About the role

The role
- To provide administrative support to the CEO and Office Manager in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions, to ensure income and outgoings are timely and accurately recorded.
Main responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing of Invoices on Xero
- Obtaining authorisation of the budget holder for the expenditure
- Preparing Income batches on Access CRM
- Creating new records on Access CRM
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Processing credit card income

Requirements:

The Director of Professional Services is responsible for our professional affairs activities, overseeing the creation, maintenance and application of relevant standards through our professional affairs committee, and certification and accreditation schemes. They are also responsible for member recruitment and management, ensuring we continue to attract new RSS members and partners, and that their needs are met. They also oversee a range of activities that engage RSS members (including groups that bring members together on a topic or geographical basis, RSS honours and awards, and our volunteering opportunities), securing both our impact on society and member retention.
Informed by an in-depth understanding of the needs of members and prospective members, the Director manages these activities strategically across the organisation, bringing relevant staff together within small teams working on defined goals that support our objectives, foster a sense of value and community for all members and ultimately lead to the growth in membership and impact of the Society.
Pension and benefits: Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). A training budget, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and employee assistance programme are also available.
Location: The RSS office is in central London and currently open twice a week. We offer flexible working arrangements and office attendance is encouraged but not mandatory depending on the role. As the Designer, you will bring our brand to life through high-quality, compelling, and on-brand design work across a range of offline and online assets. We are currently at the early stages of a brand review project, and you’ll play a pivotal part in activating and rolling out our refreshed brand across various channels in 2025.
Day to day, you’ll collaborate closely with the Editorial Manager to review and update our suite of information leaflets. As Team Administrator for the Children and Young People’s Engagement Team, you will be responsible for providing vital administrative support to a dynamic team working with children, young people and parents all over the UK.
The Team Administrator will provide administrative or logistical support to different team projects, working groups, committees, events or activities. The postholder will be responsible for developing and managing the Centenary project management plan and engaging key stakeholders, including trustees, volunteers and supporters, internally and externally throughout the organisation, nationally and locally; monitoring objectives; and identifying and mitigating any associated risks.

Responsibilities
- Develop a portfolio of training sessions covering a range of topics, particularly related to Health & Social Inequalities (including Make Every Contact Count (MECC)).
- Liaise with internal colleagues to ensure training content stays accurate

Based in Harrow, we are a not-for-profit co-operative owned by our workers. We have in-depth knowledge of the local area and of who’s doing what. Our members collectively have over 35 years’ experience in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, specialising in capacity building in a variety of different organisational development areas.

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.
- Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.
Qualifications and experience criteria:
- Experience working with volunteers and/or young people
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Manage a caseload of up to 20 active 1:1 mentee / mentor relationships.

- Supporting girls through focused workshops and group activities. Developing a curiculum of suport for them.
- Create pathways for inspiring YP to engage in positive volunteering opportunities.
- Managing referrals from other organisations and being involved in the support systems in place for those young people.
- To co-ordinate and train a team of volunteer mentors who will provide support to young people on a weekly basis. Specifically female mentors.
- To ensure the volunteer mentors support young people to access services and develop skills and support them in making choices which will help them improve their physical, psychological and social well-being.
- To ensure safeguarding and child protection processes are in place and adhered to at all times.
