The role of Project Administrator is a permanent position. We will consider applications for the role on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

The focus of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the Household Energy Services (HES) team by providing team-wide administrative support and taking responsibility for coordination of daily and weekly tasks, maintaining accurate and detailed records, whilst overseeing processes and procedures that ensure HES is compliant with GDPR and Health and Safety requirements. You will work across our fuel poverty and retrofit projects supporting project managers and key staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time however part-time will be considered, (minimum of 22.5 - 37.5 hours per week).
• The salary for the role will be £29,864 - £32,816.
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.
• Make outbound calls to clients when required, such as booking home visits, and keeping client records up to date.
• Support HES team annual leave process, checking managers have approved internal team requests and updating allocations against projects on the staff planner.
• Manage and keep track of HES subscriptions to services or packages and coordinate payments and purchase orders with project managers. Make sure any details and logins are GDPR compliant.
• Responsibility for HES complaints handling procedure – providing guidance to managers handling complaints to ensure adherence to policy and tracking and recording responses.
• Support senior HES managers with recruitment work; liaising with appropriate teams within CSE in producing HES recruitment materials; onboarding new HES starters including providing thorough team specific information for line managers.
• Support senior HES managers with probations and interim review meetings; tracking progress towards probations. Tracking progress towards appraisal SMART objectives with support from the line manager.
• Be a GDPR champion for the HES team. Working with CSE’s GDPR officer and project managers to ensure procedures are compliant.
• Take a proactive approach to problem solving. Influence and contribute to improving HES systems and processes.
• Supervise and mentor the HES Project Administrator, support their learning and taking ownership for ensuring consistency of HES admin provision.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Faculty Planning and Events Associate Director.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll demonstrate excellent organisation, programme and project management skills. You'll be an excellent communicator and have proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with different audiences of varying seniority. 

We are looking for someone who is a real team player and able to lead teams working in a matrix team structure. Whilst an understanding of facilitator best practice and experience of timetabling a high volume of events, all with different requirements is desirable, these are not essential criteria for applying for the role and relevant training will be provided.

The project support officer will support the brilliant work of our Wilder Landscapes team, a small but very active team within Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s conservation department. About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London’s leading food redistribution charity, dedicated to ensuring good food is never wasted and no one goes hungry. Last year, our nearly 180 staff and over 15,000 volunteers collected 32 million meals of surplus food, distributing it to Londoners in need through a network of over 1,100 community organisations, charities, and schools.

In London, one in five households with children lack reliable access to nutritious food, while the UK wastes 20 tonnes of food per second. The cost of living in London has risen by 24% in the last three years, and food prices continue to climb. About 14% of working families have turned to food support services for the first time in the past year, and 100,000 London families have less than £3 a day for food.

Our work has never been more needed, and demand continues to grow: we are building our expertise and impact in response. The Felix Project now operates from four main depots in North, South, East, and West London, with ‘point-to-point’ projects in Central London and Canary Wharf. The Health & Safety Assistant will support the Health & Safety Lead in ensuring that The Felix Project complies with all relevant health, safety, and food safety legislation. The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. The role will involve travel to international programme locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support the Head of Operations to provide finance team leadership, develop and deliver an annual finance workplan to ensure continual improvement, and to drive finance capacity across the organisation
• To ensure the effective financial management of the organisation create and maintain effective financial control

Operations Manager

What you will do:

• Proactively look for opportunities to recruit volunteers with lived experience of Disability, by promoting our volunteering opportunities across the borough, supporting stalls at community events and contributing articles celebrating volunteer achievements in our monthly newsletter and on our social media.

Home-Start Bradford District offers a unique service, recruiting and training volunteers who have parenting experience themselves to visit families with at least one child under five in their homes, offering informal, friendly and confidential support designed to increase the confidence and independence of families.

With a 25 year track record of delivering valued support to families and children in the area, Home-Start Bradford District is looking for a Business Manager (Co-leader) to bring a broad range of skills and experience which will develop and support the charity through its next phase of development. Working alongside our Operations Manager to co-lead the charity, you will together ensure that Home-Start Bradford District achieves its charitable objectives, working closely with the Board of Trustees to lead the team, implementing and continuing to develop the charity’s Strategic Plan, and ensuring that the necessary resources are in place to maintain the sustainability of the organisation.

The Business Manager will lead on the development and implementation of income generation, the financial management of the charity, the processes and administrative needs of the team, data and reporting, and the charity’s governance and legal obligations. They will need to make their mark quickly, identifying and generating new sources of income, with a particular focus on seeking commercial or unrestricted income.

Based in our Advocacy and Campaigns team the Senior Policy Officer will be responsible for delivering our Social Mobility Employer Index and support the development of our wider policy positions and campaigns work. 

Growing the influence and impact of the Index is a key strategic priority within ambition two, and this role will help achieve that by ensuring we continue to develop our knowledge and to influence and improve employer-led social mobility. You’ll be responsible for project managing and delivering core components of the Index including the marking, design and delivery of the survey, which we use to gather employer data and the feedback reports, which we share with entrants. You’ll ensure the documents evolve with best practice and in line with our work with young people. Working with others you’ll deliver the annual key findings report, ultimately helping improve employer led social mobility in the UK. 

Alongside the Index you’ll play a key role in developing policy positions for our political influencing campaigns. You’ll support our internal knowledge hub, drawing insights from our Aspiring Professionals Programme, wider research and focus groups with our young people and share external developments to ensure we have robust, youth-led positions. You’ll analyse evidence and help carve out our unique point of view on how we can improve social mobility in the UK.  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the project management and delivery of the Index including development of policy positions and best practice, questionnaire design, employer feedback reports. 
• Lead the annual review of the Index assessing the impact it’s had on driving employer behaviour and update our measurement and evaluation metrics accordingly. 
• Ensure documents are reviewed annually and updated to reflect the latest best practice and insights from our wider interventions.  
• Co-ordinate the different individuals and teams working across the Index to deliver the annual key findings report. 
• Utilising our political monitoring service and our relations with employers, stay across updates from key stakeholders such as the Social Mobility Commission, the wider sector and employer research, utilising these insights to update our policy positions and develop our advice to employers. 
• Undertake rapid scans of various types of data and evidence; produce summaries of the main findings and implications for policy and generate ideas for further policy opportunities. 
• Present findings internally and support fundraising colleagues with the insights, tools, and knowledge to develop new products that can influence employer behaviour.  
• Create resources for the wider organisation to ensure our evidence base and policy positions are understood, up to date and consistently used across teams.  
• Attend relevant conferences, stakeholder meetings and gather intelligence, raising our profile and influencing where appropriate.  
• Support the Campaigns Officer (media) and Campaigns Officer (public affairs) with the insights required for political and media interventions. E.g. briefing MPs and creating briefing materials for media interviews. 
• Administrative tasks as needed.  

Essential skills and experience

• Experience of developing policy positions for an organisation. 
• Experience in translating research into insights and using that to inform positions. 
• Experience of analysing and interpreting data sets to develop policy positions.  
• Excellent written and oral communication and influencing skills.  
• Experience of project management.  
• A problem-solving mindset - you assess the quality of your own ideas and ask questions about others’ ideas and proposals, devising solution options with costs/benefits and risks where appropriate.

Reporting to the Director of Care and based at our Kentown Care Team office in Lancaster, you will work in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, specifically Together for Short Lives to lead the project and to raise awareness of the programme and of children’s palliative care.

You will take responsibility for delivering a high-quality family support service, managing the Kentown Family Support Team and will be a member of the Rainbow Trust Care Managers group, contributing to service development across the wider organisation and providing management and leadership to the team in relation to all safeguarding issues.

With support from your manager and in consultation with the other regional Programme Managers, you will translate our annual programme strategy into a robust cross-regional implementation plan covering both programme design and operations and make tangible improvements to enhance efficiency and impact across our regions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are delivered as planned, to a high standard in line with best practice and cohesively across regions, and that regional objectives and targets in the North West are achieved.

• Lead Action for Conservation’s work in the North West, ensuring that regional targets and objectives are achieved and supporting the expansion of our programmes and projects in line with our organisational strategy.
