We are looking for someone who is highly experienced in project managing the delivery of products, public events, or campaigns and thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
What will I be doing?
Leading multi-disciplinary teams (including social media, public relations, supporter services, legal, fulfilment and procurement) to deliver specific projects within the Fundraising Campaigns portfolio, managing requirements, plans, risks, and issues
Planning and leading project meetings and workshops making sure minutes, agendas and pre-reads are produced as required
Implementing operational and technical solutions to enable campaign delivery
Constructively challenging teams to encourage continuous process innovation and improvement
Building excellent working relationships with internal teams and external partners and suppliers.
What skills are we looking for?
Experience of managing complex projects involving multiple partners / suppliers
Formal experience of best practice project management principles (preferably in a Programme environment) & ideally a formal qualification in project or programme management
Experience/knowledge of financial controls and budget management
Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively chair or manage a meeting to deliver the required outcome within the time allocated
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - a skilled stakeholder manager who can influence and negotiate effectively within a matrix environment and can explain / present complex information effectively
Comfortable with ambiguity
A keen understanding of technical issues and constraints but able to work and communicate with both technical and non-technical people
Delivery focussed with personal accountability and willing to provide constructive feedback to colleagues & customers
A challenging mindset - looking for ways in which existing processes and approaches can be improved and championed within the business.

Location:Home/Birmingham-based with frequent travel to projects in West Midlands
As Project Support Officer you will support the Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training, giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our West Midlands projects as and when required to aid development and growth within the region.
Each of our Projects is run by Project Leaders (volunteer position) and supported by Regional Managers through recruitment and training of volunteers. You will support the Regional Managers so that they can manage more projects, knowing that you have helped with the embedding of volunteers, along with supporting expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new Project Leaders for the Area.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects.You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, to support with delivery as necessary, which will include some evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.

- Providing ad hoc support and guidance for volunteers

About the role:
We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Administrator to join our team. You will provide essential administrative support to the Project Lead. We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team, Crisis at Christmas to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. Every year, Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food, and specialist advice. Last Christmas we worked with over 6,600 people facing homelessness through our day centres and hotels in London, and Crisis Skylight centres across Britain.
Contract: Fixed term contract from 10 September 2024 to 28 February 2025
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week. Core working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, but due to the nature of the project some weekend and evening work may be required.

As a Project Coordinator – Resources your role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the required material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London. We have been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Trees Call to Action Fund for #Defra Heart of England: growing momentum, capacity, skills and trees. In partnership with Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, and Wychavon District Councils, the Heart of England Forest is leading this three year project to engage with landowners and local communities to increase tree cover across the landscape. Working together to identify suitable areas for trees to be planted, facilitate tree planting, and support woodland maintenance, new woodlands will be created that benefit the environment, boost biodiversity, and provide havens for communities to enjoy.
We are looking for two candidates with widespread experience of project delivery and good team working skills. The successful candidates will work closely with project partners to engage with local communities and larger scale landowners to identify suitable areas for tree planting. Working with them to understand their needs, you will provide information on different types of planting and support them through the regulatory and funding process.

- Ensure that the Women on the Front Line (WFL) programme strategy and implementation stages are clearly communicated to stakeholders on regular basis.
- Ensure that Mrs Welby is aware of all developments, decisions and issues, building her suggestions and directions into the planning and outworking's of the WFL work.
- Maintain and proactively lead an effective comms strategy for the WFL work for both internal use and external focus. Including producing a bi-annual newsletter.
- Manage translation of the newsletter and any other relevant communications.
- Maintain strong relationships with international WFL champions working closely with the Women on the Frontline Follow-up Coordinator.
- Manage the web developers, toolkit designers, proofreader, and other contractors to deliver projects on schedule and budget. For example, building the website and designing the toolkit.
- Hold the web developers and other contractors to account for hitting targets in design and implementation stages.
- Provide comprehensive understanding of budgets and accounts for the WFL work and be able to participate in, draft and defend funding applications to charitable trusts for funds for future WFL work.
- Organise all administrative support for the WFL international retreats by: supporting visa application processes; negotiating prices of air travel; booking travel; working with in-country supporters to find accommodation and plan / support international WFL stakeholders in joining retreats from countries other than the UK.
- Maintain positive relationships with the largely volunteer WFL committee leaders, ensuring diary commitments for the WFL work are upheld and volunteers are aware of and able to participate in regular meeting cycles and events.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of WFL. For example, booking regular WFL meetings, setting up online meetings, taking minutes and actions in meetings, circulating minutes to stakeholders.
- Write reports to senior managers, trusts and funding bodies.
- A salary of £15,567.20 (FTE £38,918) per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of salary.

- Project/Programme qualification e.g. APM, PRINCE2, MSP; experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
