Are you passionate about ending rough sleeping and preventing homelessness in Greater Manchester? The Greater Manchester Homelessness Action Network (GMHAN) brings people together from a different organisations, experiences and areas to work together to tackle homelessness in a Greater Manchester wide cross-sector partnership. The GMHAN is now looking for a new Network Manager to bring together these our partners to work to drive action and make a difference. Two years ago, the network restructure and bought in a full-time network manager post, now funded by Greater Manchester Mayors Charity and the Lloyds foundation. Since this role was initially bought in, the network structure and funding as strengthened, however we are now looking for someone to play a key role in further developing the GMHAN’s strategic role across the region. This includes facilitating full network events, supporting systems change through our network task groups, driving the work of the coordination group and bringing new partners into the network. This role will have some involvement in new funding applications for additional roles and will be the line manager for the network’s Lived Experience Co-ordinator post.
If you are interested in delivering coproduction, bringing people together and driving change, then this is a great opportunity to build on your knowledge and develop your skills.
This is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension, and is available as a secondment or fixed term contract.

Job summary
We're looking for a fundraiser with experience in legacies to join our Public Fundraising Team. The Senior Supporter Engagement Officer will be responsible for building deeper relationships with some of our most committed supporters. This is an exciting role with opportunities to further develop existing products such as Gifts in Wills events, legacy stewardship and our mid-value programme. It also has oversight of our Big Give Christmas appeal, sent out to committed supporters to generate funds for a restricted project/campaign.
The role is managed by the Supporter Retention Manager but will work closely with all of the Public Fundraising team. They'll also be line managing the Public Fundraising Assistant, ensuring they complete their administrative tasks on time, and have opportunities to develop. Key relationships are the Research Team, Services team, the Comms and Marketing team and the Philanthropy team.

The post holder will lead on the Foundation’s research communications activities, working closely with the Comms and Digital Lead to execute a research communications strategy. This will ensure that our supporters are kept informed on the latest research developments and enable us to demonstrate the impact of our research.

Research Communications

Work closely with the Communications and Digital Manager to oversee our research communications strategy and programme of activity;

Lead on the development of all external research communications activities to communicate the impact of our research and ensure our supporters are kept up to date with the latest developments. This includes developing news stories, blogs, newsletter content, infographics, research webinar series and our annual research impact report;

Liaise with our funded researchers to secure pictures and other content (e.g. video) for use on socials including making site visits to labs across the UK;

Liaise with our communications team and PR agency to take advantage of any press opportunities that arise for our research communications, supporting the development of position statements and press releases.
Research Funding Administration

Support the Research Programme Managers by ensuring our research grant rounds are effectively administered in line with Association of Medical Research Charity (AMRC) policy, including coordinating comprehensive internal and external peer review, supporting research review committees, drafting feedback for applicants, managing the contracting and financial monitoring of awards;

Assist the Research Programme Managers in managing the research programme budget including planning, monitoring and forecasting;

Support the ongoing development and implementation of our online grant management system, Flexi-Grant;

You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. - Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
- Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.

Head of Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships
Overview:
The Head Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure Music Support funding and manage new and existing relationships with corporate partners to support the organisation's vision, mission and support services for peers working in the music industry.
Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising and corporate partnerships strategy, in collaboration with the CEO to meet annual revenue targets.

Identify, cultivate, and solicit individual and corporate donors working alongside the CEO. Including securing sponsorships, grants, and in-kind donations.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and stakeholders, ensuring their continued engagement and support.

Collaborate with the marketing and events team to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.

Research and analyse potential funding sources, grant opportunities, and corporate partnership prospects.

Coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to generate revenue and increase donor participation.

Oversee donor and sponsor recognition programs, ensuring timely acknowledgment and stewardship of contributions.

Develop a new charity ambassador strategy to create powerful new stakeholders who support our vision and increase reach

Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, tracking progress towards goals, and making adjustments, as necessary.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to fundraising and corporate partnerships.

Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, financial performance, and donor/sponsor engagement for management and board review.
Qualifications:

Evidence of a senior position, or relevant degree in business, nonprofit management, or related field.

Experience of working in, or high levels of knowledge of the infrastructure of the music industry

Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, Trust and Foundations or related roles.

Proven track record of successfully securing funding and managing relationships with donors and corporate partners and Trusts and Foundations.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong project management, organisational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices, regulations, and compliance standards.

What you’ll be doing
Your focus will be to grow our charity’s impact and revenue streams by fundraising for environmental education, benefitting people and nature by securing funds from supporters, trusts/foundations, and businesses.
This will include building relationships with potential legators, inspiring supporters to maintain their commitment, eventually leaving the Field Studies Council a gift in their Will as well as turning strategic and operational priorities into practical funding bids.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Researching and identifying potential trusts/foundations/businesses as suitable external funders for designated target projects
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to draft fundraising bids, developing persuasive proposals and collating appropriate supporting documentation.
- Proactively develop positive, long-term relationships that grow Field Studies Council’s pipeline of prospects
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant governmental, sector and business opportunities to identify potential funding opportunities
- Fundraising administration including gift processing, donor thanking and stewardship
- Supporting at events and funding meetings, as required

Where you’ll be based
The base location for this position is negotiable, with full remote working / home working a possibility. However, if you prefer working in office, we have Field Studies Centres throughout the country which you are also able to work from. We will also consider hybrid working options.
There may the occasional need to travel to meet with, colleagues, prospective funders and other stakeholders. We expect this to be limited, no more than once every 2-3 months.
Who we’re looking for
You will be passionate about our charity’s mission and understand the importance of Environmental Education.
It’s essential that you have experience working in a fundraising role or department. We need an experienced individual who is confident to write and submit successful fundraising bids to trusts, foundations and businesses.
You will also have experience creating and managing successful supporter journeys to optimise our donations, particularly legators.
As a natural at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will be able to tell compelling stories to encourage individuals and organisations to support our aim to connect people to nature.

As their Grants Officer, you will work in a team of grant management professionals, alongside a manager and an experienced programme coordinator to ensure the smooth running of one of their high-profile programmes. You will be responsible for a range of tasks across the project/grants management cycle, including assessment of funding applications, undertaking due diligence procedures, processing and managing claims, making payments, monitoring projects, analysing programme data, and liaising with project staff, grantees, and funders.
To be considered for this role, you will have significant experience of working in capital or complex grant management, ideally within the charity sector or similar. You will also have experience of working on a variety of partnerships, contracts and grant programmes involving a range of stakeholders, project types and grant sizes, with the ability to manage your own workload and support colleagues in a busy team. Lastly you will have strong customer service skills and be able to understand the needs of Funders and those receiving funding.

The role
Working within Tameside’s volunteering team to raise the profile of volunteering in the community, the Volunteering Support Officer will support the delivery of a high-quality service both to individuals interested in volunteering, and to volunteer managers working within Tameside’s VCFSE sector.

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Philanthropy Officer to join our growing team. Working alongside other team members, you will play a key role in enhancing the long-term sustainability and growth of Mary’s Meals. You will play a key role in supporting our National Affiliates and relationship managers, producing proposals and resources for philanthropic opportunities, corporate partnerships, foundations and HNW donors, to meet the needs of our existing donor base and capitalise on growth opportunities that arise.
You will be responsible for developing compelling funding proposals and philanthropic fundraising materials for a range of income streams. In this fast paced and varied role, you will build and develop strong relationships both internally and externally, with a view to supporting the research and development of philanthropic opportunities for funding.
Other key duties include:
- Assisting National Affiliates in establishing a portfolio of long-term partnerships that provide sustainable income for our school feeding programmes.
- Writing high quality donor proposals, applications and reports for a range of philanthropic bodies.
- Support the development of global fundraising materials that support National Affiliate growth, particularly in the corporate partnerships space.
- Supporting the communication of the impact of our work through compelling written stories
- Supporting the development of the Mary’s Meals suite of products and materials that communicate our strategy and attract funding and promoting their use across the network.
- Contributing to the development and coordination of organisational systems and processes that support National Affiliate growth in philanthropic giving.
With exceptional organisational skills, you will be comfortable working across multiple projects and coordinating contributions across all parts of the organisation and will bring relevant experience of designing and developing compelling funding proposals and reports. You will have strong writing skills with the ability to tailor your approach to a variety of audiences and bring the impact of our work, and our story, to life. You will be confident in your communications and will have the ability to engage in a variety of interactions with colleagues across the movement.
