About The Role

Your role as Challenge Events Manager will involve development of event strategies, management of various challenge events and maximizing opportunities and income. You will be creative, innovative with a appetite to grow income. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement a Home-Start network wide challenge event portfolio in virtual, third-party and in person events.

You will have the opportunity to develop opportunities in the sporting sector to maximise growth and impact, alongside potentially managing a small portfolio of corporate partners.

Your exceptional communication and liaison skills will be invaluable as you collaborate with colleagues across Home-Start UK, your suppliers and your portfolio of partners, developing compelling propositions that showcase the voices and stories of the families supported by Home-Start. Your strategic acumen will shine as you cultivate robust engagement and support from across Home-Start UK and the Home-Start network, playing a key role in delivering a successful challenge event programme. You will contribute to the development of high-quality materials that will be used across the fundraising directorate to maximise reach, income growth and impact. You will also have the opportunity to lead strategic projects from idea creation to delivery throughout Home-Start UK collaborating with different teams.

To excel in this role, you should possess outstanding planning, negotiation, and communication skills, combined with a deep understanding of the fundraising sector and its’ trends. Effective project planning, prioritisation, and time management will enable you to deliver on key performance indicators in collaboration with stakeholders. Building and managing senior relationships with corporate partners and internal stakeholders will be integral to your success. Operations Administrator

We are looking for an Operations Administrator to join the team supporting facilities and building maintenance and offering general admin and operational support.

This role could also be full-time incorporating the HR support function, which at the moment is as separate standalone part-time role.

Position: Operations Administrator

Location: Bristol (onsite)

Hours: 15 hours per week (0.4 FTE) 7.5 hours split any days Monday – Thursday. Fridays are mandatory. (or full time hours for the HR and Operations Officer role combined)

Salary: £25,000 pro rata (£10,000 actual)

The Role

The Operations Administrator will be responsible for the facilities, asset, and building maintenance of an owned therapy building. The Operations Administrator will understand that due to the building being used for therapeutic purposes, there will need to be clear communication between staff and suppliers on ‘quiet times’ and optimal visiting times.

Main areas of responsibility include:

• Stock control
• Maintaining relationships and organisational contracts with suppliers e.g. phone company or IT support
• Ensure office workplace health and safety standards are upheld
• Assist with operational aspects of staff away days and events e.g. venue booking and staff lunch
• Support with the set up and management of the outreach centres
• Supporting staff with internal operational enquiries
• Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure operational expense is accurately reported
• Tracking and management of petty cash
• Finance admin support

We are advertising this as a part-time permanent role but would welcome applications for this post and the HR  post as a full-time position, HR and Operations Officer, £29,000 annual salary 1.0 FTE.

Due to the nature of the role (facilities & building maintenance), remote working is not an option. Please only apply if you are able to commute to the therapy building in St Paul’s, Bristol.

You will have experience in facilities/building management, administration and/or office operation OR equivalent experience, with a strong focus on overseeing administrative systems

The Role

You will be supporting the rolling recruitment programme for new Membership Fundraisers at the charity, and ensuring the headcount and pipeline of Fundraisers is kept to agreed levels and maintained.  This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the recruitment process between key stakeholders across the organisation.

You will help shape the development and delivery of our services, making a real impact on both the team and the pets we care for by overseeing veterinary support processes, systems and development opportunities which streamline workflows, increase efficiency and allow for scalability in the team.

About you: 
 
This role can be both high-pressure and emotionally charged due to the nature of the work we do and the challenges our clients face. As such, we are looking for someone who remains calm under pressure, handles emotionally intense situations with empathy, and has the ability to manage complex, sometimes urgent, issues in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll need strong organisational, administrative, and leadership skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Your ability to communicate effectively will be essential in building relationships with stakeholders and leading your team with confidence and compassion.
 
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in team management, and a focus on process improvement. Client-facing experience, especially in a highly responsive or emotionally sensitive environment, will stand you in good stead. A genuine passion for animal welfare is highly valued, and your ability to inspire and support your team to deliver consistently high service standards will be key.
 
Above all, you should feel comfortable and capable of navigating a challenging and emotionally demanding environment while maintaining focus and delivering results.

The successful candidate will work across the senior leadership team, service teams, the fundraising team and the marketing team to ensure that FearFree is well-placed to respond proactively and also reactively to business development opportunities.

The role can be hybrid, with attendance at our office in Exeter or Trowbridge. The candidate should be willing to visit the fundraising team several times in the other office during their tenure.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Fundraising and Revenue Generation:

1. • Support the fundraising and service teams to identify, research, and secure funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, government grants, tenders, and corporate sponsors.
   • Build and maintain relationships with donors and funding bodies to secure ongoing support.
   • Identify and build relationships with major donors and philanthropists/ philanthropic bodies to secure support.

Strategic Partnerships:

1. • Work with the fundraising team to identify and establish strategic partnerships with corporate, public, and community stakeholders.
   • Collaborate with local authorities, social enterprises, and private sector partners to develop initiatives that support FearFree’s mission.
   • Represent FearFree at external meetings, conferences, and events to promote the charity and develop new networks.

Service Development:

1. • Work with service delivery teams to help collate ideas and design innovative and sustainable programmes that support FearFree’s beneficiaries.
   • Project manage the creation and development of these programs and services from concept, to secured funding.
   • Monitor trends and changes in the domestic abuse sector and charity sector to identify new opportunities for service improvement.

Marketing and Communications:

1. • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing strategies aimed at raising the profile of FearFree.
   • Contribute to the development of campaigns that highlight the impact of FearFree’s work and attract potential donors and partners.
   • Engage with the media to promote FearFree’s services and successes and raise awareness about domestic abuse issues.

Team Leadership:

1. • Manage and support the fundraising team (Senior Trust and Foundation Fundraiser, Devon Fundraising Manager, Wiltshire Fundraising Manager), providing direction and guidance to ensure the successful delivery of objectives.

Position

Reporting into the Head of Communications, this is a strategic and hands-on management role responsible for driving ShareAction’s media function and acting as a key business partner for colleagues across the organisation. Using your experience of developing media strategies, you will advise teams on how to enhance ShareAction’s position as a thought leader on responsible investment, support organisational goals to influence decision-makers and engage target audiences and help manage ShareAction’s reputation by advising on risk and mitigation. You will line manage a Media Manager and Senior Media Officer in the UK and provide guidance to a Media Advisor in Brussels to design and deliver high-quality media relations activity and ensure the effective operation of ShareAction’s press office and internal processes, including media monitoring and reporting.

You'll play a key role in the development of campaigns to hold global companies to account for their impact on people and planet and promote research and recommendations to support our vision of a world where responsible investment is the norm. With excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to work collaboratively, supporting colleagues to engage effectively with the media.

Over 55,000 men are diagnosed every year in the UK with testicular, prostate, or penile cancer.  Orchid is the UK’s leading charity working in the area of male-specific cancers.

Established in 1996 by testicular cancer patient Colin Osborne, and the oncologist who saved his life, Professor Tim Oliver, the charity exists to saves lives through funding a world-class research programme, awareness and education campaigns and a range of vital Nurse-led support services. About the role

• The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a workforce development plan to grow and maintain a workforce to enable an all year-round multi-sport offer in our priority places.
• The post holder will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of the StreetGames Workforce Development offer for the network of over 400 locally trusted organisations (LTOs) in London & the Southeast.
• The post holder will work with LTOs in the StreetGames network to enable them able to access workforce development opportunities that helps them to build capability and capacity, so they are better able to utilise the power of sport to transform young lives & underserved communities – which is core to the StreetGames mission and collective End Game.
• The post holder will work together with the StreetGames training academy and the network support teams to ensure that all LTOs in the network can access the StreetGames core offer appropriate to their workforce needs.
