Job Purpose

Provide a fully person-centred Support Worker/Case Management service, including assessment, recovery planning, co-ordination, and review, for veterans and their families. The Support Worker/Case Manager will also specifically provide welfare support, guidance, and advice where this is required as part of a recovery plan.

Working collaboratively as part of our wider Recovery Services Directorate, you will identify need, create support pathways (internal and external), and co-ordinate structured support plans where beneficiaries have multi-dimensional or more intensive needs.

The requirement for collaborative practice extends to supporting, as required, hybrid and blended models of service provision including the design and delivery of group programmes, promoting engagement opportunities and community activation. The provision of accessible services is achieved through utilising opportunities for physical, remote, and digital delivery methods.

Informed by a strengths/asset-based approach, the Support Worker/Case Manager will work to an ethos which nurtures and harnesses beneficiary confidence, competence, attributes, skills, and knowledge by promoting engagement, purposeful participation, and independence. This is with a view to progressing recovery and sustaining wellness in line with the Help for Heroes’ Fair Deal commitment.

Localised activity of the Support Worker/Case Manager will reflect community assets and resources available to maximise the recovery chances of individuals.

About the role

Working closely with the Programme Officer for Training, the Training Manager will manage the training function, leading the delivery and continuous improvement whilst managing key relationships ranging from associate trainers who deliver training on behalf of Student Minds to external organisations who wish to purchase training. This role has responsibility for income generation within the organisation and management of the trainer network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and continuously improve the training function, ensuring objectives and outcomes are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Lead detailed programme planning, including risk management and budget oversight, in collaboration with colleagues.
• Drive income generation, develop pricing models, and lead marketing strategies for training programmes, working towards annual financial targets.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, coordinate professional development for trainers, and assure the quality of training delivery.
• Stay informed on sector developments, adapt training content accordingly, and represent the training programmes at external events.
• Support the implementation of digital systems and contribute to website development for training-related content.
• Collaborate with the team on cross-organisational events, provide consultative feedback, and uphold the organisation's values, including EDI practices.

Hours of work: 30 hours (4 days) / per week
Contract: 6-9 months (Temporary)
Full-Time Salary Range: £28,552 - £32,445 per annum
Pro-Rated Part-Time Salary Range: £22,841.6 to £25,956 per annum (based on 30 hours per week, equivalent to 80% of a full-time role)

1. To deliver a range of youth work programmes, including after school and evening sessions, group work and one to one mentoring.

The successful post holder must have:

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support people who have significant mental health issues and those from diverse ethnic backgrounds who may face barriers in accessing physical health checks. The role will provide longer term support in some cases, so people can address some of the barriers which might be in the way for them to consider their physical health positively. The roles will provide a service across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. The role will be delivered within Primary Care and therefore you will be expected to build relationships within those settings and with community VCSE organisations to ensure that the service supports people within their own communities.

Key Responsibilities 

• Get to know and build relationships with staff within Primary Care to enable a supportive and productive referral route into and out of the service
• Work within communities and Primary Care to find out what services are available for people to access
• Build relationships with staff in Primary Care, VSCE organisations, local communities that don't access services and local community mental health teams
• Build relationships with those who are accessing the service and work in a person-centered way to find out their needs. Particularly working to engage people from diverse ethnic backgrounds
• Build an accessible route into the service for people which will lead to an increase in physical health checks and longer-term support if needed
• Be inclusive and make reasonable adjustments where necessary i.e interpreters, Easy Read literature, disability accessible buildings for meetings etc.
• Conduct basic physical health checks following robust training from health professionals 
• Support people in connecting to other services both VCSE and Primary Care
• Alert Primary Care staff and the local authority/mental health teams if there are any concerns that have not already been identified
• Signpost and refer clients to other services during and after the intervention 
• Promote health education and the service across the borough

Person Specification 

• Experience of conducting physical health checks
• Experience or working with those who have serious mental health issues 
• Experience of developing kind relationships to create a sense of belonging
• Knowledge of health literacy i.e weight management, diabetes, blood test, smoking etc.

Here for You is Breast Cancer Now’s personalised referral route to all of our services.

This role is responsible for the management and development of the Here for You delivery team. This includes training and line managing support officers and volunteers who make initial and follow up calls to primary and secondary breast cancer patients. This new role has been created to take on day to day responsibility of the Here for You delivery tasks, ensure patients get calls within service level agreements and provide timely and trusted information and support to people diagnosed with breast cancer. This involves leading the team, responding to safeguarding issues, collecting data, and guide the team to deliver excellent information on the phone. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues focusing on the Here for You expansion, as well as working with colleagues across the primary services, secondary services and personalised support services. The role also liaises with our Helpline team.

Role and responsibilities

We are looking to recruit a manager for our Aldgate East Charity Shop. The ultimate aim of the Manager’s job is to manage staff, volunteers and available resources to the optimum benefit of SCT, terms of both income and the mission of the Charity in supporting people in recovery from addition, achieved through:

Charity retail management (60%)

• Ensuring the safe and profitable running of the shop leading a team of staff and volunteers to motivate them to deliver exceptional customer service to customers and donors; recruiting, training and managing and team according to SCT’s values, policies and procedures.
• Maximising sales, engagement and impact to achieve set targets to raise Unrestricted Income for charitable objectives by contributing surplus of in excess of £100,000 per annum.
• Establishing and maintaining effective retail processes and merchandising standards to industry standards of best practice.
• Maintaining effective stock management.
• Carrying out shop administration.
• Interpreting and acting on basic financial reports and KPI’s
• Taking necessary action to repair and maintain the premises and to take all reasonable steps to protect SCT property from theft, damage or fire.
• Training and supporting staff and volunteers towards ensuring adherence to all health and safety policy and procedures.
• Ability to work flexibly, including working weekends and on occasion work in other locations when necessary.

• Developing a programme of onsite small-scale community activities drawing on the expertise of SCT’s community tutors, local community and SCT’s wider recovery community in their design and delivery.
• Building and developing relationships with local community agencies, with the support of SCT’s Community Recovery Team, to promote opportunities to support those vulnerable to addiction and/or homelessness.

CPAG is looking for a welfare rights expert to manage our Early Warning System.

With a new government in place this is a great time to join the Advice and Rights Team at CPAG as we look to influence policy makers and parliamentarians and support the advice sector in delivering a fair and comprehensive social security system in the UK.

The Early Warning System (EWS) collates evidence of long-term concerns and developing issues within the benefit system, from the advice sector and beyond. EWS evidence is used to develop and promotes improvements to the benefits system with our colleagues in the Policy Team, as part of our work to end child poverty.

The EWS officer will actively promote the EWS, encouraging contributions from advisers and claimants. The EWS officer will record and analyse case studies as well as the issues which arise on our advice services, to provide insight on the impact of changes to the benefits system and evidence for our campaigning and research work.

You will play a key role in responding to calls for evidence and consultations, and liaison with the DWP and other policy makers. You will work closely with the advice sector through publications, briefings and events such as seminars and conferences, to increase advisers’ awareness of the concerns highlighted by the EWS and to promote solutions to support claimants.
