Your responsibilities will include supporting the setup of a national Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Board, organising monthly online sessions, facilitating roundtables, and arranging conferences in collaboration with the Advisory Board members and the wider CWC team. This home based role can be based anywhere in England, but you must be available to attend team meetings in Central London every 12 weeks.

About the Role

As a Care Leavers Employment Project Coordinator for Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN), you will support and manage the development of this project and will co-ordinate, develop and grow this new service.

You will play a crucial role in supporting care leavers aged 21+ on their journey to meaningful employment and independent living by providing employment guidance, resources, and support services with the aim of sustainable employment at our charity with ongoing person-centred support.

You will work closely with care leavers, local authorities, ICB contacts, HMN HR team, HMN senior management team, and other stakeholders to facilitate access to HMN volunteering, shadowing & employment opportunities, training programmes, and career development initiatives. The goal is to empower care leavers to achieve sustainable employment, good mental health and build successful careers at HMN, with the view to develop the service to include partner organisations and other stakeholders where successful careers may be established for care leavers.

The project ethos will be based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, with an awareness that individual differences must not be overlooked, that these needs can be pursued simultaneously, that the theory may not be universally applicable across cultures, and the influence of social, environmental, and structural factors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programmes and initiatives to support care leavers in their journey to meaningful employment, including job readiness training, CV building, interview preparation, training opportunities and access to an HMN mentor/buddy.
• Join the Care Leaver Covenant and sign up to the Care Leaver Friendly Employer Charter, harnessing the opportunities available to support the project, including the Inclusive Employment Toolkit.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, ICB colleagues, educational institutions, and community organisations to create opportunities and secure support for care leavers.
• Provide one-on-one support to care leavers, including conducting assessments of their skills, interests, and career goals, and developing individualised employment plans and opportunities to enhance their employability and career prospects.
• Advocate on behalf of care leavers to address any barriers to employment, such as lack of education, training, or work experience, discrimination, mental health challenges, or housing instability.
• Organise and/or facilitate workshops, training, and networking events to enhance the employability skills of care leavers and connect them with potential employment opportunities and mentors.
• Monitor and track the progress of care leavers in securing and maintaining employment and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and reports on the employment outcomes of care leavers, and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of support services and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and best practices related to care leavers, employment, and youth services, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance the overall effectiveness and impact of the project.

About us 

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it. 

We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team, Crisis at Christmas to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. Every year, Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food, and specialist advice. Last Christmas we worked with over 6,600 people facing homelessness through our day centres and hotels in London, and Crisis Skylight centres across Britain.

Contract: Fixed term contract from 10 September 2024 to 28 February 2025 

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week. Core working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, but due to the nature of the project some weekend and evening work may be required.

About the role 

As a Project Coordinator – Resources your role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the required material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Gift in kind donations we require range from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and minibuses. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running community donations.

• Experience of customer service and ability to deal with working with partner organisations and donors via phone and email in a professional and friendly manner.

The opportunity

CAG networks empower community groups to act towards a more sustainable future, focussing primarily on the areas of reuse, repair, waste reduction, sharing, surplus food, composting and wider biodiversity and sustainability. In 2023/4 CAG Devon expanded its geographic focus, becoming county-wide, and widening its topical focus. You will be coordinating the delivery of the new Community Action Groups (CAG) project in East Devon (see our parent project website, CAG Devon).

A CAG network provides community groups with the tools and support they need to thrive, such as support with governance, guidance, small grants, training and insurance, as well as opportunities for networking and sharing skills with other groups.

As CAG project coordinator for the East Devon area, you will be nurturing and supporting place-based community groups, so location is essential. The successful candidate must live in central or East Devon or be within a reasonable commuting distance of East Devon. Mileage will be paid for travel within the East Devon area.

You will liaise with the contract manager and the local authority representative and have experience and enthusiasm for sustainability, community development and grass roots activities. You’ll be joining a close-knit team, working with the CAG Devon Project Manager and Project Officer, and occasionally with our wider Resource Futures team.

What you will be doing

• Promoting the CAG Project across East Devon:
  • Establishing contact with communities and key people, through networking, attending and speaking at local events, writing posts, blogs and articles, and speaking to groups.
  • Contributing to the CAG Devon website and social media presence.
• Identifying the needs of local groups (with them), including the resources and plans needed to implement their community-based initiatives.
• Providing individual support to assist groups plan and implement their activities:
  • Guiding communities in the development of practical waste reduction and wider biodiversity and sustainability projects.
  • Providing advice on fundraising and project management for these projects.
  • Providing support to community groups and volunteers through identifying and organising appropriate training events, skill sharing sessions and individual support.

CXK are recruiting a 2 Project Coaches to work on the ‘Steps to Success’project, delivered in partnership with East Sussex County Council (ESCC).

Funded by the Careers Enterprise Company, this exciting project will deliver a tested model across secondary schools, supporting young people in year 10 to achieve successful pathways post year 11.

Role Purpose

You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.

THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you, alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, will play a critical role in supporting this growth to be managed well, and in ways that allow colleagues to maintain a focus on existing projects and programmes.

Main Responsibilities

The Foundation is seeking a Project Coordinator with experience in the employment/recruitment sector to lead on delivering our newly launched Training Grounds programme (9-12-month post), in partnership with the EFL Trust and 7x other club community organisations, aimed at supporting young people aged 16 to 24 who are not in employment, education or training into positive outcomes (employment, education or social).

The Project Coordinator will be joining at an exciting time of growth for the Employment and Skills department with the aim of supporting the delivery and evaluation of our newly launched Training Grounds programme. The postholder will lead on community outreach initiatives that aim to recruit 96 or more participants (aged 16 to 24) from Haringey and Enfield over 12 months and support them with life skills geared towards the achieve positive outcomes in education, employment or social attainments conducted through group and 1-2-1 sessions. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the EFL Trust to capture and record the achievement of outcomes and journey progression of participants on the Training Grounds Programme.

About the Organisation

Together We Learn is a small international development charity with a vision to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia by enabling disadvantaged children to access quality education.

We have been working closely with our Ethiopian partner organisation for over 25 years to achieve this. Our UK team is a small, close- knit team that supports the fundraising, international communications, and project delivery of the Ethiopian team.

Our approach is to work alongside state education infrastructure, addressing a range of needs related to access to and quality of education, as well as children’s wellbeing.

Our work with schools includes school infrastructure projects - providing safe, local schools - and supporting teachers with training and resources to inspire children to flourish in the classroom. We also work closely with the children, their families and communities to understand and address the issues they face at home and how these impact their ability to attend and concentrate in school.

We are at the start of a new strategic phase with a focus on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner organisation to shift the power and be more locally-led in our work.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a connection to Ethiopia, or from the African diaspora.

Project Coordinator

The Role: The Project Coordinator supports our Ethiopian Projects team deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on our various project activities. The role involves regular communication with both our regional project teams and management, supporting the team to meet project deadlines, driving continual programme improvement through monitoring, evaluation and learning, and supporting the UK Chief Executive with project reporting and funding proposals.

Reports to: Chief Executive
Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time role 40%)
Salary: £8,620 per annum (21,550 pro rata)
Location: London office, preference for hybrid working, remote applications considered, employee must be living in the UK.

Responsibilities

Supporting project delivery (70%)

• Regularly liaising with our project teams in Ethiopia to support them to monitor project deliverables alongside project plans in a timely manner and ensure changes are communicated to relevant parties
• Support with monitoring, evaluation and learning processes by ensuring monitoring and evaluation deadlines are met, collating, analysing and formatting data for review, leading discussions on impact review and supporting discussions for continuous programme development. Including managing office volunteers to support our work in these areas.
• Support the Ethiopian team to track and understand markers of good quality, sustainable projects and to continuously improve upon these.
• Supporting the Ethiopia team to develop projects, applying learning from evaluations and developing new project concepts.
• Supporting the team to include and prioritise beneficiary perspective to lead project design, implementation and monitoring procedures 
• Support the Ethiopian team to develop, include and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, with special attention to safeguarding.

Fundraising (20%)

• Reporting to donors and funders on project delivery, ensuring deadlines for reporting are met, collating data and Ethiopian team feedback, and writing up funder reports in a timely manner.
• Supporting the Chief Executive to research potential funders and prepare and evidence funding proposals.
• Drafting template funder proposals.
• Occasionally attending funder events
• Support the UK team to communicate with supporters via monitoring the fundraising inbox, liaising with international volunteers, tour guests or other queries.

Other (10%)

• Support with building the capacity of the Ethiopian team through working practices and training in relevant areas.
• Communicate about our work with stakeholders via writing blogs, newsletter and Annual Report chapters.

• Ensure that the Women on the Front Line (WFL) programme strategy and implementation stages are clearly communicated to stakeholders on regular basis.

PROJECT MANAGER
THE ABBEY OF ST EDMUND: A MILLENNIUM OF ENGLISH HISTORY IN WEST SUFFOLK

Thanks to National Lottery players, St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in partnership with West Suffolk Council and English Heritage, has received a Development Phase grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to conserve the Abbey of St Edmund ruins, deliver universal access through a network of footpaths, and build a heritage welcome centre within a line of listed buildings facing the town’s public space.

We are now looking for a Project Manager to co-ordinate and assist in the management of the development phase, which will last until February 2026. If we are successful in our delivery phase application, the role will continue for a further three years. We’re looking for someone with:

• Similar project management experience, at a comparable level of cost and complexity, especially working on Heritage Fund projects.

• Experience of working on projects with complex structures (we have three project partners: St Edmundsbury Cathedral, English Heritage and West Suffolk Council).
• A good understanding of audiences for heritage to enable activity planning and audience development to take place alongside the capital and design works.

Flexible working, but must be on site at least 2 days a week.

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a driven person to join us as our Project Coordinator. You will be plan, develop and manage behaviour change projects which encourage and empower people to walk, wheel and cycle across the East Midlands. 

Reporting to the Head of Behaviour Change, you will be working closely with external Council Officers, as well as with regional colleagues across Sustrans.

As the Project Coordinator you will be line manager to two Project Officers, helping them develop skills and knowledge in planning, delivering, and evaluating behaviour change interventions.

Candidates should be based within the geographical area with weekly travel expected to Ilkeston and Derby.
