Your role will involve:
Governance support to the Board

Support to the CEO
- Taking ownership of a complex diary and schedules through gatekeeping and prioritisation.

- Booking tickets for events.
- Support on special projects, conduct basic research, and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. Working Well Trust has been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark for it's neighbouring services and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. We are expanding our Barking and Dagenham Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service and are recruiting for an Employment Advisor who will be placed at Beam Park Health Centre, Rainham.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

Job description
Following a restructure, DMI is looking to recruit a Grants Management Officer. This new role will provide a critical link between DMI’s national teams, HQ staff, and donors. It is an ideal role for somebody wanting to work in international development / public health as you will be exposed to a broad range of tasks and will work across all of DMI’s projects. You will also have exposure to DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, a new committee that aims to exploit the knowledge and experience of our national leadership. To succeed, you will need to be well-organised and a highly proficient writer (in English). You will also need to have the confidence and interpersonal skills to liaise independently with senior staff in the UK and in DMI’s national offices.
More specifically, the Grant Management Officer role will include the following responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Head of Operations, collating, revising, and submitting project reports to donors and other stakeholders. This will require regular collaboration with DMI’s national teams (who will typically draft the reports) and other staff at DMI HQ
- Assisting with the effective and efficient implementation of procurement processes across the organisation, ensuring that goods and services are acquired in accordance with DMI’s and donor’s requirements
- Assisting national teams, and relevant staff at DMI HQ, in ensuring that project activities are in compliance with donor guidelines, contractual obligations, and any relevant statutory or legal constraints
- Ensuring DMI maintains thorough and consistent project documentation
- Helping to ensure effective collaboration between departments at HQ to support project execution by DMI’s national teams
- More general operational support across DMI, this will include routine tasks such as contributing to policy and process reviews, risk management and security, and asset management, as well as ad hoc tasks as required
- Organising and attending in-person convenings of DMI’s Africa Leadership Group, anticipated to take place every 12 months. These are expected to be held outside the UK

Person specification
Required knowledge, skills and experience
- A good degree in a relevant field (international development/relations, public health, social sciences etc), or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong interpersonal and, particularly, written communication skills in English, capable of engaging convincingly and professionally with staff at all levels internally as well as with external stakeholders.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

About the Role
As Central Community Fundraising Assistant, you will be responsible for the delivery of central fundraising and engagement support to regional supporters. The CRM Marketing Officer is a new role within Anna Freud, supported by significant investment in the CRM systems and marketing resource. The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) is a community benefit society and cooperative working to develop healthy, happy communities living active and connected lives. We provide a wide range of services and programmes that support people’s mental and physical wellbeing. Services include community food support, telephone advice and listening services, physical and social activity programmes, social prescribing services and community development and engagement programmes. We also run virtual wellbeing support programmes for patients and citizens.
This role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of emergency food relief, in particular providing hot/healthy food for people living in emergency/temporary accommodation. The role will require excellent delivery and engagement skills on the ground with communities and key stakeholders. Experience in cooking in volume (300+ a day) and for diverse communities is required. Experience of kitchen management, people management and budget management is also required.
Main duties
- Ensure that hot, healthy food is delivered to identified locations where people are living in emergency/temporary accommodation – up to 300 meals a day
- Work with the Delivery Manager and Community café lead to ensure that the equipment, ingredients, kitchen capacity for the Emergency Food projects are planned for in advance so that there is minimal disruption to the cafes
- Work with the team and wider organisation to support and develop communities within the city, especially those that are the most deprived, and/or the least active.
- Line manage a small team and liaise with the Delivery Manager to ensure the rota is accurate and adhered to.
- Manage budgets and contracts effectively in conjunction with the Food Delivery Manager.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience of managing a team of cooks
- Qualified to at least level 3 food and hygiene
- Willingness to drive large vans and tow a trailer

Your role:
The Grantmaking Operations team sits within the Fund’s Operations department and is primarily focused on ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organizations. The team seeks to hire a Grants Specialist who will report to the Managers of Grantmaking Operations and manage the Fund’s most complex grantmaking programs.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing, enthusiastic grants management team, a deeply committed global staff, and an organization constantly learning and adapting to global contexts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
- Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a highly complex and high-volume portfolio of grants spanning 50+ countries.
- Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
- Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and flag potential areas of risk to the Manager of Grantmaking Policy and Models.
- Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
- Coordinate with Program and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee relationships are managed according to their risk level and operating context.
