Our small, ambitious team works in a collaborative and supportive way. A big focus of the role is prioritisation and planning, so you’ll support the Director of Programmes, Head of Impact & Effectiveness and wider team to prioritise, forward plan, manage diaries and prepare for meetings. This is a great role for someone wanting to develop their administrative experience and exposure to board and executive level working. You will have responsibility for supporting a Trustee level grant making committee. You’ll get exposure to the strategic overview of the Charity and insight into managing teams, grant-making and charity operations. You’ll quickly see the impact you can make within the team to improve our effectiveness and ways of working; and what we’re working to achieve as a charity.
Maudsley Charity works primarily with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, as well as a range of voluntary and community organisations to fund ideas, big and small, that drive service improvement and support people who experience mental illness.
The Charity operates primarily within the four boroughs served by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark), but the work we fund has the potential for wider impact at both national and international levels, through the sharing of the outcomes with the wider mental health community. Fundraising at BCYP
BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.
The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie. We’re looking for a Research Funding Administrator to join our team
Salary: £30,291
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

- Lead a comprehensive donor scoping and mapping exercise for donors in targeted new market. Continuously, update this mapping document based on engagement with prospective donors.
- Identify and track relevant upcoming funding opportunities – through advance intelligence gathering, partner relationships, and other available resources
- Provide grant management oversight on portfolio of grants funded by new Market donors and serve as primarily focal point for donor communications.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, programme management, or equivalent.
- Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
- Knowledge of overseas markets and/or experience of successfully fundraising in a different market to the UK. Experience with Middle Eastern Donors is highly desirable.
- Experience of successfully fundraising and dealing with institutional donors and international donors, with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.
- Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications.
- Excellent networking and influencing skills, both internal and external. Specifically experience of supporting cultural change within an organisation, influencing sideways and upwards to gain buy in and active support from senior staff as needed.

- Playing a key role in the development and delivery of the Society’s education programmes (online and in person events, online learning resources). This includes preparation of minutes and agendas, following up on action points and organising committee meetings as well as administering the events programme.
- Working on developing the e-learning platform and ensuring that the education pages of the website are kept up to date, working with editors to approve and add images and case reports, including the adding of internal and external meetings and new educational resources.
- Dealing with phone and email queries related to education and events.
- Acting as the main interface between the Committee and the professional conference organiser.
- Supporting the production of the Annual Scientific Meeting for example proofreading of documents, and user acceptance testing of online functionality such as registration and abstract systems, interactive programme and conference app.
The successful candidate will have experience in project management, event logistics and management, both online and in person and will be happy working with third party suppliers, as well as volunteers, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key as is experience of CMS and updating websites. Experience working with e-learning platforms/LMS would be beneficial but is not crucial.

As our Global Internal Communications and Engagement Advisor, you will play a crucial role in the Leadership and Employee Experience team.
The role will provide support to the Global Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Partner regarding the planning, delivery and evaluation of internal communications and employee engagement initiatives across WaterAid. The role is responsible for creating and executing excellent, high quality day-to-day internal communications across WaterAid globally. This includes coordinating the global moments content plan, managing the global digital communications channels and creating engaging content for internal campaigns.
Working closely with colleagues around the world, this is an exciting and stimulating role at the very centre of WaterAid’s global operations.
You’ll also:
- Act as central point of contact for any general enquiries into the Global Internal Communications and Engagement team.
- Support the delivery of the global moments content plan incorporating key global priorities such as Diversity, Equity & Empowerment (DEE), wellbeing, our values etc.
- Create engaging content, including writing stories for our global intranet and creating visual assets, such as videos, posters and the global newsletter.
- Support the implementation and delivery of the global omni-channel approach.
- Play a key role in the redesign of the global intranet and support the Intranet Manager by training editors, analysing usage, and coordinating resource development with subject matter experts.
- Lead the monitoring and evaluation of data from our internal communications channels, and recommend improvements based on the findings.
- Play a key role in the delivery of global employee engagement projects and events such as the global employee engagement survey.
About You:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating accuracy and a sharp eye for detail, along with the capability to produce high-quality content.
- Excellent literacy in Microsoft Office 365 (such as Office suite, SharePoint Online, Viva Engage, Stream, Sway, Power BI).
- Highly organised, able to prioritise, plan and manage own time and workload.
- An innovative self-starter, creative with a willingness to try new ideas.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage and collaborate with a wide variety of contacts across the organisation.

Purpose of the job
The Head of Policy & Public Affairs is responsible for leading UK Youth’s influencing work with Westminster, devolved administrations, and local government. They will lead our advocacy for ambitious and actionable policies that will help unlock youth work for all young people. They will ensure that our policy recommendations are informed by the strongest available evidence, meaningful youth involvement, and the expertise of youth workers.
