We are seeking a Young People Support Worker to work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to care leavers aged 16-18 in supported accommodation.

About the Role

As Young People Support Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. You will participate in our programme of meaningful activity by running group sessions and activities within the accommodation to support young people’s individual development and social engagement.

In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

You will work a rolling rota of daytimes, evenings and weekends (some shifts will be lone working) including bank holidays to ensure that young people have full staff support during their most difficult times. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure client safety, wellbeing, and adherence to safeguarding and emergency procedures.

• Deliver high-quality risk assessments, support plans, and one-to-one/group support to build client resilience.

• Foster partnerships with local agencies to support clients while following data protection protocols.

• Engage flexibly and creatively with clients, encouraging their involvement in decisions and participation in activities.

• Support clients in accessing education, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities.

• Maintain health and safety standards, prepare accommodations for new clients, and oversee accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with team members, volunteers, and attend training and meetings as required, ensuring contract compliance.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Experience working with young people or those affected by homelessness.

• Understanding of the needs of individuals facing homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or the care system.

• Knowledge of risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.

• Strong literacy, numeracy, IT skills, and commitment to diversity, equality, and professional integrity.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work collaboratively, and reflect on practices for continuous development.

The award-winning NSPCC Communications directorate is known for its talent, expertise and creativity in inspiring and challenging people to act on child abuse. We work collaboratively, both organisationally and across integrated communications disciplines, to deliver shared outcomes and measurable results through all available communications channels. 

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Marketing and Planning team, which has a key role in driving awareness and understanding of our support for children, parents and professionals. We work closely with teams across the NSPCC to raise awareness of our vital services, behaviour change campaigns and income generation which helps us continue to fight for every childhood.

The Strategic Marketing Manager will focus on marketing to adults, in particular parents. They will lead a team of 3 to deliver our flagship behaviour change campaigns, Talk PANTS and Look Say Sing Play, working with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to expand the reach of our campaigns. They will lead on raising awareness of the NSPCC Helpline, that anyone can contact if they are worried about child and support wider priority campaigns that may include Brand and Online Safety. In addition, they will work closely with Income Generation, Services and Strategy and Knowledge on key projects and campaigns to ensure we are working together to maximise income and impact. 

The post-holder will have significant experience in leading insights-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that make an impact, from development through to delivery, overseeing a small team. They’ll be a great communicator, able to build effective working relationships and influence a range of stakeholders. They will be calm and measured to crisis coupled with an ability to make quick decisions. This individual will be highly collaborative in nature with a collaborative spirit in the immediate team and wider communications team. Alongside a desire to continuously learn and develop with a strong ambition to ‘make a difference’.

Job purpose

• The Marketing Manager will work closely with teams across the NSPCC to devise and deliver communications campaigns and projects across a range of disciplines. Specifically: 
• To lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications activity to promote behaviour change campaigns, Talk PANTS and Look Say Sing Play, NSPCC Helpline and other priority campaigns. 
• To line manage and support three roles (one senior officer, one officer and one coordinator) to achieve the wider team objectives. 
• To support and contribute to the Marketing and Communications planning process, particularly for our general public and parent audiences. 
• To evaluate communications activity in order to inform future activity.
• To contribute to the Communication Directorate’s purpose of ensuring that all communication is of
• an appropriate high standard, consistent with the NSPCC’s brand identity.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Lead a team to plan and deliver NSPCC’s flagship behaviour change campaigns, Talk Pants and Look Say Sing Play, managing both multi-channel paid marketing campaigns and utilise opportunities via owned/earned for promotion.
• To provide high quality marketing communications materials across a range of disciplines, working with relevant staff across the NSPCC.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to expand the reach and impact of our campaigns.
• To develop insight-led campaigns and evaluate all marketing activity to make recommendations and improve future activity.

Person specification

The Team:
 
The Global Safeguarding Team work together with business delivery units to manage and mitigate safeguarding risks across the organisation. 
 
This role is specifically focused to support the Cultural Engagement (CE) business unit and has a dotted line to the Cultural Engagement Operations team. CE brings together our work in arts, education, English & School Education and research. With a workforce of approximately 1000 globally and an income in 2023/24 of over £230 million, CE delivers impact through research and insight, sector engagement, policy dialogue and a mixed portfolio of commercial and non-commercial work globally.  

The purpose of the CE Operations function is to set and support an operating environment that enables CE to efficiently deliver the CE global business plan. It focuses on enabling teams to embed ways of working, good practice, continual improvement and to demonstrate compliance.
 
The Role:
 
As Safeguarding Manager, you will lead the implementation of the British Council safeguarding framework and resources across all Cultural Engagement programme delivery and ensure practice is aligned with the global Safeguarding policy and strategy. 
 
As part of this, you will lead the development of fit for purpose resources that can be practically and usefully embedded within the Cultural engagement project/programme lifecycle. 
 
The role is to provide proactive safeguarding advice, consultation and as required, direction and assistance across Cultural Engagement global delivery, ensuring that British Council Safeguarding policies, procedures, tools/resources and protocols are appropriately embedded and adhered to within all activities and programmes.
 
The role is to promote a positive and proactive organisational safeguarding culture which creates a safe environment for children and adults who come into contact with the British Council.   You will ensure the management control and data system is effectively managed and data shared and used intelligently to manage risk. 

 
Accountabilities:
As part of promoting safeguarding the role holder will be required to:

• Embed and manage the overall framework and resources which provide guidance and support for CE programme managers so that they can confidently use them across the programme lifecycle 
• Ensure safeguarding due diligence as per requirements of the FCDO – with special referenced to PSEAH – Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment
•  Embed safeguarding into programme design and bids to clients.
•  Initiate and deliver programmes safely by reducing risk and assisting with the management of any incidents in a professional way linked to agreed global safeguarding risk thresholds.
• Close programmes and conduct lessons learnt to inform new programme design.
• Manage and lead a safeguarding community of practice of experienced programme managers who support the development and maintenance of the safeguarding framework and resources to ensure it responds to the various needs of different sectors, clients and geographies.
• Provide support and advice to a wide range of Cultural Engagement stakeholders, including regional/country portfolio and program and safeguarding leads, as required in relation to British Council  activity and risk management, ensuring Safeguarding requirements are understood, measure compliance, share best practice; ensure alignment of approaches and where appropriate co-ordinate messaging in line with the wider corporate and global safeguarding team. 
• Based on the British Council global safeguarding case management policy, provide support and guidance to global cultural engagement staff to report and manage incident-based risks. 

 
There will also be collaboration with an extended team consisting of Cultural Engagement teams covering Risk, Internal Communications, Media, Employee Relations and Reward, Contract Management and Legal.

Requirements of the role:
•    Experience of working in an international development context and in an international (matrix) organization
•    A sound knowledge of international safeguarding standards and service delivery within statutory and non-statutory settings 
•    Experience of creating, managing and implementing safeguarding frameworks and tools for project and programme management 
•  Delivering effective safeguarding engagement and learning initiatives

The Evidence & Evaluation Manager / Senior Economist will work in a dedicated Impact and Evidence directorate. 

You will be central to our ambition to create the largest repository of robust evidence and evaluations of what works to support young people into good jobs.

• In the directorate, you will support the Head of Evaluation to ensure all Youth Futures’ investments are designed to provide robust evidence of what works.
• The postholder will design, commission and manage impact evaluations and support impact evaluation methods (through a statistics or economics background) within the team. Working closely with commissioned independent evaluators, programme staff, wider delivery partners and colleagues in our Grants and Investment directorate.
• You will also work with colleagues to develop new programmes, which will improve the evidence base on supporting young people into good jobs by working with partners able to run larger-scale trials. 
• You will contribute to the development of our suite of ‘evaluation architecture’, enhancing our data infrastructure and administrative dataset access, as well as methodological guidance and standards. 

This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

About the Role

The Head of Public Affairs and Policy is responsible for overseeing Reprieve’s political engagement and policy work; managing public affairs and policy focused staff; and steering forward advocacy and policy that advances Reprieve’s strategic objectives on behalf of our clients in all the jurisdictions where we operate.

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £61,003 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 
This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home. With an estimated 4.5 million children in the UK living in poverty – including 1 million experiencing destitution and around 900,000 living in bed poverty – we have an aspiration to reach more children, in more areas of high need across the country. 

We are now looking to appoint, for the first time, a dedicated Fundraising Events Manager to work within our small and dynamic Fundraising & Supporter Engagement team. You will help us unlock the financial and awareness-raising potential that a programme of events can deliver as we seek to lift more children out of bed poverty across more parts of the country.

As our ideal candidate, you will need to be within commuting distance to our Leeds warehouse, meaning you can travel regularly to meet with the team. 

You will be someone who has proven experience in fundraising event management and/or the delivery of successful corporate events, from concept to execution. 

Alongside your fundraising-related skills and experience, we’ll be looking to see that you have a genuine care for our mission and, as such, are self-motivated to do a great job and be a values-led member of our team.

About Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART) 

Founded in 2012, the Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART) is a charity dedicated to restoring and protecting the rivers of the Bristol Avon. Guided by an evidence-based, ecosystem-wide approach, we focus on the health of the entire catchment, not just the rivers themselves.

The post holder will join a growing, ambitious team delivering multi-benefit projects to protect and improve the Bristol Avon catchment, and the Trust Administrator will play a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of the Trust’s operations.

Job summary and purpose

The Trust Administrator is responsible for maintaining the core administrative functions of the Trust to ensure the smooth operation of the charity, enabling its mission to ensure healthy rivers for wildlife and people.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Trust Administrator will work with a range of internal and external contacts to ensure routine business functions, human and physical resources, supporter and governance liaison are working well. The role will involve working closely with the Chief Executive, but also with other members of the team, Trustees, supporters and suppliers.

The role will require exceptional organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, an attention to detail, and working flexibly in an agile environment. Experience of organisational administration in the public, private or charity sector, and experience of HR, meetings administration and IT are essential while purchasing and negotiating with suppliers is desirable. A helpful and positive attitude is needed, as is a willingness to embrace flexible ways of working.
