We are looking for a Volunteering Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract. The charity is hugely grateful for the important contributions of its dedicated volunteers. The Volunteering Manager will play the critical role, with the support of the Assistant Director of Operations, in ensuring the effective recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers at IntoUniversity – this will include supporting with initial recruitment and training (working closely with local to IntoUniversity teams to deliver this), ensuring that all volunteers across the charity are valued for the talents that they bring, and that the ethos and values of the charity are demonstrated in all aspects of the charity’s volunteering.

Working hours
09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. However, we operate core working hours in Head Office so you can choose to start early and finish early (e.g. 8:00 to 16.30), or start later and finish later (e.g. 9.30 to 18:00).
We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our Head Office team is based on the site of our North Kensington centre in West London. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: we are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Our Head Office team works in-person 4 days per week with 1 day from home.

What will my main duties be?
With the support of the Assistant Director of Operations:
Volunteer recruitment:
- To develop a volunteer recruitment plan to meet programme and organisational need; and to work closely with the corporate partnerships team and programme and regional managers to implement the recruitment plan, for example working with the Heads of Mentoring to implement a university student recruitment plan for the Mentoring programme
- To deliver guidance and training to support local IntoUniversity centres to implement the recruitment plan, including working with universities and community organisations
- To manage volunteer enquiries and national recruitment channels, such as volunteering sites and networks
Volunteer onboarding
- To use the charity’s Salesforce database to manage the volunteer pipeline - from application, to selection and training, to centre allocation
- To manage the process of onboarding steps including application form, training, Safer Recruitment checks, and support local IntoUniversity centres to implement the onboarding process consistently
- To work with the programmes and delivery team to ensure efficient induction takes place and to ensure staff are recording all volunteering activity on Salesforce
Volunteer training
- To implement a high-quality volunteer training programme for regular volunteer roles, including: organisation of a training schedule and staffing; facilitation of training (alongside delivery staff); providing guidance and training to staff to deliver volunteer training; reviewing training resources and facilitation
Volunteer experience:
- To provide support, resources, and training to centre staff and programme managers to ensure quality volunteer management throughout the volunteer lifecycle
- To implement volunteer development and recognition strategies to ensure volunteers feel valued as part of the IntoUniversity team and to support centre teams to build lasting relationships with volunteers to support retention
- To develop best practice in volunteering across IntoUniversity, including reviewing and evaluating current practice in the sector
Internal collaboration
To drive a joined up approach to managing volunteering within the charity, including:
- To work with the HR team to align staff and volunteer policies and processes, and support local teams to implement them consistently across the network
- To work with the Corporate Partnerships team to offer successful corporate volunteer roles
- To work with the Communications team to develop an online presence and resources promoting volunteering
Organisational wide

The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Registration and International Policy Manager to join our team, playing a critical role in shaping policies that impact the future of pharmacy professionals. You will provide advice in relation to registration, regulatory and legislative developments at a UK level and internationally, ensuring that the GPhC keeps track of, and responds to, external issues likely to affect our regulatory work.

Job Title: Events Fundraising Officer
Reports to: Challenge Events Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 9-5pm (including some evening and weekends)

This role will play a pivotal part in delivering our Travel with Confidence project.

- Launch the Travel with Confidence module on our website by working with our communications team.
- Establish and lead a working group of relevant stakeholders and end users to test all new functionality, ahead of launch.
- Work with our academy and impact manager to collate and analyse information to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Travel with Confidence module and it’s resources.

Regional Communications Manager
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on communications all-rounder with a breadth of skills to help deliver the strategic communications objectives for a national youth charity.

About the Role
This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the organisation and the key local and regional audiences that matter, as the charity embarks on its biggest ever period of growth.
This role will involve managing a small portfolio of local end-to-end integrated communications and PR programmes at various stages, to launch new Youth Zones in Barnsley, Crewe, Grimsby and Preston. You will work closely with each Youth Zone’s Relationship Managers and Fundraisers, as well as its CEO, and Trustee Board, and Young People's Development Group, acting as their trusted communications advisor.
In addition, you will oversee and lead a fundraising focussed communications and marketing campaign to boost reach to new funders (who we call Founder Patrons) in the areas where there are new Youth Zones.

Role Summary
ProVeg International is a global organisation made up of 12 national non-profit teams, each of which responsible for local fundraising, supported by an international fundraising team focused on major opportunities, international, and core funding.
The role of the Grant Writing Manager is to provide excellent and compelling fundraising content of all kinds, whether internal cases for support, proposals, applications or reports in order to support the goal of at least doubling our global income from around 15 to 30 million dollars in the next three years.
You will be an expert in grant writing, and have a keen eye for detail and basic financial acumen related to project funding bids. The GMHAN is now looking for a new Network Manager to bring together partners to work to drive action and make a difference. Two years ago, the network restructure and bought in a full-time network manager post, now funded by Greater Manchester Mayors Charity and the Lloyds Foundation.
Since this role was initially bought in, the network structure and funding as strengthened, however we are now looking for someone to play a key role in further developing the GMHAN’s strategic role across the region. This includes facilitating full network events, supporting systems change through our network task groups, driving the work of the coordination group and bringing new partners into the network.
This role will have some involvement in new funding applications for additional roles and will be the line manager for the network’s Lived Experience Co-ordinator post.

About the Greater Manchester Homeless Action Network
The Greater Manchester Homeless Action Network (GMHAN) is a cross-sector partnership that brings together everyone across Greater Manchester working to end rough sleeping and prevent homelessness. This includes a range of sectors and specialisms, such as charities, local authorities, housing providers, faith partners and people with lived experience of homelessness. The GMHAN aims to operate using the principles of co-production and community development, placing people with experience of homelessness in the lead.
The work of the GMHAN seeks to add value to local networks and build connections at a GM level. This is done by connecting the many smaller local networks, with local and regional public and private sector bodies, including policy makers and politicians, to influence and design policies and programmes that affect the lives of those experiencing/at risk of experiencing homelessness. We do this through large in person events every 3 months aimed at co-designing Greater Manchester’s homelessness policy and showcasing best practice. Our network events focus on different themes (such as the criminal justice system or youth homelessness) and bring together people passionate about that area to share their experiences and form a collective voice to push for social change.
We also run three task groups- Learn, Lobby & Deliver. The groups are a space for action to happen outside of events, where people from all areas can come together to progress this work and identify areas where the network can influence change. All this work feeds into the GM Homelessness Programme Board, where key decisions are made.
