy and activities. This includes monitoring engagement levels across various touch points, such as donating, volunteering, taking digital actions, or engaging with our communications, as well as evaluating segmentation and targeting of key audiences. Identify the data needed to inform decision-making and establish mechanisms to capture it effectively.

Work with the Finance Operations Lead to make sure all supporter and donation data in our CRM is accurate, complete and up-to-date: this includes ensuring that Gift Aid claims are regularly made, donation data is regularly reconciled with our finance system, that we have a holistic picture of our supporters, and we have a regular programme of data cleansing in place.

Ensure our donation processes are optimised: allowing us to minimise any possible friction on our donation pages and increase the percentage of those going on to make a donation. Ensuring that we have processes in place to capture abandoned baskets and failed payments, and any technical issues which could disrupt our ability to collect payments are monitored and resolved quickly, working with our technical partners or external experts where necessary.

Oversee the development of any new donation pages or donor data collection forms: whether those are created in-house or by an external consult or agency.

Make sure THL UK team members are getting what they need from our CRM and technical solutions. Ensuring that they are using systems correctly and consistently, to avoid poor practices which might result in bad data or sub-optimal functionality. Including access and user permissions, notifications and alerts for new donors and donations, training and support, and access to dashboards and reports needed to inform their work.

Manage any external support required to optimise our CRM and technological solutions: including our CRM partner, payment processing partner and any additional consultants or third parties. Work with them to make sure any technical issues or significant architectural changes are addressed.

Provide day-to-day support to our Digital Fundraiser: offering advice and guidance, working with them on campaigns and communications to help us achieve the goals as set out in our digital fundraising strategy, including regular pushes for key income streams such as regular giving.

Make sure we optimise any available budget to increase acquisition and conversion to help us achieve our strategic goals.

Keep colleagues up-to-date on our digital fundraising plans and make sure those plans are fed into our organisation-wide planning tools.

Hours:
This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. The pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, to be worked across Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) are the world standard for preventing further life changing fractures once a person has suffered their first broken bone. We’ve succeeded in getting FLS mandated in England and Wales, and we are now poised to play an ambitious, pro-active role in the rollout of Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) in England and to work with services in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to embed high quality FLS. This is an exciting new role to lead our work to support the roll out of universal, high quality FLS, preventing 74,000 fractures over the next five years, including 31,000 life-threatening hip fractures.
You will develop and manage an ambitious programme to influence and support the implementation of new FLS across the UK, developing and rolling out a major new FLS implementation programme to achieve 100% FLS coverage in England by 2030 ensuring FLS meet recognised quality standards.
Working with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and Health Boards, you will use data and analysis to make the case for FLS to local commissioners, providing the support and tools local clinical leaders need to secure agreement for implementing FLS in their area.

Context for the commission
In late 2023, the Board of Trustees agreed a forward plan, setting out the charity’s objectives and the activities we plan to deliver over the next 3-5 years. Our work is guided by 5 high-level, strategic objectives. We aim that by 2028:

Overview of role
The evaluation specialist will be required to support Deaf Unity’s CEO and Training & Services Manager in developing an appropriate evaluation framework and action plan to be applied across the breadth of the charity’s activities, with supporting materials (e.g. questionnaires; interview prompts; other approaches). This is in the context of projects that often serve the deaf community, where written responses to feedback forms/online surveys are not always appropriate.
The consultant will support the leadership team to put in place training (not included in the fee) and systems to ensure that freelance teams delivering Deaf Unity’s project and training activities have the necessary understanding, guidance and confidence to support effective monitoring and evaluation of these activities.
Elements of Deaf Unity’s work to be included in this framework are:

We’re seeking a dedicated Community & Events Co-ordinator to lead and nurture our vibrant network of volunteers—our “Community Guardians”—who serve as local advocates and citizen scientists. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind volunteer engagement and training, ensuring our Community Guardians are well-equipped to collect vital environmental data and champion our mission in their local communities. You will also forge strong relationships with our Reps, trusted partners who deliver regular activity-based litter picks and water quality testing, and support the organisation of inspiring events that connect communities, public audiences, and brand partners. Key responsibilities:
● Volunteer Engagement: Develop, manage, and inspire a dynamic community of volunteers. Ensure that Community Guardians and Reps feel supported, valued, and equipped to drive local change.
● Partnership & Rep Management: Collaborate closely with our Reps to plan and execute high-quality events. Provide guidance to ensure every event reflects Planet Patrol’s mission and delivers tangible impact.
● Event Co-ordination: Organise and manage corporate and community events from conception to execution. Utilise strong project management skills, working closely with the Partnerships Manager where appropriate, to oversee logistics, budgets, and outcomes.
● Communications: Represent Planet Patrol at events and through our digital platforms. Share the impactful stories of our Community Guardians and Reps, enhancing public engagement and amplifying our message.
● Performance Monitoring: Track and report on community engagement initiatives, using data and feedback to refine strategies and ensure ongoing success.
● Administrative Support: Maintain up-to-date volunteer records in our CRM and ensure compliance with GDPR. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the wider team.
Role requirements:
● A natural people person with proven experience in coordinating community-based activities.
● Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
● Passion for environmental causes, particularly in reducing pollution and protecting waterways.
● A commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion.
● Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and networks within local communities.
● Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and abroad to engage with volunteers and partners. Some weekend working required.
● Legal right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
● A full UK driving license would be preferred.

This is an incredible role at a prominent assistance dog charity where your role will be a part of our essential work that transforms lives every day.
What you will do:
This unique role sits at the heart of our organisation, where you will manage applications from people with disabilities for Canine Partners’ dogs. Your role within the applications team is pivotal to the journey for those applying for an assistance dog. Using excellent communication skills, you will manage all applications for Canine Partners' dogs from initial contact, through to assessment and decision making, ensuring collection of adequate information regarding applicants to facilitate matching with the best suited dog.
Leading a small team, you will assess applicants, lead applications panel meetings, manage our communications with applicants, support, train and manage our network of contracted Occupational Therapists. You will also oversee any reopening of our waiting list, ensuring a fair and transparent process. Working collaboratively across our operations team, you will assist our dog training and partnership teams to establish how best to support our applicants and partners throughout their application and subsequent time with our amazing dogs.

What we’re looking for:
• Understanding of human disabilities and associated care needs.
• Experience in training, teaching, instructing or guiding others of all abilities.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills, using empathy and understanding to interact with a wide range of people.
• The ability to have difficult conversations and make challenging decisions.
• Physical ability or knowledge on handling large breed dogs (training can be provided).
• People management skills.
• ICT skills (MS Office etc.)
• Willing and able to learn Canine Partners’ dog handling methods and learn how to instruct beneficiaries in this handling.
• Most importantly, you will be passionate about the transformative impact that our assistance dogs provide to our beneficiaries.

Claimable expenses for business travel as required. We will provide a laptop and mobile phone for use in the role.
