Skills and Qualities
Essential:
- Chartered CIPD membership and/or postgraduate qualification in either Human Resources Management or Employment Law, or working towards these qualifications
- Generalist HR experience and a good working knowledge of HR systems
- Experience at recruitment interviewing and assessment, including at a senior level
- First-hand experience of providing HR support for organisational change
- Experience of writing and implementing employment policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office package
- Ability to plan, prioritise and delegate and to work closely within a busy team / able to work independently and confidentially
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure

Job description
We are seeking to appoint a strong team player who can also work independently, who is a well-organised and efficient administrator, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills. This role will be responsible for managing our cohort programmes including currently: Freedom of Religion and Belief, Rule of Law, and Gen Z and the City. In addition they will coordinate our Fellowship scheme. There is scope for the development of new programme areas, including working with the arts, as we respond to contemporary challenges.
Duties:
· Work with the Programme team, to design and deliver educational resources, workshops and conferences including Freedom of Religion and Belief, Rule of Law, and intergenerational change;
· Manage the annual Cumberland Lodge Fellowship scheme, including the annual Fellows’ Retreat;
· Deliver Exploring Ethics and other Cumberland Lodge workshops as requested;
· Identify potential partners and collaborate with stakeholders related to programme activity;
· Produce funding proposals;
· Produce and/or editing briefing papers and reports when required;
· Produce digital content for online learning and engage regularly with the community engagement platform, including identifying topics, producing webinars and podcasts;
· Act as Duty Officer for 8 weekends (involving, if required, giving welcome talks, leading Exploring Ethics Sessions, and escorting groups to the Royal Chapel). Accommodation is provided on these weekends.

Person specification
Essential Criteria:

The role requires flexible working. There will be some weekend and evening duties, including programme events, facilitating workshops for visiting groups, talks and tours of the Lodge (shared on a rota basis). Accommodation will be provided on site when evening work is required.

We’re looking for a Senior Education Officer who will play a lead role in developing and delivering high quality education to health professionals. As a key player in our team, you’ll coordinate the development of online learning, including online learning platforms to increase our reach and ensure improved practice and earlier diagnosis in prostate cancer.
You’ll support the organisation to stay ahead of the evolving health education landscape and explore new ways of working that maximises impact and raises the profile and credibility of the charity as an education provider.
You’ll work with key stakeholders to increase our reach and impact and really ensure that diagnosis, support, and treatment for men with prostate cancer is improved.
What we want from you
We’re looking for an excellent communicator who is comfortable in communicating with a range of key internal and external stakeholders. You’ll have experience of working with the NHS or with other health organisations.
You’ll have a good understanding of both face-to-face and online education and be able to demonstrate course development, design, and delivery. You’ll also have experience in working with online learning platforms to meet learning needs.
As a collaborative and proactive team player, you’ll able to work well with others across the organisation, have excellent project management skills and be able to manage multiple and competing priorities.
This role is a fixed term contract for 13 months covering maternity leave.

The Executive Officer of the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH) is an important and senior role in which you will provide strategic, financial and operational leadership to the Association and its six affiliate groups.
Acting as the link between the BACCH, affiliate groups and the RCPCH, the Executive Officer will manage the BACCH and affiliate group office and contribute to organisational strategy, taking responsibility for delivering strategic objectives across all the business functions of the BACCH and the affiliates.
Reporting to the Chairs of the BACCH and one of the affiliate groups, the British Academy of Childhood Disability (BACD), you will have oversight of all staff and develop and maintain relationships with key affiliate stakeholders to promote the Association’s activities and policies, to enhance the BACCH and the affiliates’ profiles.
You will organise the annual national conferences and oversee the BACCH regional events, whilst ensuring the BACCH and affiliate group websites are maintained and their content is up-to-date and relevant. In addition, you will help coordinate policy and consultation responses, fielding media enquiries as required.
Coordinating communication between the affiliate groups and members to ensure a consistent approach throughout the organisations, you will support the BACCH and BACD newsletter editorial committees to produce monthly email bulletins for members.
Suitably qualified with previous management experience and with a strong understanding of good office practice, you will have a background of working with a Board to ensure good governance and have evidence of translating the development of strategies into the delivery of operational plans.
With proven experience of successfully managing a large workload and overseeing various streams of work, you will have the ability to work flexibly and manage the fluctuating nature of the role through the year.
A dynamic self-starter with a clear ability to take ideas from inception through to completion, you will be able to demonstrate how thinking ahead, managing time, priorities and risk, and developing structured and efficient approaches will be able to deliver work on time and to a high standard.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
This role sits within the global communications team – part of the External Engagement directorate – at Girls Not Brides and will report to the Communications Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation to reach strategic audiences, shaping conversations around ending child marriage, and positioning Girls Not Brides and our members as thought leaders. This role will shape our engagement with media as key strategic influencers and partners to advance the ending child marriage agenda, with a focus on global and cross-regional outlets.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to engage media in order to influence powerholders and to shape the global and cross-regional narrative around child marriage. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely response to breaking news, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and processes.

1. STRATEGY, PLANNING AND CONTROL
a. To contribute to the setting of long-term Objectives, along with the CEO & Board.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing efforts align with organisational goals and data-driven insights.
- Produce testimonials, case studies, and other promotional materials in compliance with GDPR and data retention policies.

- Proven experience in supporting marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Proficiency in email marketing, social media, and advertising tactics.
- Strong content creation skills, including multimedia development.
- Experience using CRM platforms for marketing purposes.
- Familiarity with GDPR compliance in marketing activities.
- Analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset, adaptable to changing priorities.
- Marketing qualification (desirable but not essential).
